Their advance had been more successful than Naale had expected. Although they were meeting some resistance, it was minimized by the fact that most of the Hutt forces were concentrated on the capital building, not the two squads of Imperial stormtroopers steadily advancing from the rear. Currently, she was hunkered down behind a pile of rubble with a few troopers. There was a group of Hutt soldiers clumped up in an old building. Although there were only a few, they had the high ground-and the E-Web.

At that moment, the heavy weapon made its presence known by sending a short burst of fire into Naale's cover. Shrapnel rained down on the Imperial troops, but fortunately their armor was durable enough that any major injuries were avoided. Still, she felt a small sting in her wrist and glanced down. Wedged into her environment suit, between the armor, was a small piece of stone. Cursing silently, the Chiss gently pried the offending debris out of her skin and flicked it away. "You okay, sir?" the trooper next to her asked, shifting uncomfortably in his crouched position. She silently nodded. "We need to knock out that repeater," Naale said instead. Raising a hand to the side of her helmet, she activated her comm. "Bring up a KTV repeater. The rest of you, get ready to provide covering fire." There was a curt acknowledgement over her helmet comm, and a moment later a soldier was sprinting across the street, clutching a KTV repeating blaster by the middle and keeping low. The enemy gunners spotted him and began to swing their weapon around to fire at him, but before they were able to Naale rose halfway out of her cover and popped off two shots before ducking back down. She didn't hit anything, but it was enough to distract the enemy gunners long enough for the KTV gunner to prepare his weapon.

The sound punctured the noise of battle, ominous and lethal. It sounded like someone was ripping up a piece of flimsi incredibly fast. That wasn't it, through. This was a weapon. The E-Web went silent, and Naale rose from her position, weapon at the ready, and moved forward with a small nod to the KTV operator. Behind her, the rest of her men advanced as well, stepping through smoke and over rubble and bodies like unwavering grey-and-white angels of death. "Good work," Naale said coldly, her voice altered a little by her helmet.
(Mostly a filler post. Nobody can directly see them, they will be at Main Street next round.)

Kyp’s mistake was ignoring the closer threat.

On the battlefield, waiting to coordinate an attack with a specific shot was a luxury rarely afforded. As he faced the farther Magnus waiting on the perfect timing for his rocket, Merian pounced with a Force-assisted leap that would land her on the Mandalorian’s hovercart in melee range and swung her lightsaber center mass, hoping to bisect him between the chest and the waist. Due to his intended course of action, focused and aiming at the distant defender, he would be hard-pressed to turn and react to the Knight-Captain’s charge before her saber found him.

Her quick leap had the added benefit of avoiding the Hutt’s shots targeted at her, though the way he was Force pushed and had to hang on to his sled to even stay atop it while being pushed back a dozen meters had already disrupted his aim a fair bit. And now, her new position on the Mandalorian’s hovercart provided her with cover through the boxes Kyp had himself used to shield himself from the Imperial defenders.

If the Mandalorian survived her assault, she would press the attack and strike at the arm holding any weapon the Lepi might point at her, hoping to take advantage of an opponent wielding no melee weapon in close range.

Dar'baal almost cheered at the sight of a combo attack damaging the Miraluka Knight. But there were more Knights and Imperial forces already closing in, causing more trouble for the invasion force as a result. The Hutt had turned to face the Knight-Captain but his blasts had missed so far and now Merian were too close for the Scion to fire unless they wanted to risk hitting the Lepi Mandalorian. But everyone seemed to be focusing on the yellow armored being, including the Miraluka who rose and cried a rallying charge. The brightly armored bunny-boy certainly drew attention and the Scion was happy to take advantage of that.

The Hutt spun their hover-sled to face Magnus and strafed to the side while the "blind" force sensitive focused their primary attention on Kyp. As Dar'baal moved they fired two cannon shots at Magnus (@Xan ) in an effort to be more precise in their shooting than before. These were still aimed at their legs since that seemed to have a decent effect from before. The Hutt hover-sled's movement took them further away from Kyp and distanced themselves from the Knight-Captain while having the added bonus of becoming more difficult to see with any peripheral vision from the subordinate knight.

The Hutt continued to move closer to the Capitol Building as a result amidst the chaos of battle. He faced south and could see the Disparaged approaching and also keep an eye on the Mandalorian in case he or his opponent needed more attention. There were imperial forces also closing in down Main Street. This was going to be a hard battle but the Scion knew that even before jumping to hyperspace earlier. Drool slightly dribbled out of the corner of his mouth as he salivated, eager to taste victory.

Dar'baal shoots at Magnus's legs carefully twice with his blaster cannon while strafing to the side, traveling eastward towards the Capitol Building.

Mythos has timed out. Other details/updates were mentioned in the OOC here like weapons and 1 kilometer distance being voided. Please review.

Kyp didn't have long to celebrate the rocket making purchase on his target because a number of things happened at once. The first was that an Imperial Knight decided that his hovercart was currently the best spot for her to be right now. The second thing was that the Houk piloting the hovercart, quite reasonably, freaked out at this and shouted a warning to Kyp.

"Sir!" The Houk shouted. It was given with enough time for Kyp to quickly pivot and turn and that was about it. His turn and the beskar alloy turned what would have been a fatal belly bisection into a still-serious gash in Kyp's left side.

To make matter worse, the Knight pressed on, taking off Kyp's rifle arm and the rifle with it. Seeing no other options and needing to leave and get medical help, Kyp turned to the only thing he could access in such a short time. His wrist repulsor. He blasted it at Merian after his arm was gone. Done quickly and without proper bracing, it was sure to hurt and possibly break his other arm but it would also no doubt send her flying hard, perhaps into the crates behind her.

TLDR: Kyp takes serious damage to his lower left torso and loses his rifle arm and rifle. He fires his repulsor at Merian to create some space.

For the sake of this PvP, i will be using these from here on out for now:

Driving forth through the clashing souls engaging in the glorious torment of battle, The Lieutenant grinned beneath his helm as another stepped up to plate. But this time, his weapon froze, the Javelin hissing a silent and exhausted exhale. Tossing it aside, he activated his vibro-knuckers as the knuckled blades vibrated with its malicious hunger for flesh and blood. He could hear the Houk's screams as it bellowed in pain when he connected with an arm, feel the desperation upon the air as he drove his plastoid knee into the gut of the beast, and witness the disparaging agony it grasped as he brought his fist down across it's jaw.

Then came the hallucigenic ringing of the air as he felt his form instantly get wrecked with the engulfing pain of heat before it all came crashing down in a sudden aching thud. An small charge had been thrown in their general direction, which side was lost upon the recoiling tides of battle, as it sent both reeling in opposite directions, stunned and skin broiled. As The Lieutenant grasped at the wall he was flung into, the background noise was muffled as he steadied both his equilibrium and vertigo, pain engulfing his left arm as the plastoid bored into the flesh of it. With his right hand, he shuffled out a stim-pack and injected it into his arm, his gaze shifting about.

As the pain began to dull and his adrenaline skyrocketed, he gathered to his feet as fast as he could. "Not here damn it." He half hazardly cursed, pulling forth his only remaining ranged weapon and let loose one of the six volleys it held as crimson pierced armor of a noticeable Houk. "I'll be damned if I let a slug get the better of me."

With that said, his attention quickly fell upon @Darasuum and another volley recoiled.

The flow of the battle seemed to be changing once again, and Magnus remembered once again that this was technically his first true battle. It was nothing like training or simulations, with everything changing so quickly that it was almost difficult to keep up with the ever-shifting variables. He had begun with nothing but the capital security force, rallying them to avoid being essentially trapped under siege in the capital building itself. Now the battle had shifted into something of a melee in front of the building itself, with all of the attendant forces clashing right in front of the western steps.

The Miraluka felt like he was in the center of the chaos, though perhaps it would have been more accurate to say that the battle orbited around Dar'baal. Once the Hutt fell, the battle would be over, but the problem was in reaching the enemy leader. Magnus was currently busy engaging the Houks in melee combat, silver blade arcing over and over again as it amputated and evicerated in equal measure. He had intended to make his way towards the Mandalorian, but Magnus had changed his mind abruptly upon seeing Knight-Captain Sere leap in that direction. If Sere wanted to claim that enemy, then it would be one less thing for Magnus to concern himself with in these crucial seconds.

Instead he turned his full attention back towards Dar'baal, who was wheeling around once again to look at him. Very well, if the Hutt wanted to continue blasting him, then Magnus would have to continue holding his attention. Deciding against continued leaps and jumps, the Knight decided to use the one resource that was abundant and close at hand: the Houks. Specifically, the one that was currently engaging him in combat, which Magnus sliced diagonally across the torso from waist to shoulder. The dying Houk would then be held in Magnus's grip, the Miraluka using its height to his advantage by focusing only on "controlling" its torso. The rest of it could dangle and drag along the ground, given that there would still be plenty of mass left for his intentions.

He would hold the Houk while stepping slowly away from it, careful to keep the creature between himself and the Hutt until Dar'baal fired, at which point he would toss the spent corpse aside. Never once to waste an opportunity, Magnus would then engage with another group of Houks, intending to make it more difficult to specifically target him among the crowd. Did he truly believe that the Hutt cared about its own creatures enough to avoid hitting them? By the Emperor, no. What he did believe was that he needed to make it more difficult to shoot him without the shots having a higher chance of hitting the Houks than the much shorter Miraluka amongst their number.

Naale peered over the concrete barricade and placed a hand to the side of her helmet, zooming in on the center of the battle. It was chaos. A Mandalorian was getting chopped up by an Imperial Knight, a Hutt was gliding around the battlefield-probably the enemy commander-and there was fierce fighting all over. Naale and her squads were at the end of 'Main Street' opposite the largest area of conflict. She crouched back down and turned to her men. "We're going to advance along this street. Do not get in melee range of Hutt troops unless you want to have your arms removed." There was a collection of nods and 'yes sirs,' which the Chiss acknowledged before vaulting over the barricade and sprinting toward a pile of rubble about halfway down the street. There was only spattered enemy fire, but she heard the thump of plastoid against concrete and winced.

Naale knelt behind the rubble pile and aimed at the Hutt with her carbine, firing three shots. Although at the upper end of the weapon's range, it would at worst distract the overgrown slug from the charging knight and at best eliminate the Hutt. Around her, her men had taken cover wherever they could-rubble, doorways, burnt-out tanks, anything-and were opening fire as well.

Naale's troops arrive at main street and take cover where they can. Naale hides behind rubble halfway down the street and fires three carbine shots at Dar'baal.

Merian felt her saber bite just before the violent blast pushed her away, crashing her into the crates behind her and knocking the wind out of her, though her Knight armor protected her well enough against mundane impacts like this one. As she reeled, she wasted no time assessing the Mandalorian before her and decided he was no longer a threat. Between the gash at his side and his inability to fire his rifle, better to focus on enemies yet standing. More efficient. Any energy he had left would be better spent seeking medical support before shock took him. He’d shoot again at his own peril.

Like with all Hutt mercenaries, Merian trusted loyalty owed to credits would only go so far.

Leaving the Lepi for dead, the Knight-Captain jumped off the hovercart over the rails where she’d been pushed and moved on to the next fight. Two more imperial detachments seemed to have made it to the front, turning the battle swiftly in their favor. Her knights rallied around her, pounding the remaining Houks in melee. But he remained.

Merian took a few, slow steps in Dar’baal’s direction, arms wide in challenge. Her orange blade flashed in her right hand, white mourning cape flowing below her left arm.

“It’s over, Hutt!” she cried out. “Eyes bigger than your stomach. Impressive, for your kind. Now give yourself in and pray the Supreme Mogul thinks your hide is worth the price we ask for the Emperor’s mercy.”

Closing in, Merian wholly expected the cowardly Hutt to use his sled to make a break for it. At the first sign of him attempting to flee, she would use the Force to keep him in place until either the slug’s arms gave or the Knight-Captain’s power did.

The clever Knight Dar’baal had aimed to shoot, blocked the damaging might of the blaster cannon with the body of the Scion’s own troops. It was frustrating to say the least but the Hutt did not care about the life of the Houk that had been severed by the Imperial. He needed to think up something else quickly before they got close.

The approaching enemies from the south and west were closing fast. Dar’baal knew that it was only a matter of time before he started drawing attention from the rest of the imperial defenders and so elevated his airsled by five meters to take evasive maneuvers. This happened just in time for him to avoid the single sniper shot from Lieutenant of the Disparaged whilst also similarly being missed by the Chiss marksman down mainstreet. Both the sniper bolt and the three blaster bolts from Ina’al’ena would fly beneath the hutt’s airsled and miss him completely. Had he been flying a slower and more opulent skiff the shots may have connected. But thankfully the airsled had excellent maneuverability.

From an elevated position he looked down on the battlefield. He could see the tide of the fight turning against him and knew victory was slipping away. A voice reached his ears from one of the beings below.

The Scion stared down with a yellow eyed glare at the Knight Captain who had cut down the Lepi Mandalorian. The young Hutt debated what to do but he was not suicidal. < “ Very well. I will surrender under the conditions that you treat my forces with the utmost hospitality. ” > He began tapping the controls on his hoversled to relay commands to his remaining forces. Those that were able to escape in space would begin making calculations to jump to hyperspace. The rest that were on the ground would be given orders to stand down and surrender. Unlike the Empire when a Hutt makes a deal they keep it.

Dar’baal increases altitude by five meters, avoiding the sniper blaster from the Lieutenant as it passes beneath him.
This also causes the three shots from Ina’al’ena to miss beneath the Hutt as well.

In the air he converses with Merian on conditions of surrender while also telling his forces on the ground to do the same. Those in orbit, unbeknownst to the Empire, will make jumps to return to hyperspace.

Kyp miraculously was still alive after jumping out of the hovercart. Even better his arm wasn't broken from the repulsor blast. Well, he might be missing a limb and there was a bit of a hole where some of his torso ought to be but goddamn it, he was a Mandalorian. A Lepi scrapper! A Cartel Enforcer! He wasn't going down without a fight so easy. With his remaining hand, he drew his Bryar pistol, determined to go out in a blaze of glory.

Instead he went out like a light as his injuries caught up to him and he sank into unconsciousness. The Houks around him tried pulling his body to safety and get a medic to him.

TLDR: Kyp is out of the fight.

Merian motioned for the Imperial troops to stand down—for now. She hadn’t stopped walking towards the now-stationary skiff, slowly and confidently closing the distance.

“You’re in no position to make any sort of demands,” she shot back. “Unconditional. Hospitality will be granted at the Emperor’s discretion. The assets you brought to Raxus are forfeit. Fleet and tanks included, to be turned in for seizure by the Imperial Security Bureau immediately. Otherwise, no agreement.”

Though the Hutt couldn’t see it, Merian’s eyes burned behind the stoic helmet of the Imperial Knights. The half-smile, half-snarl that sometimes appeared when she smelled blood. She stole a glance at Magnus, close to her now, to make sure he was mostly unharmed. The young knight had gone above and beyond today.

“Or we pick up where we left off,” she suggested. Nodded to the troops behind her. “They’d be happy to. Would you?”

Just like that, something in the battle shifted and everything began to grind to a slow and steady halt. There was still tension in the air of course, but at least the active battle seemed to be over. The Hutt had avoided being blasted by the Imperial reinforcements, yet their arrival had presumably shown it that this battle could no longer be won. Focusing his attention on the reinforcements, Magnus could understand the Hutt's logic. His forces were essentially surrounded, with presumably more forces on their way from various corners of the planet and beyond. Even accounting for the time it would take for more Imperial forces to arrive, the tides of battle had shifted dramatically towards the Imperial's favor.

Regardless, the battle was presumably ending now, and Magnus began to walk with careful slowness towards Knight-Captain Sere. Fortunately, it was not a large distance to cover, as the Hutt had been approaching his direction through the chaos of the battle. While the pain from his wounds had been largely covered by adrenaline and focus, now Magnus was beginning to feel the pain from where the rocket had damaged his left side. Fortunately, the wounds were mostly surface-level, with cuts and bruises that felt (and probably looked) worse than they actually were. It was enough that he had no desire to strain his injured leg, so he walked with purpose towards the meeting between the battle's leaders.

Despite the injuries however, he had survived his first major battle. Actually, he might well have done better than survive, given the security forces that were still alive behind him. Maybe, just maybe, his actions in this battle might bring about a greater perception of the Imperial Knights in the eyes of the Empire itself. If he was not mistaken, there was a layer of suspicion towards the Order, on account of its largely Sith origins. A Knight rallying the capitol security forces and defending the building in a last stand was the kind of situation that made for an excellent public relations image...ah well, something to worry about later.

For now, Magnus would stand nearby to the Knight-Captain, saluting her in the Imperial fashion. He would not speak just yet, considering the fact that she was engaged in "negotiations" with Dar'baal. There would be plenty of time for debriefing and the like later...after the Hutt's formal surrender and incarceration.

As the plasma of the E-11s exited the barrel and backed by Tibanna gas as it discharged, the crimson bolt flew tried and true at the Lieutenant's aim, flying beneath the hoversled and striking a Houk at the Hutt's backside. He grimaced beneath his mask, the target having moved about the battlefield and left his underlings in the line of fire. That said, the battle seemed to be dying out as the Imperial Knights began negotiations. Shaking his head, he knew the politics and affairs were above his own pay grade. With a raised fist, the Disparaged stopped their assault and weapons were lowered.

"Disparaged!" The Lieutenant hollered outward over the lingering silence that encompassed most of the battlefield as the negotiations continued. "Apprehend the enemy, and we'll let the Emperor decide their fates per the rules of engagement."

"Ooh rah!" resounded amongst the Disparaged as stun cuffs were brought out and placed upon the Hutt's men, and the wounded would be quickly set upon by Imperial Medics. For those whom were beyond saving, the Medics would ease the passing with meds and mindful hearts. The horrors of war were harsh for either side, and the Lieutenant would respond accordingly and with kindness. No life would be snuffed out from here on out unless orders said otherwise.

At the rear of the Imperial Knights, The Lieutenant would stand at ease, weapon hanging loosely across the front of his armor and hands at the rear. If Raxus could be settled without more bloodshed, this would be his mission. Otherwise, as much as he loathed war, he was good at it and would follow orders into the gates of the Corellian Hell without question. Now it was his betters time to shine and settle this.

The Knight-Captain boldly spoke to the Hutt Scion who glowered down at them with his yellow slit pupil eyes. The message was already sent to his fleet that the day was lost so the ships in orbit were past the point of no-return and he was not going to order them to halt their hyperspace jumps. Furthermore there were many that would not desire detainment in Imperial prisons and seek freedom for themselves and their crew, acting on their own accord to the point of even ignoring the call for surrender. However, everyone else still struggling to escape the fight or among the planet would surrender per his orders.

The frustrated expression of Dar'baal coming to terms with his loss changed to a more relaxed and even jovial look. <"Ho ho ho ho!"> His deep voice echoed from up high as he began descending from his altitude, showing no further signs of hostility. <"You are a gutsy one. I'll give you that. I doubt you have the authority to grant me the conditions I desire anyways. Very well, biped. My forces and I surrender unconditionally.">

Once on the ground Dar'baal dismounted from their airsled, leaving their hookah pipe and whip behind. Their grubby hands were raised as high as they could go. But a smug expression perpetuated across the Scion's face. This was a minor set back. The great Drast Empire had taken a hit that the galaxy would not soon forget. While this Knight-Captain grew weak and old with age, the Hutts would continue their machinations from one era to the next.

Just wanted to put a friendly note in here to advise everyone that timing out twice in one battle has consequences.

@Interdictor has timed out for the second time in this thread. Under different circumstances that could mean they are removed from the thread or "lose" by being captured or have some other consequences. It doesn't matter too much in this situation since the day is already won by the imperial side but the same thing happened at the end of the Kessel battle @Ina'al'ena was involved in.
