Hera sighed deeply in the cockpit of her ARC-170 starfighter. She had delayed this trip far too long, and it weighed heavily on her that this delay could have caused unnecessary suffering. It was not entirely necessary, but a dozen and one things had consumed her focus and her mind as she prepared for this trip. But those things were aside now, the real work was ready to be done.
R6 chirped at her from behind her seat and she turned back to grin at the little droid. Still, no idea what he was trying to say, but Hera had deciphered that the machine was capable of chirping in appropriate tones for emotions. It sounded like he was concerned, so she smiled in his direction to try and ease the little droid. "I'll be fine! We're going on an adventure!" And at that, she began her approach to the surface.
She was late, of course, she was late, but it wasn't entirely on purpose. Hera had simply forgotten the time that she had told her companions to meet her on the surface of the world. Entering the atmosphere of Ventooine without much trouble, she headed toward the spaceport where the four beings arraigned to meet. After setting down her fighter, checking in with the local customs, and telling R6 to watch the ship, she headed for the spaceport lobby.
Entering, she scanned the room for her companions, a pair of mercenaries. For many Jedi, this would not be their first choice of companionship, but Hera was not most Jedi.
