Sorry to see you go. It's always unfortunate to see someone leave rather than roll with the story, which you can't always control and have work out for you. It's just the reality of RPing. And I'd like to point out that just because this is happening doesn't mean there's not a new story for the Mandalorians. In fact, I know there is. What's happening now isn't something slapped together out of spite. There's a lot that can be done moving forward.
I mean, if the Jedi can survive Order 66, surely the Mandalorians can survive this in some form.
Frankly, people are coddling you a little bit. Because honestly it seems like you're being the problem --even though Miss Simon is wrong, this song isn't about you. I've always noted to people here that the problem with many of the Mandalorian players is that they're more interested in role-playing than they are in role-playing. And that's fine! That's what LARP and specialized sub-forums and whatnot are for. But all too often I see a willingness to conflate the extradiagetic with the intradiagetic, to not subordinate a faction or an idea of what it should be (because let's be honest, at the end of the day these are just fictitious ****ing concepts, not something to base your life-code of honor or whatever on), etc. Really. I've seen Jedi and Sith RPers here gleefully planning/writing/reacting to their own impending doom, so I'm not sure what's got your bes'kar out of joint (are there pills for that?)
The site's bigger than you, brah. Stuff happens. I'm not sure what your previous kindness has to do with anything? Did the people who allegedly wronged you use a cat-of-nine-tails on orphans or something? Seriously. Most people here are, in fact, pretty decent and willing to help newcomers; I count it as a point of pride that I am one of the few unrepentant dickbags on here.
So yeah. I think given the fact that you've been here two years, and you clearly seem to be passionate about your stuff --otherwise you wouldn't be leaving this ransom note elaborately disguised as a huffy "I bid you good day sir!" missive-- so why not give it a chance?
You're an adult... right? Ultimately it's your choice how to react to stuff like this. I can't comment on the OOC aspects, but like I said, most of the stuff that happens here is above-board. What isn't usually isn't for a story reason. Sometimes people get hurt along the way, but that's also part of growing as a person and writer.
I suppose this is the part where I end with something in Mando'a?
It's unfortunate that you take this advancement of the story line as such a slight, especially since you have always been such a great contributor to the Mando'ade. I'd have liked to see how Clan Renelo handles such an attack- who fights to the last, who flees and to where, and what becomes of the Protectors of Olde. More importantly, this was and is our chance to unite again. It's also a direct and completely foreseeable consequence to the current independent clan leaders botching the negotiations so badly. We had a choice and this is what was chosen, in all reality, by our current leadership. Now we have a new choice. It's too bad peoples attachment to their characters can be such a hindrance to advancement.
I truly wish that was the way you would look at this, because you're one of the most consistent players here, and we could have used you. I hope you change your mind, but if you don't then good luck out there.
