"Master Jedi, I want answers!" Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl raged, his holoprojected image unable to fully capture the extent of the Wookiee's anger; which might've been comforting if not for the fact that even his holoimage was very animated. The Senator of Kashyyyk glared at the Sephi Councilor in front of him, while gesturing towards a holoreel of a recent Sith broadcast playing on a loop behind him.

"What is the meaning of this? The Jedi, the FWA, and the Sith have a fragile ceasefire in place that your Grandmaster proposed. I am aware that the Resistance was not represented at the gathering and was not included in the ceasefire, but that doesn't explain why a Jedi was just caught attacking a Sith Star Destroyer over Dantooine!" His office, thankfully not included in the scope of the hologram, was a mess- evidence of Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl's fury that was far from being vented.

"Do you understand the impossible position you've put me in?" he continued, such that T-8R was hard pressed to keep up. "I've supported the Jedi though thick and thin, but my people want to know why that should continue if the Jedi threaten the very peace that you claim to strive towards!" The ancient Wookiee glowered at the hologram of Fynn Tarrell. "Well?"

It was no surprise the incident on Dantooine would start many different problems and now Fynn found himself being only a few bad words away from potentially losing the FWA as an ally. The Resistance was known to not have been a part of the ceasefire, and that would have been fine with the Senate if the strike was just the Resistance attackers.. but it wasn't. Some Padawan had been seen swaying his lightsaber on the security footage. Now the problem was abundantly clear that the Jedi were in deep, deep shit.

"The ceasefire will still be upheld on account of the Jedi. It is not confirmed that the identity of that individual traced back to the Jedi. If you would take the time to look around the galaxy, many different people that aren't in the Jedi Order have a lightsaber. Whether they took it off a body, or found it in the black market, or hell if they knew how to make it." Fynn took a deep breath and then looked at his furry colleague, "Having a lightsaber doesn't make someone a Jedi. Look at the Sith. You know how many of them would carry a Jedi's saber and do something like this to cause a scene? Or even how many people in the open galaxy could have stolen a saber and joined the Resistance and thought they were going to make a difference?"

The Sephi almost tall enough to look the Wookiee in the eyes would walk up and lean forward at the table in front of him and sigh. This was a stressful situation and now he had to try and clean up one hell of a mess left behind by the rogue Jedi. When he gets back to Yavin, the Jedi are gonna get an ear full. "Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl.. I can assure you this wasn't a Jedi attack. As far as I can tell, this person wielding a lightsaber was just some guy scared shitless because Darth Raze was in front of him." To be fair.. who wouldn't be? The Sith Lord was a menacing man.. you'd have to be insane not to have some fear when he's around.

Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl glared at Fynn, still very much incensed. "That's your explanation? That it might be a random person with a lightsaber and not a Jedi Padawan? Do not waste my time, Master Jedi. You know as well as I do that the Resistance is closely tied to the Jedi; that defense will not stand up to any kind of scrutiny and I'm not even certain that I believe it."

The Wookiee was almost visibly shaking in anger, now. "You're correct that having a lightsaber doesn't make someone a Jedi... clearly, the Order is full of examples of that!" he continued. "This is simply the latest in a long line of very public missteps from the Jedi Order. Surely you remember how big of a fuss was made over a dozen of my people being tied to ships by vines? It completely overshadowed the fact that half of Kashyyyk was on fire, with millions murdered by the Sith!" Part of him knew that it was unfair to take his frustrations out on Fynn, but the man was a Councilor and thus held a position of import in the Jedi ranks; and this conversation had been a long time in coming.

"Let me spell it out for you. The Resistance is tied to the Jedi. I've staked my people, my planet, and my career on supporting the Jedi. My public support of your Order already got my planet attacked once; I do not want some idiots in the Resistance resuming a war that we were losing!" The aged Wookiee was breathing heavily, his outburst reaching a crescendo before his voice dropped to an low, even tone.

"What the Resistance did- with the help of a Jedi- was threaten a shaky peace deal that's only in place because there's mind-controlling bugs running around. If you want that peace to continue, the Jedi must cut all ties to the Resistance. Unless you have a better idea in order to ensure that something like this does not happen again?"

It was obvious that Aezz was not going to back down on getting what he wants. When he gave the ultimatum to choose dropping the Resistance or losing the alliance with the Free Worlds, Fynn sighed heavily. The padawan just had to be on that ship... Fynn was keen on punishing that little twerp, but they were lost to space courtesy of Darth Raze.. that bastard. "Look, Aezz." Fynn stood up straight and placed his hands on his hips. "Even if, if, this were a Jedi.. We wouldn't have been the first to break the ceasefire. You see, I figured you would be hasty in your decision making, and let anger drive you so I prepared this footage received not too long ago from Nixor."

The footage would show a red bladed warrior hacking and slashing innocent civilians after a Killik attack. The date on it dating back further than the Security footage from the Sith. "Now tell me what you see there? The SITH, broke the ceasefire." It were true. Fynn was there.. he had seen it first hand. "I had to put a stop to it.." He pulled out the Sith's lightsaber and ignited directly in front of him to show the red hue. Before beginning to speak and sheathing the weapon once more. "The Resistance would have only been countering the Sith's initial attack. We will not stand by as the Sith openly attack innocent world's and Jedi when there's a ceasefire. You can bet your hairy ass we will defend ourselves. We will not be pushed over any longer. Now.."

Fynn would clip the hilt of the red saber and then cross his arms standing tall. "I have never known you to just give up on the Jedi.. I need your support. We need your support.. Whether it's through mainstream media, or the battlefield. We are not going to let them walk over us or anyone else. I would hope you'd follow us in those endeavors." Fynn hadn't shown this annoyed side of him yet but it was time. He was fed up with the Sith twisting things and getting what they want. It was finally time to put the foot down and stand up for themselves.

"I am not hasty in my decision making!" the Wookiee snapped back, completely missing the irony of that statement, but he still watched the video that Fynn offered. While the red hue of the lightsaber wouldn't translate over the blue-colored hologram of the Jedi Councilor, Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl still understood the gesture. Still, it wasn't Fynn's argument that calmed the aged Senator down as much as it was the fact that being angry was exhausting; and he'd not taken his midafternoon nap yet. Slowly, the anger began to bleed out of Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl's body until he was leaning on his desk- looking (and feeling) every one of his 423 years. When he spoke again, the Senator's voice was tired and quiet.

"I had hope that the ceasefire would be honored" he said, shaking his head sadly. "Although it seems that there is no way to prevent conflict in this galaxy. You'd think I'd know better by now." The galaxy had been in a constant state of warfare for nearly the entirety of his long life; he still dreamed of peace, but had long since given up hope for it. Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl sighed heavily.

"Even though you know that I will fight against the Sith until my last breath, the fact remains that the FWA simply cannot afford to continue fighting the Sith and the kiliks at the same time. Tell me; has the Order been in contact with the Empire in the wake of these accusations? The ceasefire may have been violated by both sides, but this does not have to mean a resumption of war." A faint hope, but he'd heard reports coming out of Sith space that something was happening on Korriban in connection to the kiliks. Perhaps the Empire would also find it unwise to resume military operations.

"And again I would ask you; what is the Order doing to ensure that something like this does not happen again?" Momentarily the Wookiee straightened, an old fire alighting in his eyes, however briefly. "Take it from someone who's fought in a Rebellion before; one of the most important rules of a resistance movement is to not get caught."

Fynn stood as the Wookiee senator of the FWA had spoken. His face exhausted but focused on the words of the Wookiee. This was no easy task keeping the FWA on the side of the Jedi but he is doing all he can to keep ties with the Free World's on good terms to allow for the Jedi to thrive in the long run. Losing the FWA as an ally ensures that the Jedi will fail, and eventually lose its legs.. or whatever legs it may have right now.

When the furball in front of him asked if the Order had been in contact with the Sith over these allegations, Fynn almost rolled his eyes. The thought of speaking with the Sith had been on his mind of course, but he at the same time never wanted to come close to talk. Though a virtual meeting could be set up with a representative, and if that was what had to be done then he will see it done himself. "At this time no, things have been difficult to handle as of late and I'm sure the same could be said for you. Though, I can assure you I will get in touch at the first chance I get." Fynn picked up his datapad and then set it back in his bag.

"They don't tend to be quick to come to reason, but I have things I need to talk with them over. As far as preventing another act like this, we can ensure the Padawans, and some Knights are supervised when out in the galaxy. Our Jedi will be spoken to about acting with the Resistance. The Resistance though.. I can only promise I will speak with them and try to keep them contained. I cannot guarantee that will listen. You know how Rebellions are as you said. Nevertheless I will speak with them."

Fynn rubbed his eyes a little then took a deep breath as he looked in the Wookiee's direction. He only hoped this would buy him time to get to fixing the ties they have. The Jedi have had too many losses already, they cannot afford another.

Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl shook his head as Fynn concluded, fearing that the Spehi had misunderstood him. "I'm not opposed to the Resistance continuing operations against the Sith" he said, although his hopes sunk as the line of communication between the Resistance and the Jedi was confirmed. "What I am worried about is the Jedi's relationship with the Resistance dragging us all into war again. I feat Jedi who openly join the Resistance are a threat to the peace." The Wookiee pursed his lips; it was a complicated matter that they spoke about, and one the Order would have to carefully consider. "There are other ways to fight the Sith that do not involve using a lightsaber, Master Jedi." The Rebellion of old had exposed the lies of the Empire and had fought for freedom; perhaps there were lessons for them all to learn from history.

"I do not envy the position that the Order finds itself in" he mused aloud. "You are not welcome in the New Republic, and the ISC tolerates you. There are those in the FWA who favor severing ties with the Jedi entirely, and its situations like these that fan those flames. You must show the galaxy that you are more than a few very public mistakes if you want to survive; for example, the Jedi's actions on Thyferra should be held up and lauded." He'd seen the holos of a couple of Jedi and a droid leading the Cadir out to safety.

Fynn was becoming more overwhelmed as he wasn't used to the political aspect of this title being on the Council, but here he was. The Wookiee had been hounding him with so many things at once he just had to take a deep breath and then look the Wookiee Aezz in the eyes, "I hear where you are coming from. I'll will do all I can."

Fynn then received a message on his datawatch. The Sephi took a look at it and then sighed. "I have some other business to handle now, some Council things have popped up. If there is another meeting that is necessary let me suggest my fellow Councilman Zakraym La. He has proven to be a valuable ally."

Fynne felt bad for leaving but he had to go. The Wookiee surely understood where he was coming from. So the Sephi began packing his things and leaving. As he got to the door he looked back, "I will be sure to get this fixed. Just keep faith in us Senator Aezz. I will do what it takes." Then he was off to handle the other problems arising.

"Very well" Aezzairrfhowrrhudrrl's tone left no doubt that he was skeptical of the sudden "Council Business" that had popped up; it was the oldest trick in the book, and as far as the Wookiee was concerned, Fynn was already dealing with Council business by talking with him. "I will trust in your words... may your actions prove that my trust is well founded."

With a sigh, Aezzairrfwhorrhudrrl killed the holocall. Why did he have a bad feeling about this?
