Next time I won't stop at beating you half to death. You only get one chance with me, you screw up a second time, you better hope you never see me again. Buuut, as a reward for that little trick you did with your tongue, I guess I can tell yah. Plus, I seem to be in a fairly relaxed mood, heh heh.
Harrumph. Born and raised a Mando, I led a fairly normal life, for a Mando at least. Started my training in the martial skills at a fairly young age. Gave me an edge on the others growing up, not much, but anything helps. School wasn't too difficult, with dedication I was able to excel in my work, like I did in everything else. While I was busy growing up, I didn't make many friends, but there was one that I considered to be a brother. We did everything together, got into fights, lost our virginity, and even killed our first man.
After we finished our training we both decided to go merc. Bounty hunting just wasn't our thing we decided. We preferred the tactics and stratagems to war. We hired ourselves out to anyone or anything. We didn't care, we just wanted the action and money. We were successful for the most part, we did our research and weighed the pros and cons. We didn't always pick winners, but we won more than we lost. And we always made it out alive. Made a bit of a name for ourselves we did, those were fun days.
After a couple decades of that we came back to settle down, get our feet under us. We'd participated in this particularly nasty little turf war that we ended up on the losing end of. I ended up getting part of my face blown off. Yeah, I saw you starin, but it don't bother me none. Eye's artificial, pretty cheap one too. No fancy gizmos or doodads, pretty much just a regular eye. Figured what would be the point if only one of my eyes was tricked out if the other one wasn't.
He got the urge to settle down with some woman, never did like the bitch. But I tolerated her, for his sake, and his kids. If it was one thing that woman could do right, it was making babies. She produced some of the greatest babies ever, and I'm not just saying that cause I'm their godfather.
While he'd been busy making babies and getting all fat and happy, I had to figure out what to do with myself. Luckily for me, I was snagged for teaching, martial stuff. It was the best and worst thing that could have happened to me. I discovered I like teaching kids all the nifty ways you can kill a man, and with what. Raising those sons and daughters to be efficient killing machines is one of the most rewarding times of my life. I'll never forget that feeling, and never stop regretting what happened later.
Seeing as how we were friends and all, I made sure that I taught my friends kids everything I knew. Even gave them extra lessons and taught them special tricks of the trade. When it came time for their youngest to be taught, there was an accident. Completely unexpected and completely unavoidable, but it lead to her death. I wasn't to blame, and no one did, but I still couldn't help but carry a burden of guilt. I felt as if I'd let down the most important person to me. They begged me not to leave, but I did anyways. And I've been living in self-imposed exile ever since. Now I'm just a bodyguard for hire.
