NAME: Zhanna Alekseev
FACTION: N/A
RANK: N/A
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 24
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5'5"
WEIGHT: 115 lbs.
EYES: Light coppery brown (left) / Silver (right)
HAIR: Dark brown
SKIN: White
CREDITS: 1,000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:
-Burn scars covering a large part of the right side of her face
-A long scar over her right eye
-Her right eye is a cybernetic implant with a silver iris
FORCE SENSITIVE: No
COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
Petite would be a sufficiently accurate description of Zhanna's stature, as she's relatively thin and not particularly tall either. Her face and skin both have doll-like qualities to them, although that's perhaps no longer as applicable to the former since her injury. Obviously, the scars are what people tend to notice first, followed by the silvery eye.

Even so, Zhanna still meticulously applies her makeup and makes sure to dress nicely every day in an attempt to downplay her disfigurement. The contrast gives her somewhat of an unnerving and intimidating appearance, which is possibly the one and only "perk" of her disfigurement. Her outfits usually consist of fitted suits which give her an almost androgynous look from the neck down. She almost always has shoulder holsters underneath her jacket, and often wears fedora style hats to complete her look.

PERSONALITY:
Zhanna is generally cold and distant, keeping personal relationships to a minimum and keeping mostly to herself outside of work. She seems impassive most of the time, rarely ever smiling or laughing unless she's going to town on somebody with her switchblade. Whatever conscience she may still have is buried below countless layers of hate and pain, so she's capable of doing just about anything to anyone without so much as an ounce of remorse.

She's generally gloomy, has a bleak and pessimistic outlook on life and regards almost everyone with contempt. That of course includes humans, although Zhanna does hold a special brand of concentrated hate towards aliens in particular as a result of struggling against them for her entire life on Taris.

LIKES AND DISLIKES:
Zhanna used to enjoy relatively common things, but ever since the explosion, she's found it much harder to achieve any measure of happiness. Her most consistent source of pleasure now comes from inflicting pain on to others or receiving it herself, which is about as twisted as it sounds. Other than that, smoking and drinking help her to feel slightly number, which is a nice respite from her dark reality.

There's plenty of things that Zhanna dislikes, but the ones that she's most fervent about are her scars, non-humans, rival criminal organizations, snitches, law enforcement and beautiful women.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
She may not look like it, but Zhanna is exceptionally tough and resilient, having a considerably higher tolerance for pain than most people. She's excellent at keeping her cool and thinking on her feet, as it's very rare for her to get rattled or scared. She's adept enough at handling most small arms, but Zhanna truly shines when wielding her switchblade in close quarters. She's incredibly efficient with it, able to make precision cuts at lightning fast speeds. Finally, another talent that she's developed is the ability to sniff out lies. Part instinct, part experience, the end result is that even the average Force user might find it difficult to deceive her.

Although she possesses the intensity and resilience of a fiery hellcat, Zhanna's physical strength is much more in line with her size; that is to say that it's not very impressive. Being a relatively heavy smoker, her stamina isn't quite up to par with what it should be at her age, although it isn't completely terrible yet either. Psychologically, Zhanna's only glaring weakness is that she can be terribly self-conscious about her face. Certain comments or even looks can instantly set her off with unpredictable results ranging anywhere from uncontrollable rage to deep depression.

GEAR:
-2 K-77 pistols
-Hellfire III shotgun
-Stiletto style switchblade

BIOGRAPHY:
Although she wasn't homeless, Zhanna spent most of her time growing up on the lower levels of Taris. Her mother struggled to keep a part time job while raising Zhanna's two baby brothers, so she was kind kind of ignored and left to her own devices for the most part. The environment that she lived in was quite hostile to say the least, as the lower levels were in vast majority dominated by alien species who had plenty of grudges against humans. The feelings were mutual, of course, so the cycle of hate just continued endlessly. Violence was practically a banality, so seeking out ways to protect ones self was of the utmost importance.

Zhanna was able to find protection through strength in numbers, joining up with an all human gang that controlled the turf in which her family happened to reside. Growing up fast was a necessity rather than a choice, as rival gangs were merciless and death was potentially lurking around every corner. She learned how to fight and defend herself through trial and error mostly, being one of the lucky ones who actually managed to make it to adulthood alive. In order to sustain herself and her family, Zhanna sold drugs which were supplied by her superiors, although her cut wasn't really enough to amass any meaningful amount of savings.

Tired of struggling just to survive without any end in sight, Zhanna began to seek out other alternatives and eventually created ties with a far more organized criminal organization. Unlike the delinquents that had become her second family over the years, the Pravdin family ran several successful businesses in addition to moving more drugs in one week then Zhanna's gang did over an entire year. From the outside looking in, it seemed like they had it all: expensive clothes, luxury landspeeders, quality equipment and so much more. Normally, any attempts to leave a gang would have been punishable by death, but there were exceptions to be made when somebody was moving up into the higher tiers. Basically, Zhanna's former associates knew that they would be squashed like bugs if they messed with the Pravdins or any of their employees, so she was free to do as she pleased.

After having been accepted as a soldier within the ranks of the Pravdin empire, Zhanna began taking on all sorts of odd jobs. She would be doing anything from overseeing the operations of a brothel to performing hits on the Family's enemies depending on the day. Since she proved to be both efficient and versatile, Zhanna was regarded quite highly by her superiors and began making far more credits than she'd ever had before. She was even able to move her mom and brothers to the upper levels of the planet after a couple of years thanks to a few obscenely massive bribes.

In general, things were looking up for her. Money was no longer a problem, even though there was never quite too much of it, and Zhanna already held a very prestigious position within the Family at a very young age. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst while she was on a simple escort assignment, driving one of the Family's highly ranked lieutenants to a meeting. Someone who'd had access to the landspeeder that they were using must have betrayed them and jumped ships, because it had been secretly rigged with explosives that were detonated once Zhanna and her charge got inside.

The explosion partially malfunctioned, going off with only a fraction of it's potential output which would have been more than enough to disintegrate the speeder and anyone within. The passenger side of the vehicle was blown clear off - passenger included - but Zhanna was only partially hit on the driver's side. Still, she wasn't completely untouched, as part of the main blast caught the right side of her face, burning her badly and also sending a piece of debris flying into her eye at very high velocity.

Since she was a valuable asset the the Pravdins, they payed for Zhanna's reconstructive surgeries and new eye, but they couldn't afford the top of the line procedures which would actually remove her scars completely and make her look like she used to. At least, that's what they claimed. She came out of the whole ordeal as a much darker version of herself, filled with anger and frustration which she didn't hesitate to let loose upon her enemies from that point on.

Her goal of sustaining her family and amassing enough money for her brothers to be able to attend the top schools on Coruscant hadn't changed, but she no longer visited them or stayed in contact. The whole point of what Zhanna had been doing was to keep them away from the type of lifestyle that she'd been forced into, so she couldn't bear to let them see what she'd become. It motivated Zhanna to get the surgeries that she needed, but the cost was in the hundreds of thousands, so she had no idea how she was going to be able to afford them. It would have been easy if not for the fact that the only surgeons skilled enough to properly erase her scars were employed in extremely high-end establishments. The security there was far too heavy for her to even think about getting what she needed through threats or violence, so she would need to find another solution.
