"Well," Chester muttered with a sly smile, "I've learned that push-ups before running seem to give me a massive cramp in my side," he chuckled, stretching in a futile attempt to lighten the pain.

"On a more serious note, I've been thinking that physical training is a fancy metaphor for Jedi training. It hurts a lot, and it requires a lot of work, but you've got to see it through the end anyway. And it's rewarding in the end."

"Good that you took something out of it. I was just improvising training." Vizza smiled. "You were the first padawan I have ever sent on running aroun the temple, or even giving twenty push-ups..." Vizza got up. Facing Chester, he motioned with his hand so Chester would follow him "Come, we're changing location." In less then five minutes, they arrived at the gare. Picking a speeder, he motioned to Chester to take the driver's spot. "Well go to a nearby temple...get in."

Chester groaned when he realized his Master had been improvising, displeased, but still slightly amused. Chasing his Master, he met him by the speeder. "I'm driving? I trust you'll tell me the way," he said quickly, hopping into the driver's seat.

Vizza confortably sat at the passanger's spot. "The way? It's easy, really: follow this road, then in about two miles from here there's a dirt road. Follow that road until we hit the wilderness, from that point on, we go on foot."

"Got it," he muttered to himself, acknowledging his Master's directions. Stepping on the gas, he watched the engine roar, coming to life as he grabbed the wheel and drove forward.

Heading down the road, he muttered to himself, occasionally whistling while they drove. Finally reaching the dirt road, he converged into it and headed toward the vast wilderness before them.

As the speeder continued, Chester turned toward his Master. "Master Vizza, how long have you been a Jedi?"

"In years, it would have been scarcly...6 years, I think. In what some would say, I've been a Jedi for all my existance...stop the speeder." Vizza spoke as they reached the wilderness, and from the spot could yards away from them on, it would be too difficult to proceed on speeder, even for Vizza. Roaming on foot, Vizza proceeded on hi speech. "I don't think the years as Jedi count...there are Jedis that are here far more time then me, and are not as 'good' as me...in the same way, there are many new ones that could easily outrun me. Why you ask, if I may know?"

((OOC: Heh, Jedis. Awesome =D))

After stopping the speeder, Chester followed his Master intently, listening to his words silently. "Oh, just curious," Chester finally said. "I don't know all that much about you, despite the fact that you're my master; I wondered if you if you had any interesting stories or words of wisdom from your days as a Jedi."

After brushing some foliage out of the way, Chester leapt over a small pile of rocks as he kept up with Vizza.

The trees started to thick and grow closer as they roamed deeper into the forest. "You'll find my life quite boring young one." Vizza half-lied; he had had a few interesting runs, but nothing far out amusing. "Oh, I had this one padawan that was very fond of Nature. The one with Force-less nosebleeds. She was quite unique...anyhow, we're here!" Vizza pointed out a small, dirty, long-abandoned looking temple. "Cosy..."(sp?) Vizza walked throught the leafed up doors, and the inside revealed itself better, in a way. The weakly lit red bricked walls formed a square corridor, big enough to fit for of them.

Walking down the said corridor, they reached a wall in the middle of the way... "You're still not too confident on you TK, are you?"

Taking a quick look around, he admired the ancient dark red stonework - still strong and relatively sturdy from all these years. "Yes Master. I'm unsure if my telekinesis is up to par with most Jedi standards. Why do you ask?" he asked, moving his hand along the bricks.

Vizza glanced from Chester to the wall. "Well, this was supposed to be your first test. Beyond this wall, the corridor proceeds. Because of the way the bricks are positioned, only telekinesis can move the wall, and I used this as a test, to see if my padawans can already move the wall. So...."

Knocking on the wall once, the wall opened up like a show was about to begin. Flying wide open, the bricks became a second layer of the side walls, allowed the jedis to pass right through. Waving his hand after both of them passed, They proceeded down the temple eventually finding another of those walls, which moved aside to Vizza's will.

At last, they arrived at a high ceiling chamber, with a weak lighting, out of blue torches. There were several pillars dispersed through the chamber, most broken half way through. Using one of these, Vizza jumped to a high spot on top of these pillars, using the Force to imbue his jump. "Think you can join me up in here?"

"Hmm. By using the Force?" Chester asked rhetorically. Glancing around the room quickly to gather a sense of his surroudnings, Chester closed his eyes, and allowed the Force to imbue him with a subtle burst of energy. Imaging himself as the object in question, he attempted to apply a sort of telekinetic "push" to himself to make him fly through the air.

Needless to say, the attempts were difficult, and he couldn't actually move himself on the first few tries, but eventually, he changed his tactic. Engulfing himself in Force energy, he leapt upwards, using the Force as a guide and as a propulsion, and flew toward Vizza's position on the pillar. Barely landing on the pillar, he struggled to maintain his footing at first; though he eventually secured his stance and stood near his master.

As Chester met up with him in the pillar, at cost. "Nicely done, I thought it would take more of you. But it seems you managed alright..." This was a wide radius pillar, large enough for them to brawl comfortably without fearing a deathly fall. Though he he wouldn't do it... instead, he turned his back on Chester, and ignited it. Taking two steps towards the edge of the pillar, and turned it on. Swinging it around elegantly, the green light shining on Vizza, and casting shadow towards Chester. Vizza starred at it, before turning it off.

He then turned towards Chester, and using his telekinesis, he made his saber swirl in the air. "Tell me, Chester. You think of lightsabers as weapons...right?" Vizza wasn't looking at Chester, instead he kept his eyes on his pontite lightsaber as it stopped swirling, and fell to his hand, as the last closed around the hilt.

Chester had stared in awe at the lightsaber for a moment before focusing on his master's question.

"Yes Master. A lightsaber is a Jedi's weapon. It should be used for defense of oneself and others," he paused for a moment, making sure his footing was secure. "Why do you ask?"

"Image that you found the Alsakan that killed your brother. He mocks you, ignorant to you condition as a skilled lightsaber wielder. As soon as you aproach, he shoots his blaster at you, but you easily divert the shot to his knee, rending him unable to escape. He's at your mercy...what do you do?" In a way to test his padawan, he goes as far as making his own saber hover up to Chester's hand reach, waiting for him to pick it up.

Chester paused for a moment, caught up in the imagery that flashed through his mind. He imagined the man, humiliated and weakened, before him. A devious smile spread across Chester's face, but at the same time, there was a subtle, dark rage in his eyes. Reaching out, Chester grabbed the lightsaber that was suspended before him. Igniting it, he watched the green blade fly from its origin with a blast of brilliant energy as the blade assumed its whole shape.

The handle felt awkward, uncomfortable. He knew it wasn't his lightsaber, but it could still be used. Chester swung it very carefully, making sure he didn't accidentally sever any of his body parts.

He knew he couldn't lie to Vizza; the Jedi could sense deceit, he knew that much. However, he couldn't just outright revel in his hate and desire for revenge, such wasn't the Jedi way. Sighing, he thought for a moment. Deactivating the lightsaber, he swung it around, so the handle faced Vizza.

"If it came to that," he began, "Then I would probably yell at him, curse him for what he did. But..." he struggled to utter the next words, "I couldn't kill him. I wouldn't be able to. Not as a Jedi. No one deserves death, and I certainly can't be the harbinger of death - it's not my place to decided who lives and who dies. I would make sure he was completely harmless before contacting local Republic authorities to pick him up and imprison him."

Extending his arm, he held Vizza's lightsaber in arm's reach of the Zabrak Jedi Knight. "Your lightsaber is nice, but its grip is awkward to me. I wouldn't be able to use it, he said, a small grin forming on his face. As he finished, the dark feelings slowly passed away and his complexion returned to normal.

Vizza looked at Chester's reaction... he was tasting a slight tender piece of Dark Side... but soon, it seemed to realize it, and pulled that feeling down immediatly. Impressive, in Vizza's opinion. "Very good, indeed. Though, I would advise punching his head at least once before the Republic officers arrive, just for the heck of it", said Vizza with a smile, winking at Chester playfully. Chester then commented upon his lightsaber's awckwardness. "Of course, I built it to fit the palm of my hand, for 115% comfort while wielding it. I doubt more then few in the galaxy would feel good wielding it. That's why you need your own before we proceed. Follow me, Chester."

Jumping off the pillar, Vizza used the Force to help his legs absorb the free fall's shock. He remained there awhile as Chester fell, using his telekinesis to aid him in his first try to fall of a large distance. They went towards a room, right next to the chamber, but in the opposite direction of the corridor towards Ossus.

In the room, the illumination was the same as the corridors, and the walls were the same too; red bricks, with faint yellow lighting. But it had something more... workbenches, and on them, lot's of different materials to lightsaber building process. Tubes, of different metals, crystals, of different colors and constitutions, lens, circuits, etc, etc... All that a Jedi could want, in order to build a fully customized saber. "Take as much as you want..."

[OOC: Put up a big ass post, with the short version of how you'd build the saber... though officially would take two months or so, 5 to 6 hours should be enough.]

Chester stood in silent awe as he and Vizza entered the lightsaber construction chambers. While his master briefly explained the process, Chester marveled at the mind-blowing amounts of wicker bins, footlockers, and iron canisters that lined along the walls. Each was filled filled with a good deal of lightsaber-based equipment and small modifiers that could be used to personalize a lightsaber handle.

The background of the room was similar to the other rooms of the ancient ruins, and the lighting had not improved. Despite the room's similarities to its predecessors, Chester knew right away that this room was special. Different somehow, perhaps. He continued to gaze silently at the room's contents as he thought of the fact that many Jedi - possibly his own master - had ventured to this very room to create their own lightsaber. A great tradition passed on from master to apprentice for thousands of years, and now Chester was prepared to take part in it as well.

Nodding at his master, he approached one of the rather dull-colored work benches and immediately began to construct his lightsaber. Immersing himself in his work as well as the Force, the temporal effects of this dimension slowed as Chester began to accelerate the speed of his work.

Pulling up a sturdy chair resting on one of the walls, he used the tools laid out before him - as well as the Force - to slowly piece together his lightsaber hilt. Assembling the durasteel rods and connecting them to the lightsaber's power cell, he proceeded to attach the rest of the minute and more delicate objects to the hilt's interior. Attaching the blade's strength-altering mechanism and power switch were much more difficult, but still manageable. Finally completing his lightsaber, he took a long, confident stare at his new weapon. However, the feeling quickly passed as he realized the simplicity and novice-based appearance of the weapon. Not only did it appear relatively normal to Chester, but the weapon itself lacked any ornament markings or intricate designs. Quickly tearing the weapon apart, he redid the entire lightsaber from scratch, carefully and monotonously reassembling the weapon's parts.

------------------------------------------------

Reaching into a nearby wicker bin, he revealed a diatum power cell and carefully inserted it into the weapon with aid from the Force. If the crystal was the lifeblood of the blade, then the power cell was the heart. Making sure it appeared safe and in working condition before placing it inside, he smiled as it fit perfectly in place. Grabbing the pommel cap, he sealed the weapon's base and covered nearly all of the hilt's inner-workings, protecting them from the elements and general damage.

Placing the Ossus-based focusing lens inside the lightsaber near the top, he insured its place with a quick shove and a twist of the handle. Near the bottom of the blade, he had used some extra metallic leftovers to create a hilt-based handguard, similar to the ones used by Kluistarian duelists. These duelists used slim yet powerful rapiers, which had handguards to defend the hand and hilt of its respective duelist. Chester knew there were some lightsaber-resistant metals in the galaxy - there simply had to be; nothing is invincible - so one day he would reinforce the handguard to prevent the hilt itself from being severed by lightsaber strikes. But for now, this basic design would have to do.

Completing the necessities of the hilt, Chester sat silently, admiring his weapon for a very long time - indeed, the passage of time seemed to slow immensely while he worked. Once he finally finished his admiration of his new weapon, he calmly opened up a small satchel in the corner. This satchel was filled with lightsaber crystals; lightsaber crystals of all shape, color, and design. This final piece was the inherent crystal that gave the blade its energy, color, and completeness. Without it, all the trappings and detailed handiwork inside the handle would be useless. Closing his eyes, he allowed himself to be enveloped in the Force. Forgetting all things but himself and his lightsaber, he allowed time to take its own course while he meditated on the weapon that would soon be his, and the lightsaber crystal that would represent his place within the Jedi Order. After a great deal of meditation, he opened his eyes and his lightsaber was complete. Though subconscious, he had managed to place the main crystal inside the lightsaber and seal it inside without damaging the interior of the weapon.

------------------------------------------------

Grasping the weapon, he knew it was secure in his hand, a perfect fit and shape for him. Holding it tightly, he swung it around several times, hesitating to ignite it at first. Finally, however, he ignited it, revealing the azure blade that dwelt inside. Grinning, he calmly deactivated the weapon and placed the lightsaber back on the workbench and began to clean up the mess of equipment he had used during the long process, still completely oblivious to the passage of time.

Vizza arrived just in time; his padawan was just igniting his blue saber, swinging it around. Vizza clapped his hands. "Very well, very well. Nicely done, Chester." Vizza took two steps closer to Chester, streching his body since the five hours he had slept made him lazy. Igniting his saber as Chester was with his back to him, Vizza regulated the intensity of the blade and swung it at his back. Even if it hit, it wouldn't do much then make his cloths hot and give him a eletrifying sensation on the bare skinned areas the saber went through, but no burns though.

Chester was caught up with his cleaning as his master strolled in. Glancing back, he quickly affirmed his presence before turning back to his work. "Hello master," he said quickly but reverently.

Hearing the ignition of Vizza's lightsaber, he turned his head slightly to watch Vizza's green blade spring to life. As the blade came down toward Chester's back, the young Padawan kicked the chair stationed near him, sending the wooden chair flying toward his master's midsection using the Force. This process was significantly easier because the object was already in the air.

Reaching for his lightsaber, he knew immediately that his master's strike would make contact. Chester hoped the chair would either slow him down and divert the course of his weapon, then Chester would take minimal damage and he could follow up with a quick attack of his own.

Vizza saw the chair comming, but his student's telekinetic abilities were still green, while his were a raw example of telekinetic ability. Even so, he let the chair hit his chest, slown down by his telekinesis, and missing the saber's target. He picked the chair up again, with his mind, and threw it to Chester again.
