Lol, yea I was gonna bring up the clip capacity deal. Besides, if you don't fire in short bursts (about 5 rounds per) the gun will overheat and the barrel will melt. Thats why they have mounted machine guns, they can be fired continuously without fear of melting to to the barrel thickness and cooling vents (which also makes it to heavy to carry)
So, if you were to fire nonstop, then you're weapon would become useless ten minutes into the duel.
Also, because of this little conversation, I have a ? ols, with people monitoring the godmodding, will they also be monitoring if something is realistic or not? Pretty much like the gun example, if he fired continuously without the gun overheating? Thats kinda a good example, but you know what I mean.

I shall be monitoring the duels fairly passively. If something leaps out at me, I'll highlight it. If you see something yourself, tell me and I'll investigation. The only wrong question is a question not asked remember.

Ols, you need to go back and rewrite what you just typed, lol. It had horrible grammar and I don't know what it says, lol.

Actually it had one typo, it's meant to say "hit more" rather than "his more". Tbh if you're being pedantic, it should be "rifle" rather than "gun" too...
Cant is where an automatic rifle starts aiming upwards and to the left if you fire continuously. This happens before the barrel even gets nearly to melting tempereture and would take somebody with muscles the size of the Incredible Hulk's to prevent. So no-one can fire continously more than 3 round bursts accurately.
I have a machine gun though. That is my guy's weapon of choice. It would be an assault rifle if it only had thirty rounds in a clip. At least fifty rounds.... Please.
Also, It cannot overheat from firing ten rounds as it is not a blaster, it fires metal slugs, like a regular gun.

Assault rifles fire metal bullets, and they can overheat easily, so the fact that yours isn't a blaster is irrelevant.

No, it was total strategy, make it when the champ can't play in it...
Although, I think that as champion you should get an automatic entry, but that is just me.
If your character has a machine gun, he will MISS every shot he fires from it. I have used a GPMG (medium sized machine gun), with blanks, firing from a fixed position and that's hard enough. One guy, who's a lot bigger than me, attempted to fire from a standing position (blanks still) and we saw how much it forced directional changes. Now change those to live rounds and it's even more inaccurate. So, unless you are the Incredible Hulk, I would say no you may not carry an MG around with you. (tbh if you were the Hulk you wouldn't be able to fit your fingers in the trigger guard). You can have an assault rifle or an SMG, though.
As for overheating, when I was stripping down said GPMG I burnt my finger on the bolt assembly. That was after firing about 25 rounds in bursts of 3 or 2. But yeah, you fire 10 continuous rounds from ANY automatic weapon and not only will it become ridiculously hot (I'd say after 20 sontinous the barrel would begin to melt, then it would explode in your face), and the cant would make you miss anyway. More than 2 or 3 round bursts is puching it if you expect to still be accurate.
Basically, I intended to be a little vague with some of the descriptions, in a way, because it's kind of artistic liscense for you to describe in your own words.
But if you're unclear on what I mean just by the place as a whole - think Jedi temple but very small scale (something similar to the Kotor dantooine enclave, in size at least, if you want roofs/ceilings rather than it open air, that's up to you)
You posted in other threads whilst it was open. There were still places on here for over 24 hours (it was posted 7pm BST on Thursday. Drun signed up at about 10pm BST last night).

I think the winner should have to fight Boli. He's still regarded as the winner of the Grand Tournament '08, but this involves the winner of last time. Sort of like a title match in wrestling, sorta thing...
If he wins, make him supreme over-champion. If Boli wins, then the winner is still the winner of GT08, but Boli gets to feel smug because, well, he won.
Edit: Also, because I haven't seen it said anywhere, I'm assuming the fight threads go in the grand tournament board? Just making sure they are, because I'd feel very silly indeed if I got it wrong...

That's really up to Boli, but I don't see any reason for him to get a bye to the final because he won the last won. If he wants to duel the champion, he can, but it's not going to be in this competition. It can be external, but considering this is a new version of the grand tournament, I see no reason why the reigning champion should automatically be in the final and this lot are only competing to fight against him.
He had the chance to sign up and he didn't, then claimed the thread wasn't open whilst he was awake (which it was).
Although, this has given me the idea for, once this is over (and perhaps the one after this) and if it goes well, a kind of "Champions Grand Tournament", where say those who come 1st and second qualify for it - kind of like the Champions League in football. And of course, those who ahve already come first or second in previous tournaments would qualify too.
EDIT: Yes they do, but I still think the person drawn first should begin the thread. I will add the location of the duels (ie in this board) to the rules.

Oh okay, well if Boli wants to fight them, that's up to him. He can post it in here as a "GT Champions Match" if he wants too, it doesn't really matter so much to me.
And as certain people want to get this going I think I shall edit that rule to say either of you may begin it, but there will be no time restriction on your first post (as Mulluns may not be on for a while, it is up to him when he commences the duel, but once it's commenced, the time restrictions are in place).
