the cross hairs have a very familiar feel to them don't they :P

and their stupid codes have been a pain in the ass yet like a tool I've been trying to piece them together anyway.

I'm soooooo ready for this game.

If they added some sort of multiplayer or other content that would increase replay value even more... some sort of combat co-op missions... it would basically =mass roxorz.

Im torn.. while yeah I hope it's ME3..... big part of me hops its a spin off set in the first contact war or some such, then you could open up the multiplayer and what not... I personally dont want to see multiplayer at all with the Shep Trilogy ( as opening multiplayer will require a cutback in story depth and resources...but in a Game set in ME universe designed for such its fine..)

This is the exact same reason as to why Metroid didn't have multiplayer: It detroys the sense of lonliness, the sense that you're the only person in the universe. I agree with Adena, if it was it's own game based solely on multiplayer that would be fun, but in the last installment of the trilogy it would just take away from the experience.

I'd almost wager that they will announce 2 ME games to be honest.. ME3 " though it does feel a little early so it would be a major far out teaser to get people more geared to the home stretch of DLC for ME2 that started with LOTSB"

And first contact which will be their multiplayer branch

but I once again say " DAMN YOU BIOWARE AND YOUR DAME SECRET MESSAGES LAST FEW WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no multiplayer

I agree with Hunter, I do not want them compromising the quality of the campaign so they can make room for multiplayer features. It is an RPG, it doesn't need or warrant it.

Then it will go the route of Halo, with shite spin-offs, imo.

It could.. but thats not here, nor there at the moment... Bioware as a whole may not " want" it that way, but the way EA has been talking last few weeks is making me on edge about how EA wants to milk the ME cash cow, even more so that ME2 has pretty much been sweeping countless different game award groups and forced new ports...

But Im not saying I support it. I'm a biowhore because they DON'T go the way of halo, or gears, or SC and crap... I personally hate multiplayer to be honest, it bores the crap out of me. I am a " story-characters first" the other aspects just sorta fall to the side. The more true they stay to BG,Kotor, Jade and on the happier I am, THOSE are the games I love, and actually buy and replay... 99% of whats out now I rent on gamefly, play through once " or not even sometimes" and send it back, and never waste my money on a game I know I'll never replay because there is nothing to relive, and experience story wise...and the only " extended play" is multiplayer death matches.

To me that just goes against what Bioware is personally. so if EA wants to whore it out, then there is not much I can do about it other than pass up the games aimed at the MP-TPS crowed.

also this is floating around...make of it what you will:
me3-ea-store-580.jpg

[Update 3:56pm ET: Well, that was fast. Unsurprisingly, EA assassins have leapt into action, lobbing a throwing star into the unlucky server that housed the just-there-a-second-ago Mass Effect 3 listing. We've got our screen grabs after the break if you want to relive the memories.]

The EA Store has added a pre-order listing for Mass Effect 3 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The listing includes a description that notes the "Earth is burning" and Commander Shepard (that's you!) has to gather the races of the galaxy to launch "one final mission" against machines striking from beyond known space.

No release window is provided on the site. Well, we guess that confirms the rumors we've been hearing about. The game is expected to be officially announced tomorrow during the 2010 VGAs on Spike. Just in case the page gets pulled, we've saved a full screengrab after the break, along with the game's description, just below. Also of note, the search screen which lists Mass Effect 3 releases for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 platforms. This, of course, is likely placeholder data (evidenced by the PC release's unlikely $59.95 price tag) and there's no release dates, placeholder or otherwise, so it's anybody's guess as to whether all three versions will be released simultaneously.

The screenshots we've seen could be of a ruined earth, they look a lot like that to me anyway.

As for multiplayer, I agree with what's been said. Absolutely no multiplayer necessary for ME3 but I would enjoy it as a separate project. With a completely different set of characters, maybe playing out something akin to the First Contact War.

given EA's epic fail in the spoiler I put, it goes flawlessly with the " product description"

part of me is still wondering " if the leak intentional?,,,,what if THAT was intentional and is the red herring the codes warned us about!?!?!?!?!?!"

I don't know what all of the games you mentioned were Adena. SC? Starcraft?

Also, I really love stories, and interestinng characters will get me through the game, really enjoying the experience, but I always want to be able to share how BA my Shepard is with my friends. Some sort of co-op mode, if done correctly could be pretty cool. Especially if you could play as a different spectre (Say shepard dies in your ME2 playthrough). I've always wanted to play a Turian.

That aside, a seperate project with multi-player would be a great move too, but I don't see why a person needs to be either single or multi player. I love both.

Irish is back!

But there's something that isn't adding up. I was lead to believe that Reapers just go all lazer pew pew and wipe shit out -- how is it that Earth is hit, yet they haven't hit the Citadel? (they aren't too far apart)
