But there's something that isn't adding up. I was lead to believe that Reapers just go all lazer pew pew and wipe shit out -- how is it that Earth is hit, yet they haven't hit the Citadel? (they aren't too far apart)

I meant, to me at least, the way the Reapers were portrayed in ME 1 made them out to be these guys who zerg rush the galaxy

Also, I really love stories, and interestinng characters will get me through the game, really enjoying the experience, but I always want to be able to share how BA my Shepard is with my friends. Some sort of co-op mode, if done correctly could be pretty cool. Especially if you could play as a different spectre (Say shepard dies in your ME2 playthrough). I've always wanted to play a Turian.

That aside, a seperate project with multi-player would be a great move too, but I don't see why a person needs to be either single or multi player. I love both.

What MP will do with ME3 is force the sp story and gameplay ( which the way ME story and interaction is set up currently is only doable as a SP ) to be hacked and cut down to next to nothing. Each disk holds more or less 7gb of data, ME2 was 14 something, and each disk has to save a certain amount of room for security, and promotional data. This means that the initial story, to be AS ME is ( and bioware has always done) would have to be utterly redone in a way similar to fable, or would have to be cut down to next to nothing to make room for the mp functions. ME3 as it is is going to be massive in it's size simply because there are still factors and multi options from ME1, AND ME2 that still need calculated and added in, as well as DLC related choices like Overloard, LotSB, and a few other " bridging" DLC Bioware stated " LotSB is the first of the bridging DLC "

now there is the concept of " put mp play on a third disk!" well, yeah that can work. But the problem THERE is the cost aspect to do so, and it's something most companies don't like doing on a large scale ( a special CE or something that's released in a limited stock is doable, doing it for every package gets very expensive)


If Shep died in ME2...that's it, the save can not, and will not be portable to ME3


I hope Kai Leng is in ME3 so I can put a shredder round in his face for what he did to Liselle T'Lok...screw Grayson, he did what he had to yadda yadda....Liselle needs's retribution ( hah, see what I did there).


So in the end it's largely held that while MP in the ME universe would be great, It's best suited for the inevitable spin offs ( as Casy Hudson said...the trilogy is Shepard's story..just look at the books, the Cerberus news network and comics and you can see the possibilities are near endless as to what can happen next ) Cramming it into ME3 would lessen what goes INTO ME3 .

Agreed with Adena, on everything especialy Kai Leng. Multiplayer needs to stay away from Shepard's story, though spin offs that could have multiplayer or better, Co-op would be great though.

ME is a ****ing large scale free-roam RPG. Multiplayer implementation would be idiotic.

Watching the VGA pre-show...I admit seeing Jennifer Hale, and Ali Hillis (femshep and liara) all dolled up, arm in arm and hearing Ali slip into her sultry Liara voice and say something about her shep made my uber fangirl cackles go into overdrive.

It's been predicted thats exactly what it was from day one, given the M-29 Incisor...then the image of the rubble, but once he dropped that husk I think my brain melted as it all became too real...

though the reapers attacking autistic style made me giggle

Though this answers what Bioware has been talking about for years " how would we put in earth without people getting butt hurt we dont have their city, or country as the focus etc etc


answer: blast it all to crap so it does not matter
