Lylieth awoke, and her ship, rose, Kaul and herself were on the forest planet Kashyyk, in the city of Hoorrkhukk. Lylieth had always hated sleeping in space, and took some time to take her armor off, finally safe in an ally planet. She kept her particle rifle on her, however, for one must always make sure they are safe. After preparing herself for the resupply, she woke kaul up "Hey, you'll want to put this on that shoulder wound." she handed Kaul a small vial of bacta and some bandages, then went on "I need to get some power cells, fuel for the ship, white paint, ammunition, and maybe even a new gun. You need a ship, ammunition, and some clothes that aren't torn from a blaster bolt. Also, if I may recommend, some heavy armor, because I've decided what you can do for me. I think you'll like it. And, uh, don't try to run off without paying me back for helping you out of that, I don't need to tell you I'll find you." Lylieth liked Kaul, but she knew she couldn't trust him. She wished she could, but she decided not to tell him that, that favor would be something he probably wouldn't actually like. Lylieth wanted revenge for her kind, and justice for the Hutts. "So, in order, we go to a weapons shop, tailor, general store, armor shop then back to the shipyard. Sound good?" Lylieth de-activated Rose remotely, and lowered the ramp of her ship. Looking outside, there were quite a few high-quality ships for sale. Fortunate, the unfortunate part was that this was a tree city, so they were in for a loot of stair climbing.

Kaul took the bacta thankfully, sticking the cylindrical tube into the wound with a satisfying swish sound. It hurt but not as much as the pain coming from the shoulder wound had. "What's wrong with my clothes?" Kaul found a mirror in the ship lavatory and examined himself, "Ammo, maybe. But I'm fine for clothes, I don't do heavy armour and unless your willing to give me several thousand credits I don't have the cash to get that ship." He stood up and motioned to the nearby surroundings, "Frankly, I'm surprised they sell fuel that isn't made of tree bark."

Before continuing his brief rant, Kaul paused and narrowed his eyes, "What exactly do you have in mind that I'll be doing for you?"

Lylieth nudged Kaul's arm, her voice a whisper "Easy on that tree bark comment, it's not wise to make a Wookie angry." She continued soon after "Alright then, but are you certain you won't want a better blaster?" As they gathered the power cells, paid a Wookie to re-fuel the ship, and got some paint, she decided to tell Kaul about her favor, after all, he wasn't going anywhere soon "Now, for my favor, remember how I said you'd like it? You might not. I want something pure and simple. Revenge, revenge and justice for me, my people, and for you. So once we get re-supplied, we go back to Nal Hutta, kill at least a lot of guards, find the slug you stole from and waste him, or, if you prefer, we could also just force him to beg for his life, then beat him to an inch of his life, that's up to you. You on board, or are you gonna let that sleemo get away with enslavement, murder, and everything else he's done?"

Kaul's mouth dropped open in disbelief, "Wait...so what your saying to me is after half a decade of me being stuck on Nar Shadda and then almost killed on Nal Hutta while being shot at by a horde of gangsters you want to go back and just, what? Kill them all? You think it's so easy? We're talking about Slogda the Hutt here and he doesn't just have his own crew but my old crew the Tower Gangers are most likely there as well! Slogda's palace will be a fortress and I can't see, without a massive amount of firepower and more men, we will be able to simply assault his palace." Even as he spoke it did occur to Kaul that, most likely, Iven Kalo, the leader of the Tower Gangers, would be at the palace. He could wipe out every enemy in one swoop...but how? It is possible he Kaul could call in some old favors and get a few more guns but enough to assault the seat of one of the Hutt cartels?

"Besides what do you have against Slogda the Hutt?"

Lylieth could hardly hold back from hitting Kaul for his ignorance "You saw plenty of reasons at the cantina alone, they degrade and dishonor my people, they enslave us, force us to do unspeakable things... And I don't like organized crime for the sake of only one persons gain. The Hutt way is evil, Kaul. Someone has to put a stop to it." Lylieth took a few deep breaths before speaking again "So... Yeah, I expect you to go back there, and I Expect us to take some of their power away from them, and show them that the Hutts are not immortal, nor are they some kind of god..."

Kaul sighed, "On Nal Hutta they are," he muttered under his breath. He stood up and rubbed his eyes but for a moment and then spoke, "Look, we can do it but we'll need more men. I know a few...guys, not the most reputable sort but they are in a tough spot with the Hutts and the Tower Gangers. If you got a communicator on this ship I can contact them on the way and have them meet us in Nal Hutta. The most important thing we'll need is some kind of...plan I guess. I have seen the palace from the outside but I've never been in it and we'll need to land outside of a port because at this point this ship is known. If we can do all that, with a lot of luck there's...maybe a...20% chance we'll live."

Kaul paused and then double took the ship, "Your ship will need to be our support. Your willing to risk your ship for this?"

Lylieth thought for a moment. "... Yeah, I can probably re-build another one, supposing we live. I got a communicator on board, so you can call your people. If we take this place down, I'll buy you the best drink Mandalore can offer-with some of the stolen loot we get from the palace, of course. You'll have to cover me, since I'm sure they have locked doors I'll need to slice into." Lylieth thought for a moment about what else they could do "We also need to go to a cantina, plenty of drunk nobodies there that would be desperate enough to join us. I'd say no offense, but we both ended up in that bar, so it's on both of us. Any other ideas that could even our odds?" Lylieth may as well have been a computer, calculating every risk and chance she could think of, using her data pad to take down notes of anything she could think of in the way of help. "I could also carry about six or so men in my ship, so they could get in close and take out commuications towers that'l likely be somewhere around the top of the building."

"The cantina is a good idea, always some scum that will join us there for the promise of a potential score. Let's get off this planet and get out team together. Once we have the men we can regroup at the cantina and come up with a coherent plan of attack." Kaul rubbed the back of his head, "You'll probably want to get your affairs in order too."

"I'm ready, lets head out." Lylieth rushed in, preparing the ship for takeoff "If only we had a Spine dropship, that'd be perfect" She thought as they launched off to Nal Hutta.

Herrith wiped blood from her mouth and spit a good piece of human ear onto the ground. She kicked the human slaver that had spoken too much out of the cantina doorway into a crowd and grabbed his collar.

"Alright, you keetar freg, you're going to pay for every injury you've commited to your so called slaves."

The man smiled and spit in her face. She hardly flinched. Then she grabbed the back of his head and rammed it right into a metal pipe. When he laughed in response, she banged his head on the pipe two more times before shoving him to the ground.

One crime was cutting out the tongue of one of his slaves.

His mistake. Her vibroshiv appeared in her hand, humming. She forced him onto his back and did the same thing he had done to his slave. When she was finished, he was curled in a ball, holding a bloody mouth.

She kicked him one last time and put a hand over a recent cut from a broken bottle.

Then Herrith noticed the slaves, unaware of what to do. She turned and looted the man, taking a device from his belt and deactivating their collars.

"Go free. Find a shuttle and get off world. Somewhere like Ankhural."

She tossed credits towards them, walking back into the bar and ordering another drink.

The crowd faded and all returned to normal.

As Lylieth and Kaul rode in the Aggressor, she looked out near the cantina, witnessing most of the fight. She saw her cut out the slavers tongue, loot him, and give credits to his now ex-slaves.

"We need her" Lylieth pointed out a beautiful pink alien, the likes of which she had never seen before. She had strength, morals of some kind, and cared about slaves. She was perfect for this "You know her?" Lylieth had Rose take over and put on her now white armor, gathering both of her rifles, and her remaining 4 EMP grenades. "How many of your people will fight for us?" Lylieth asked, moderately concerned.

"I can't say I do." Kaul was still having issues believing he was back on Nal Hutta and sit with his head in his hands occasionally muttering some obscenities about Mandalorians. After muttering one more under his breath he spoke up, "We have four men who will be joining us. They were supposed to meet us at that," Kaul pointed to the Cantina the Aggressor had just passed, "Cantina so I'm hoping that nice lady back there that your so enamored with didn't just kill one of them."

Kaul then pointed outward into the swamps of Nal Hutta,
"Take this thing into the swamps and we will walk back to the town, have your droid on standby so that we can get everything timed right. One of the guys who will be helping us used to work for Slogda the Hutt so he can help us plan." Kaul then sat back in his seat and looked out the window. All he had to do was survive one more time and he could put all this behind him. Just once more.

Herrith shoved open the double doors to the cantina, Western-style. She took ten steps inside, silent.

The whole room was watching her. Then she sat down and spoke.
"Anyone else?! One flask of Corellian whiskey, please."

The cantina went out of its brief pause in time. She put credits on the counter.
"Sorry 'bout the bloody mess. This make it up?"

The Twi'lek at the counter said nothing, only nodded. The man she just scarred for life was probably her owner. At least the noodlebrain was free now.

Herrith took a sip from the flask and exhaled.

Ah..a day couldn't get any better..

Lylieth did as Kaul suggested "Couldn't have said it better myself, although killing a slaver merits more trust from me than from any of your men, no offense." She then pushed a few buttons, linked her comm-link in her helmet to the data pad, allowing her to verbally command the droid, this way it would be hands-free communication. As the ship landed and the ramp rolled out, Lylieth, prepared as she could be, decided to ask Kaul once more "You ready for this? I still give us better odds at surviving than 20%, but since either I'm far too confident or you know far more than I do about the Hutt guards, both of which are likely true, I have two more vials of bacta, you should take one, I need the other in case we get hurt on the ship, but you in no armor scares me."

Kaul took the bacta, "Armour slows me down. I have to be able to move." He glanced in the direction of the nearby town of Jiguuna, "We should get moving. Its a decent hike to Jiguuna and we still have to meet with the men." Kaul attached his vibrosheath to his back, holstered his pistol, slung his carbine and walked down the ramp. Kaul cringed when he felt the thick Nal hutta swamp soak his feet. He might as well get used to it, he had at least an hour or so of walking in it before they'd get to what was considered civilization on Nal Hutta. When Lylieth was ready the two began to make their way through the swamp to Jiguuna.

----------

latest

Jiguuna had always been more lawless than the rest of Nal Hutta. It was common to encounter open gang wars in the town but, luckily for Kaul and company, it had been a quiet day for the small city. Slogda the Hutt had only recently consolidated control over Jiguuna and, having recently purged his enemies from the town, the Hutt was probably keeping the city's inhabitants on a tight leash. However, this boded well for Kaul as he was able to assemble a small ragtag band of former Hutt associates who, for lack of a better phrase, didn't see eye to eye with Slogda and his policies. Particularly when the policies involved killing the members of said ragtag band.

As Kaul entered the town he went straight to the Cantina and tried to keep his head down, no point in spending more time outside then possible, who knows who could be watching. As they entered the small Cantina, Kaul turned to Lylieth, "Go and find that woman you wanted to try and recruit, I'll go find my boys. We meet back at..." Kaul looked around, trying to find an empty table. The Cantina wasn't packed, per se, but it was full enough that there was danger of not finding a decent table to plan at. Luckily Kaul spotted a patron rising to leave his table, "...that table there in fifteen minutes. Understood?" Kaul didn't wait for Lylieth to respond before turning and disappearing into the crowd.

Herrith noted the two entering. Odd characters, they were. Even odder paired together. She returned to her drink, dismissing them for now.

She turned back towards the duo, green eyes glowing, and watched. The man seemed to gesture with his head towards a recently empty table. They were staying.

Why? Soldiers and civilians had no place here. Only scum. She'd have to keeo an eye on them.

Who knows what they'd want.

Lylieth approached the table at which Herrith sat, taking off her helmet before sitting across from her "Saw you bring a slaver to justice on our way over, don't you know that can get you hurt?" She smurked and winked, letting her know that she wasn't here to start a fight. Not with her anyway "You like bringing people to justice? you might be right for our plan. Take a look." Lylieth handed her a dat-pad containing the rough draft of the plan, entailing that they were going to assault Slogda's palace, take what they could, and either kill him or beat him half to death. "There are other parts, but I won't talk about it here, to many... Ears. You in or out?" Lylieth reached out for her data-pad and waited, though slightly impatient, she didn't like these places, not since the shooting that happened in the last one. "If you're in, meet us at the previously empty table in about ten to fifteen minutes."

Meanwhile...

A human male, ugly to be sure, with a broken tooth and a lazy eye and flanked by three other hard looking individuals, leaned in close to Kaul "So what your saying is...we are going to attack a Hutt palace, with six, maybe seven, people. We have no heavy artillery, armour or weapons and all of us, I think it is safe to say, are wanted dead by this same Hutt, the same Hutt mind you, not another Hutt, this very Hutt you want us to attack? On top of this you have no way to actually pay us except through looting the palace after we win and you have no clear plan of attack?"

Kaul thought for a moment and then nodded, "Ya, Charis, thats about right." He grinned, "Are you in?"

"Well of course we're damn well in, what do you take us for? Hutt-spawn?!"

Laughter erupted between the five who then raised their cups in cheers. The truth was these weren't the ideal candidates for what was going to happen but they were the best Kaul could get.

Charis Randa had been a Hutt bookie, he'd have been useless if not or his strange proficiency with a blast pistol that was acquired over years of sharking pazaak games.

Kon Sqasaul was a Quarren thief. He could shoot like anyone else but his true worth lied in the fact he could bypass the Hutt palace gates with his slicing ability. Slogda wanted him dead because he'd attempted to utilize said abilities to open Slogda's own safe.

Idar Stan was even more odd. A Duros demolition expert who had once worked for construction companies, he fell in the crosshairs of the Hutts when he, on a drunken dare, blew up a Hutt munitions depot on Nar Shaddaa. Oh, and he suffered horribly from pyromania.

And last but absolutely not least there was Gashcauser. Gashcauser was a Tynnan who, unlike most of his race, had a strange penchant for murder. He just loved to blow things away and, even more strangely, he was good at it. Unfortunately, when he killed Slogda the Hutt's favourite slave girl in a fit of anger he was marked for death.

Kaul smiled, this group may not be the best but it would certainly be interesting to watch them all work, "We may not survive boys but God knows we'll cause a hell of a mess before we kick the bucket." They all laughed and cheered again.

Back at the cantina..

"Saw you bring a slaver to justice on our way over, don't you know that can get you hurt?"

"I think I hurt him a bit more than he did me."

She wiped a cut on her face and took a sip of whiskey.

"You like bringing people to justice? you might be right for our plan. Take a look."

Herrith slid the datapad closer and looked over it, shaking her head slightly at certain parts. Slogda's palace. She happened to have been there a couple of times.

It was too easy to breach. Their plan was overkill, but welcome nontheless. Herrith merely smiled and slid the pad back.

"I'm in. One condition. I can beat that slimeball three quarters to death. You can choose to leave him with a quarter of life or squeeze out what's left. Got it in your squiggly head, noodlebrain?"

Ahh... finally. The revenge she'd been waiting for.

Oh what a day this was.

Lylieth scowled at her racism, but figured her condition was more than acceptable "Fine, but you aren't going to kill him. That ones for Kaul, the man I came in with. We're gonna have a lot of fun between us, and finally someone may come in and put some order into this sinkhole, that isn't the form of a giant gang. The Hutts are pathetic." Lylieth put her helmet back on and went to the table, now almost full, and exchanged with Kaul "Pink over there is in, but is this all we have? I'm not backing out, just genuinely curious." Lylieth saw the band of misfits and suddenly realised, she was one of them, in her own way. Sure, she has a cause past just what she wants, but deep down, she's almost the same as these people. A rebel with a cause, more like. She was proud of herself, she liked to pretend she belonged with the Mandalorians, but she had done more here, in about two days or so, then she ever had in all her time as a commando. Still, she'd never leave, Mandalore was her home, and their code was hers, but she'd be doing this a lot more often. What was going to be a one time job was fastly becoming her passion.
