Kaul nodded, "Yes, this is it." He introduced each man or alien one by one to Lylieth.

"Now, I have a plan...I think. First we are going to have Gashcauser sneak to the palace and rig some explosives that Idar cooked up all around it's perimeter. The next step is the main assault, there are going to be alot of guards and we will have to give covering fire while Kon slices the main gate of the palace. If Kon is killed we don't get in so someone needs to protect him, I nominate pink girl over there," Kaul waved his hand toward Herrith, "She looks like she can handle herself up close and that's what Kon will need. As well, your ship," he nodded to Lylieth, "Will have to provide covering fire and add an extra level of power that normal blasters just don't have."

Kaul paused to let that info sink in, "Now, you have to understand that we won't just be dealing with Hutt thugs but also a good chunk of my former gang the Tower Gangers. They're here from Nar Shaddaa to pay tribute to Slogda and most likely discuss dealing with me. So you need to comprehend we will be facing not one but two full gangs of ruthless killers. To add to that, Slogda is an up and coming Hutt. He has only been in the game for about fifty years, which for a Hutt is nothing. He won't be complacent like some Hutts can get, he's ruthless to a fault and if we fail he will find and kill each and every one of us, so this needs to end here."

Once again Kaul allowed the sounds of the Cantina to fill the air, letting the reality of what he was saying take hold, "Ok, now, after we get into the palace we will have another set of guards to fight and these ones are the most elite from what Charis tells me. Once we get past them and through the main chamber we will have Slogda trapped in his throne room. After that there is one more obstacle, two Twi'lek assassins Slogda keeps on retainer. They apparently are disguised as dancers so we won't know who they are until they try and kill us, so be careful."

Kaul took a sip of his drink and sat back raising his hands as if to show he had nothing in them, "That's all I got. Does anyone else have anything they want to add? We will want to head out right after this as we still have to get to the palace and set everything up."

Herrith sat down at the table as the man started his planning. She examined her nails, finishing the last of the flask of whiskey.

"..So you need to comprehend we will be facing not one but two full gangs of ruthless killers.."

Hmph. Impressive.

"After that there is one more obstacle, two Twi'lek assassins Slogda keeps on retainer. They apparently are disguised as dancers so we won't know who they are until they try and kill us, so be careful."

When he got to the 'any questions' part, Herrith spoke.

"About the assassins. I used to...well. I was 'employed' there. I know who they are. Pair of keetar fregs. Just look out for the gold dancer outfits. Full gold. Not with other materials."

"..to the palace and set everything up."
She looked up.

"Ready when you guys are."

Herrith checked her knives and turned on her blaster. She smiled and readjusted a boot. Slogda. Slogda was hers. She imagined giving him pain beyond anything.

Herrith straightened her jacket, briefly revealing brands on her upper back.

Time for revenge.

Lylieth wasn't sure how to feel, sure, if they succeeded they take out many resources for the Hutt, but if they fail... No time to think about that now, she was still ready, and thinking of anything that would help level the playing field. On the bright side, she figured, there aren't any shipyards nearby so they'd have aerial support for awhile, and small arms fire did nothing to her Agressor, thanks to it's military-grade shields. "I'll have Rose make us some foxholes using the torpedoes once she gets there, there'l be six of them, plenty of room for us to dig in just outside the palace, once inside, I'll have her bring their communication tower down. After that it's only the blaster cannons though, so that's the best I can do..." Lylieth noticed the brands on the pink alien, of which she had no clue about. She was a former slave then. No wonder she wants Slogda to herself. After freezing for about ten seconds, she cursed under her breath about her condition and began to head out, ready to cause the Hutt some pain.

"Ok then," Kaul polished off his glass then stood up, "Lets go."

----------

Faathras-Palace.jpg

Slogda's palace was a few miles north of Jiguuna and was, without exaggeration, a fortress. Thugs of all different races patrolled the compound and to make things worse much of the Tower Gang was on the compound as well, not necessarily alert but there nontheless. Gashcauser had gotten to the palace first and placed the explosives that Idar had cooked up at various locations that could be useful. Kaul and the rest arrived after and took cover in the swampy forest just outside the palace.

The group split into two, Kaul, Charis and Gashcauser and Lylieth, Herrith, Kon and Idar, each taking the left and right flank of the entrance respectively. They would have to fight their way up the two terraces to get to the gate. Unfortunately, there were probably thirty men guarding the compound and they were concentrated in that very area. Everything was set to begin all they were waiting for was...

star-wars-slave-1.jpg

The Aggressor completed Kaul's thought with a hail of blaster fire, supplemented by several larger shots that created, as Lylieth had said, potholes. At that very moment Idar also detonated the majority of the explosives around the compound causing a mass of confusion for the majority of the guards. Some were blown to pieces while others ran in circles, firing at nothing. At least one guard shot a Tower Ganger and, for a brief moment it looked as if the two gangs would attack each other. Unfortunately, they managed to communicate to one another before it went that far.

It was at that moment that Kaul nodded to Lylieth and the two teams advanced forward. Kaul wielded his carbine, firing the high pitched shots of the "Screamin' Mimi" with supression in mind. The rest of the teams fired as well, trying not only to kill the thugs but also cover Herrith and Kon while they made their way to the front gate.

Across the way the thugs had formed up behind an overturned speeder, around twenty three or so remained. Firing from behind cover, they were not the most accurate in the world but the mass of blaster shots going the way of the two teams was overwhelming. Luckily, everything had happened so fast that they were still trying to pull everyone together, perfect time for a few pots shots to pick off the stragglers.

Herrith grabbed the guy who she was supposed to protect by the back of the shirt. Time to move.

"Off yer can, felinx face! Let's MOVE!"

She bounded with him towards a small rock and slid behind it, panting. A bolt flew over her head. Herrith snarled, pulling her blaster and firing a shot in return.

At the same time, she measured distance to the palace. At this rate, they'd be there quick. And there weren't many scumbags left.

Herrith ran with Kon again, holstering her blaster. Up close was her strong suit. And she enjoyed a good fight.

Lylieth was slightly relieved to see that there were fewer than she suspected, and ordered her ship to blast the communication towers, sending some shrapnel down and causing moderate a distraction, then zoomed by as fast as she could towards the overturned speeder, using her wrist-mounted flamethrower to set both the speeder and the guards alight, then went to the nearest foxhole for cover. She had taken two shots to the chest and one to her right arm. "Worth it." Lylieth thought, knowing she had taken at least three of them with her armor, and that that speeder was next, surely it'd take someone with it's shrapnel.

The battle was in full swing

So far there had been no casualties on that Kaul had seen while the thugs had lost at least four on top of those that perished in the explosion. Based on what Kaul saw things were going well. So well, in fact, Kaul decided to move to better cover further ahead. He turned Charis and Gashcauser and waved his hand indicating that they were moving up. Kaul rose from cover, fired off three shots in the direction of exposed thugs and then made a sprint for a nearby piece of debris from the explosion.

As he sprinted he heard the thud of blaster shots peppering the ground around him but, with luck, Kaul managed to get behind the cover before he was hit. However, Charis was not so lucky, the former bookie had been hit in the stomach and lay on the ground holding his wound in pain. "Charis! Keep your head down! I'll get you!" Kaul dropped his carbine and made ready for a mad sprint to get his downed comrade. Before he could make the dash three shots connected with Charis' leg, back and head, killing him before he even realized he'd been hit.

Meanwhile, the the Tower Gangers had formed up on the second terrace commanded by Kaul's former boss Iven Kalo. Luckily, they were so concentrated on shooting the two teams they didn't notice Herrith and Kon sneaking past them toward the gate. Two of the gangers did, however, and made a move to follow the Zeltron and her keep. The rest of the thugs on the first terrace retreated to cover on the second, forming a solid line of thugs and Tower Gangers. Where the first line had been unorganized this second terrace would be much harder to take.

What as most immediately concerning, however, was that another group of five thugs had emerged from the palace and were armed with a EMP launcher. That weapon would be more than powerful enough to at least disable the Aggressor, if that happened they would lose their air superiority and the battle may well be over.

Herrith noticed the two running after and nudged Kon.

"Get to the wall. Do your job."

She smirked as he ran off and turned to face the two, waving.

"Hey boys."

Her smiled faded and she flicked two knives from her sleeves, dispatching the two with multiple slices between them. After a short struggle, they laid bleeding on the ground.

She flicked her knives upright, cleaning blood, and ran after Kon.

Lylieth, from cover, could get a decent view of the battle unfolding. The first thing she noticed was the sniper upon a balcony, which had killed Kaul's friend. Infuriated fired shots in rapid succession until she saw the man fall from the balcony. Good. However, Lylieth also saw the squad of men and their launcher. "On the ground, now!" Rose did her best, and almost had the ship landed before they shot it down. With a few short bursts of binary she informed Lylieth the ship could still fly within a matter of hours "Okay, just get down here and do what you do best, sweetie!" In a few seconds, Rose opened the ramp, and began shooting up the guards that swarmed the aggressor. She took out four before they had a bead on her, then took a hail of bullets and lasers, taking one more before falling to pieces.
Lylieth saw this, and lost control. She built that droid in the course of four years. She flew up high, throwing EMP grenades over the thickest groups. Her enemies unarmed, she buzzed down, quickly stabbing an enemy, flying up, and repeating this strategy, moving closer and closer to her destroyed droid.

Things were no longer going well. Despite the many they had killed there seemed to be no end to the thus and Tower Ganger forces. An explosion rocked the battlefield more, caused no doubt by Idar, scattering both the two teams and the Hutt forces. A free for all ensured as Kaul found himself behind cover taking shots from all sides. It had become so bad he couldn't even get a shot off. Kaul attempted once and was rewarded with a blaster bolt to the arm.

Kaul looked at Gashcauser, "Get on my back!" A few shots hot the ground right in front of Kaul, prompting him to scoot back, now almost hunched to avoid getting hit.

"What?" The space otter spat out, "Never!"

"Get on my back! Now!" Gashcauser swore and then proceeded to do as told. Once on his back Kaul yelled at Idar to trigger another explosion. Without another thought he stood up and began to fire. However, it wasn't Kaul who inflicted the damage that was to follow.

It was Gashcauser.

Firing his rifle at full auto, he used his other had to chuck thermal detonators like they were snow flakes. Gangers and thugs were cut down as they tried to hit the rodent, who in turn was screaming obscenities in his alien language. Kaul couldn't think of a time when something so small had caused so much destruction as, within a few minutes, ten of the Hutt's men lay on the ground. One was cut in half by the sheer amount of blaster fire that had hit him. Then, as if out of nowhere, the firing stopped. Kaul felt the weight on his shoulder that had been Gashcauser fall off. He turned to see the little creature half gone, vaporized by a direct hit. Kaul then turned to where the shot had come from and saw him: Iven Kalo.

The Tower Ganger boss threw his blaster to the ground and drew his vibrosword, "Traitor!" He bellowed.

Kaul screamed in anger and drew his own vibrosword, running to meet Iven. Their swords met with a clank. Kaul met Iven blow for blow, blocking, parrying and then making his own attacks to try and pierce his defences. Iven pulled a fake and sliced Kaul's torso, forcing Kaul to retreat a few steps back. The two men circled each other, blades at the ready.

Kaul thought of Charis, of Gashcauser, of how Iven had made his life a living hell for so long and he got angry. Using his anger, Kaul bellowed again and rushed Iven, unleashed a flurry of blows agaist the gang boss. For every blow Iven made, Kaul made three and when Iven did do soemthing unexpected Kaul just seemed to know how to counter as if...as if he already knew it was coming. Kaul had never fought this way before and, after a few moments more battle he made the winning thrust that caught Iven directly in the stomach, bringing him to his knees.

Coughing blood he looked up at Kaul with contempt, "You...think...your someone. You...your...your nothing!" He said, coughing blood and phlegm as he did so.

Kaul pulled out his blaster and aimed it at Iven's head, "Maybe. But I'm not dead." Kaul pulled the trigger, blowing Iven's head apart.

The Tower Gangers saw this clearly threw down their weapons. These men weren't soldiers, they fought for their boss and now, with Iven dead and the closest in command on Nar Shaddaa, they had no intention of continuing. The remaining Hutt forces retreated were either dead or incapacitated, some throwing their weapons down with the Tower Gangers. As that happened Kon finally managed to open the gate.

As he did so he was met with a hail of blaster fire from the main chamber of the Hutt palace, tearing the Quarren to pieces. He had done his job, however, even if it meant his death.

Herrith barely had time to see the air support go down. She winced and shook her head as the Twi'lek went to save it. She had a job. And she had to do it.

Herrith caught up with Kon only to see him get blasted apart. She covered her face and cursed. The Quarren seemed decent for scum. Whatever.

She grabbed the body of a dead gang member and stuck his hand around the corner, speaking.

"Hey! You're shooting us! We've already killed the kriffers out here! Come and see!"

She smiled and picked up a dead man's repeater, pulling the body away. Hopefully the bluff worked.

A repeater in one hand and a knife in the other. She thought she looked like one of those action heroes in a holotape.

Hopefully it turned out the same. Only now she realized she had a decent cut on her arm, and a burn across her hair, which had singed it partially black.

Herrith sniffed and laughed to herself. Time for a crazy plan..

Once Lylieth's jetpack had finally run out of fuel, she turned her blaster to the runners, first, killing as many as she could "That's right, run you cowards!" She shouted. That was one of the few times she had actually yelled, other than to be heard over a battle. She felt strange, what was this new feeling rushing over her? Ahh, bloodthirst, that was it. Then she realized the door had opened, and drew her vibro-blade, charging up toward it while blasting as many as she could from far away. She had a long way to go if she was gonna catch up to the others.

At this point all that remained was Kaul, Herrith, Lylieth and Idar. Together, they began to final push into the main chamber of the palace where, despite far outnumbering those attacking, the remaining thugs seemed to lose their will to fight. At this point they were more concerned with keeping their lives than defending their boss. Idar set off their remaining explosives as the group entered, making the whole entrance of the main chamber feel cinematic, almost.

tumblr_n7zv5x6bK31s6w6foo1_1280.jpg

As they entered a group of five gamorreans, armed with powerful axe-rifles, approached. They opened fire, their weapons bolts being incendiary in nature, forcing the teams to take cover again behind pillars. Kaul, who had taken Gashcauser's automatic rifle, crouched down and began firing bursts in the direction of the gamorreans. One on one he couldn't take one of them but he was counting on the fact that one of the others could.

Herrith ran behind a fallen pillar, still carrying the repeater. She turned to the other three.

"Smoke bombs? Anyone?"

She peeked out and fired a burst before retreating back into cover.

"And a springboard off someone's back would be nice!"

Herrith picked up a fallen vibroblade, tossing away the repeater. She had an idea, involving smoke bombs and jumping off someone's back. Close range was her strong suit.

And hopefully she could jump far enough.

Lylieth, now finally caught up to the others, took cover as close as she could, and once Kaul had distracted a Gamorrean, she tagged in, firing a burst of flame at the giant pig-creature. Once she was sure it was inflamed, she turned the flame onto the others, giving her friends some cover as she crouched down "It may not be smoke, but you can jump off me if you do it quick!" Lylieth thought quickly about what her next move would be, assuming she didn't get shot first.

Meanwhile in the audience chambers...

gallery_896_222_32813.jpg

"Kava dija na poomba! Kava da sa mooma reena tah jiima? Konchee sa Iven? Konchee myo guarda!"

Slogda's head of security sighed, "Iven, from what I can see is dead and your men have either surrendered or are currently fighting the intruders in the main chamber. I don't know if they will be able to hold or..."

Slogda pulled out a holdout blaster, from where one can only speculate, and shot the head of security in the head, "Utanna! Io utanna! U ot pranna je? Tash myo svetta?"

The two golden clad Twi'lek dancers next to Slogda smiled and replied, in unison, "Of course master, we would never let anything happen to you."

Slogda pointed to the door and narrowed his eyes menacingly and spoke in basic, "Then kill those pieces of bantha poodoo for me! Now!"

The Twi'lek dancers nodded and made for the main chambers.

Herrith ran for Lylieth, grabbing an old clay vase as she did so, then sprung off the Twi'lek's back, at the piglike guards.

She slammed the vase into one's head then decapitated him as it attemped to recover, then ducked under another's attempt to use its axe as a mauling tool. Herrith calmly pulled her blaster, burning a hole through its head, then charged at the final three, screaming a bloodthirsty battle cry.

She fought close range and hand-to-hand with two, hoping the last one was suppressed. Two were dangerous enough. One more? She'd have been long dead.

One delivered a solid cut on her calf, and she fell as both drove their axes towards her.

Out of panic, she rose the sword to block, pulling her blaster once more and shooting each in the leg and in the direction of their upper body. At this range, the blaster easily did its work.

Herrith then felt the pain from the cut, lowering her blade and limping behind a column. One remained. Hopefully the rest could handle it.

Lylieth, seeing that the alien's plan was crazier than she thought, pulled her T15-S out, emptying a clip into the creature before picking the alien up "Wowee, these things stink worse after they're all over the place. Thanks for your help, maniac, but now we gotta get you some help."

With the Gamorreans dead the team began to move forward, encountering little resistance as they got closer and closer to the audience chamber. Kaul covered the back, while Herrith and Lylieth led from the front. Idar, the least proficient in combat, stayed in the middle. Finally, they came to the last remaining gate that led to the audience chamber and, by extension, Slogda the Hutt. However, it was locked.

"Do you have anymore explosives?" Kaul said to Idar, while still covering the rear.

Idar rummaged through his pack and pulled out a cylindrical charge, "Just this, but it'll do the trick." He ran to the gate and started to set the charge up when the gate opened revealing two gold armoured Twi'leks. Within a moment, Idar was impaled with one side of a double-bladed vibrosword. Kaul turned and tried to get a shot but by the time he was in a position to shoot the Twi'lek assasins had already engaged Lylieth and Herrith.

The Twi'lek that engaged Herrith smiled maniacally., "Should have stayed where it was safe tiny dancer."

The other, attacking Lylieth, "And you should have stayed a slave like you belong, you Mandalorian wanna-be."

When the Twi'leks appeared, Herrith's pain vanished. The keetar fregs that taunted her and the other slaves years ago.

She snarled and drew the vibroblade again.
"Should have stayed where it was safe tiny dancer."

"Should have made sure I was dead, Hutt schutta," Herrith spat back.

She readied the blade and attacked the Twi'lek, fueled purely by rage and anger. The two were nearly even fighters, however the Twi'lek had a small frame as an advantage, actually delivering a few cuts on Herrith's arms and legs, as well as a cheek.

Then the Zeltron cut her blade in two, snarling. As the Twi'lek used the now bisected blade, she drew her vibroknife and countered the attacks.

Then Herrith kneed the Twi'lek in..well..a fairly vulnerable area. As the noodlebrain stumbled back in pain, she put the blade and knife to the assassin's throat.

"Wait! I'm a slave too!"

"Bee cea ar Lariya, schutta scum."

She sliced off the alien's head, then turned to the other assassin to see how the fight was going.

OOC: Bee cea ar = This is for.
