Toki took a moment to catch his breath when the creature was distracted. He had an idea to try and use the Force to fling the creature against one of the trees or a particularly pointy branch to get it away from everyone else, though as he focused, his chest burned with intense pain as he buckled over. All the creature would feel was a slight pull, but not enough to displace them. His vision blurred from the pain as he watched blood drip into the swampy mud below. He clenched his fists, frustrated. Why couldn't he do it? He needed to push through the pain and help everyone, but he just couldn't. There was a child with the group. He was one of the oldest here, shouldn't he be the one taking all of the burdens for everyone?
He looked around, and noticed that there were a few that were in worse condition than him, and those still trying their best to fight despite the dangers. Clove was seriously injured and Elidan was too exhausted to continue in this scenario. If he didn't get hurt fighting the swamp monster, or if he had the foresight to pull some people out of the way, things would have gone better.
Eventually, he heard Zana call out that the caravan was ready to move out. He contemplated just...staying where he was, but he grit his teeth and stood up "H-hey...!" He called out to Kalam "It's time to go, please don't get hurt on my account, go...!" He called out as he staggered backwards towards the caravan. There had to be something else he could do, but another wave of pain rattled him as he leaned against the wagon.
Dejected, he stumbled into the wagon and fell back against one of the seats, exhausted and in pain. "Please...let everyone get here safely..." He muttered. That little prayer was all he could offer the group now, much to his mounting frustration. He needed to train more...but at this point he doubted he would be able to improve if this was his first impression. He didn't have any bandages on him...of course, the one thing he needed he didn't have on him. He tried to focus his breathing and numb his pain. He needed to get back into fighting shape sooner rather than later, but could he?
