Here is hoping that they both destroy eachother in a civil war, or maybe the Hutts get fed up with them both and when they are both duking it out, drop a light mass bomb on them all.

Oh, the possibilities!

Would give rise to the new Hutt-controlled Alsakan armada.

EDIT:
I'm surprised the True Mandalorians haven't gone to the Republic side. To my understanding, the Taung joined up with the Hutts to fight a worthy opponent. The Hutts have proven to be worthy opponents too, so wouldn't it make sense for the True Mandalorians choose the worthy opponent that disrespected them?

I'd just like to remind everyone that, unless I missed something from Lavi, this faction has yet to be approved and is still pending, so you shouldn't be RPing with it or anything.

That's correct.

Niner, questions - how deeply connected are the True Mandalorians with the Republic? What kind of equipment are you getting from them? Have you also considered that the Republic may not be inclined to give weapons and equipment to a faction that claims to be splintered from their current enemy?

Just outta curiosity, how do the True Mandalorians get the Mandalorian Iron for their beskargam if they're not based on Mandalore or its moon? Assuming that their armor is made of Mandalorian Iron, that is.

and what is the best sort of cheese to use with a light chicken dish with sharp after tastes of cilantro, white sage and white wine? * arches brow*

but seriously:

On the Republic side I can say that " at the moment" have asylum on a small world in the colonies and given the offer of basic supplies for humanitarian reasons, anything more will come through confirmation by republic intel that they are in-fact who and what they say they are, and the more they sort of prove themselves.

Naturally we would not trust them 100% right off the bat, but also can't idly sit there and not potentially look to a military partnership to some degree when were already stretched so thin ourselves given the onslaught of the Hutts and their many allied factions.

and being able to embrace a enemy that has shown willingness to turn is a powerful aspect of war ~ as per master tsu ~ so while unproven and untested, were also not going to just throw up a flat no because of the potential benefit they may offer the Republic, and more over the Republics image of compassion to all comers.

Might I suggest tasking some SOLAG folks to do the 'negotiating' with Niner's guys IC? One would think, given the Mando emphasis on martial prowess, they would be more willing to work with the so-called 'best of the best' of the military.

After all, Special Forces guys are usually the ones that work with/train rebel forces in the real world. In this case there may not be a lot of training needed of course.

This is actually already under control. Good idea though.

Shucks. I keep having these (at least to me) awesome ideas pop up in my head only to find out that they're already being acted upon. I feel like I'm always one step behind lol.

work 5 steps ahead in multi facets or webs and work backwards with each branch having it's own sub branches till they get to a single point :P visually like a spider web makes for wonderful planning ^_^

though naturally on an IC level an advocate and representative from them is well and good... but one would also have to assume I'm going to have extra sets of eyes on them for a time too

Adena, I have no idea how your brain works the way it does, but I'm impressed.

I prefer to avoid lots of plans, and instead seize opportunities as they appear. It makes you hard to predict...

Though that type of mentality can lead to underprepareness and suffer because of it.

On the contrary, it requires alertness and high levels of readiness. It also allows you to see the situation as it is, not as you want it to be.

Plans are good.... if they are vague and sweeping. Minutely detailed plans almost always fail.

The first part I agree with because if you don't at least of something prepared, there's nothing to use later on. However, I do agree with the later statement. If you detail plans too much, then if there's a mistake, the whole thing comes crumbling down, unless you have Plan Bs and alternative plans set up to execute in case of such situations. The key thing (which didn't happen in Ando Prime) is to always have a backup plan and a way to retreat.

I really want this to get approved. I foresee fun things if it does.

Especially when the Taung and True Mandalorians crush each other, allowing the ARM to gain power. When will the ARM become active?
