Any plans on how our characters meet up?

Just as long as we get at least one post in between my posts, I'm okay with the post order- I don't really have much of a plan on meet up, so we can just wing it as far as that's concerned. If you want to though, we can all meet up miraculously all okay somewhere though. Perhaps... an abandoned shop or something? Like, one of use meet up right outside, and the chaos forces us to hide as the military face off wight he zombies for a little bit... Then we beckon the others into he shop as they find themselves caught in the crossfire of the two?

--OOH! I got it! We meet up somewhere in the Milwaukee Public Museum! We are chased into it to get out of the line of fire from the military blockades, and we meet each other inside while out running the zombies that followed us in, and help each other out. Then we leave when the bullets stop flying...? sounds good?

I love the museum idea! Here's a link to the website so you can see what types of stuff they have inside, apparently their collection is quite extensive, and this makes for a very exciting, picturesque, and even symbolic setting (with the whole apocalypse thing being the end of our civilization.)

We could potentially find some weapons here if anyone would like to re-arm themselves (no pun intended, Joy.) We potentially find gasmasks or similar things, and some apparatus' and tools that may be of use in the journey to come. I may be one of the last, if not last to arrive though since I'm coming a little ways off of the heart of the town (which I'm considering to be the Milawaukee Amtrak Station.) Miller park is south of where I placed my character mentally so he'd probably avoid that and go back towards the "heart" of the town which is east of his current position.

OKAY! As far as the Zombie Apocalypes thread goes, I know I started it in a rather inopportune time with the 4th, and the weekend, so I didn't really expect many posts right away, but I will now be expecting all that posted a character sheet to get in the action asap so we can get to moving' on this! Again, there's no posting order as long as I get a post in between everyone else's posts.

Otherwise, since there is a relatively larger number of people involved, we can split this into two threads... and just combine them as we go? IDK what you guys think would be better, but I just want to let you guys know there are options. But for now, we'll just keep a single thread unless you think it might end up better in two groups!

I'm not so sure about the two group thread thing.. I don't see how it could work against us, but I would like a chance to RP with everyone at some point. :) Also, I like that Jason and Joy's character knew one another.. whenever you guys end up taking shelter in the Museum I'll (Sydney) likely be looting a store and eventually fighting some of the more sinister looters and rioters off and defending some of the weaker and innocent people. Hopefully that'd give some of you guys enough incentive to trust me and beckon me over to be save when the military starts closing in.

I noticed he mentioned vet books, so went with the assumption they might know one another. makes it easier to group up.

Sounds good! I just need to see some posts get up then, since it seems to be agreed upon that we should all RP i a single thread! (Thank goodness too, because I also wanted it to be more of a group thing ;)) I know it's been a busy weekend, so I won't rush anyone.

--And as far as new-comers go, any one can join in, we just need a reasonable explanation as to how you meet up with the rest of us!:)

-We can just assume that you had survived as long as the thread has been up, and that you just happened to meet up with us.

--As far as dropping out, we will just assume that you died or something... :( but hopefully we won't see any dropping out :D

Speaking of dropping out - will there be an established time limit for posting once we're in the swing of things?

Yes. I am one of those faster-paced RPers, and mostly because we have so many people, I want to have a 1 post per day rule. The only exception will be weekends. Failure to post will result in skipping if your turn, but it's not like you'll completely disappear, we'll just assume you're in the background, but not mentioned. Multiple skipping a will result in your character "disappearing" to an unknown cause...

Planned absences will be a tricky one, but we'll get to it when we get there.

But this won't be instated just yet.

This reminds me: since I want to get this moving, I'm going to post sometime tomorrow morning, and the thread will be moving at that point. Warnings in the form of Oma will be sent to the characters that were created, but haven't posted. This doesn't mean that if you missed that first post, that you cannot join in! You can join late- as said before, but you will have to make a realistic reason as to why/how your character got to where (s)he is/got to the rest of the group! Be creative, and have fun!!!

Remember that the initial group meeting point is in the Milwaukee Public Museum! Chaos between the army and rest will force us inside to help each other out and stay safe!
