He also got a Star Destroyer class named after him. Pretty sweet deal huh?

Abrams, Disney, I've only got one thing to say.

I also found that the crossguard saber and even the top part of the helm on that Sith both gave off a European knight vibe to me. Like he's got a chivalrous attitude or noble blood of some sort.

still the ieda of a " bleed off" is possible given the construction looks rushed and sloppy by design

Wow. And I thought Starkiller's lightsbaer looked roughly made.

It does raise an interesting question of whether lightsaber construction is now a lost art. Since everyone who probably knows how to make one is dead((Most jedi and sith)) or in deep hiding ((Luke apparently)).

I guess that'd make a number of folks here happy.

I agree. And I enjoy knights and chivalrous characters, so that'd be pretty neat to see.

I'm really super excited by all this news. Can't wait to see more from Celebration Anaheim.

Frankly I am not a fan of that lightsaber hilt. For one thing it is incredibly impracticable. Don't get me wrong I know what the purpose of a cross guard is but unless the cross guard is cortosis with a lightsaber invovled it wouldn't do any good. Just adds weight and sucks power.

Still don't know if it's a cross guard.

If it is a cross-guard, it could still function. Stephen Colbert has pushed "his" big theory that it's a single crystal that's beam is split in to three, so there'd still be a fully formed beam within the metal part of the cross-guard.

Could be the new look for the Nova Trooper, is what I think. Obviously an elite stormie though, quite curious about him honestly

I guess I have trouble thinking its anything but a cross-guard. But you are right the beam could be split but its hard to tell without seeing if there are emitters on the "cross-guard." And the split beam would certainly make the design more practical.

Captain Phasma. my current guess says it's Gwendoline Christie (aka Brienne of Tarth)

I NEED Gwendoline to be important in this movie. And as a BADASS female stormtrooper? OMFG :D Or even as Kylo Ren?? XD

Speaking of which, still wondering where Domnhall and Lupita are...

Lupita could be the one handing the lightsaber to Leia.

That is true, however I'm not sure cortosis would have been an option in this case. This lightsaber doesn't look like it's made, well, with an artisans touch. It's rough, almost sloppy and crude, with exposed wiring and mismatched sized parts. Given its state of what I'm guessing was improvised construction, I'm not sure Kylo Ren had the resources to get Cortosis, or the expertise to use the metal effectively and forge proper crossguards. Either that, or the knowledge of Cortosis being a useful metal against lightsabers might have become a highly obscure and possibly unknown property now, given the rarity of lightsabers.

If this lightsaber looked like the ones from the prequel I'd totally say you were spot on. But there's too many unknowns at play for me to make the judgement call just yet.

You are definitely right. I wasn't implying it actually had cortosis just that if the beam wasn't split then the cross-guard would be useless without it.

Soooorta taking a guess that Han and Chewie find/or retake the Falcon (since it sorta looks like its interior to me, albeit a little more banged up than usual, plus i'ts home to them really), and that the action sequences we've seen of it are part of a getaway scene.

Running from the law again? Classic Han.
