Hey guys.. I need 3 people including myself to start a faction right?

If so then I'm screwed.

Though I'm new and probably shouldn't be making one, Me and my friend want to make a sort of 'Evil' Corportation. One that specialises in Weapons R&D, Medical Research, and Mercenary/Sercurity services.

Where the 'Evil' comes in is the fact that while what they do is generally for the greater good, I.E. Finding cures or developing medicines they tend to be completely Immoral about it. Using captured criminals to conduct medical and weapons research on. Developing Biological weapons. Typically violating Humans rights left right and center. Conducting illegal and underhanded business practises, black mail, that sort of stuff.

Jiang did that this timeline with CARD.

Where they all evil though and bordering on terrorist?

Quite the opposite, it's not a bad idea at all. It just needs to be done well, or at the very least with enthusiasm. Since it isn't the same as a main faction (or your average indie faction) it take a little more to get (and importantly keep) it going.

I say go for it, new person!

I had begun writing up a spynet/espionage faction that would infiltrate other major factions on various levels and horde/sell select information to buyers, but in the end I felt it was too complex for folks to get attracted and devoted to it, so I scrapped it.

After my last post I'm running low on encouragement, but here goes.

That kind of faction would be immeasureably useful, not only for what I'm planning, but for other groups as well. However, you would probably need to be upfront with a FL that you've got peeps infiltrating, so as not to get called cheap.

Wouldn't have to tell them who, just inform them as a courtesy. I think it'd be awesome!

Failing that, I'm planning on having an intelligence division in my faction for... reasons. If you give up on a faction just for it, you're welcome to come into my totally-not-a-trap faction. We have a name (under wraps) and everything.

ps. (under wraps is not our name. Our name is under wraps.)

pps. (am aware that my ps. may have less helpful than I anticipated.)

I was actually thinking of an independent faction that was an all-human group with capital ships that had unique weaponry(similar in style to a superlaser, but much weaker). As I am not totally sure how to get enough people to start it up, could someone tell me what to do/give me a hand/an informative link?

How would you get hold of capital ships would be the first thing to worry about.

Purchasing resources/getting credits to build them/raiding stardocks/etc.

****, you really need to create this faction! I'd definetly join up, I can't imagine a faction that could be anymore useful.

I agree with Horizon. The betrayal, drama and frenzied orgies of violence that'd ensue would be nothing more than tasteful.

I'm more onto that drama-part, though.

And again, how would you go bout doing this?
Money, Personnel etc

Utilizing the beginning resources given to me, expand, etc. God... All I'm wondering is how to get people interested...
