  • Another person is interested in the faction too. Just have to have the characters in a suitable rank:D
I've abandoned the jade rebellion idea. But I've posted up a new faction idea (looks better)
As an aside, some info on the Red Alliance: they fight for equality, but they also are fierce nationalists if you will. They will never accept foreign influence over Zhenxing, and they view Zhenxing's history and culture as superior in many ways to all others, but they also view parts of the culture as oppressive and want equality among all Yu.
You're referencing the Japanese text, I believe? There are some good Chinese examples of the same thing: Lady Hao (Fu Hao) was one of the most famous Shang Dynasty generals and also a concubine to the Shang King who, despite being the martial leader of the country, also felt an obligation to have sons. Qiu Jin was a revolutionary martyr in the 1911 Chinese revolution. Many (if not most) of the world class practicioners of Wushu today are women, like Xu Huihui (Jade Xu, look her up on Youtube). That said, I'd look up Ban Zhao's "Lessons for Women" which was written between 45-120 AD, much earlier than 1716.

A woman can still be submissive to men while being fierce. That said, some ideas for you: the Hongmenghui would be fiercely anti-traditionalist and would embrace feminists who was to fight. It's possible the reason the village is clashing between new and old ideas is because of Red Alliance influence.
How far do you want me to go back/ how many spoilers do you want? Cuz there's a shitload of backstory that is not explicitly stated in either Keliau's or Yren's backgrounds.
Oh, that is no problem, storyline-wise. Do you want to know what my original plot was for Yren?
I see. That could work very well. What do you think of having Yrenzhai's former clan of assassins be the same as Koji's, but they've never had more than cursory meetings?
Hmmm. At this point in time, Yren isn't really looking for a partner... well, maybe. He's currently looking for inner peace and crap, and has thus retreated from the cities into the wilderness. He also absolutely hates, with every fiber of his being, the mega-corporations who rebuilt him, as well as the Red Alliance. So, his relationship with Higosha would depend also on how Koji felt about/ was related to those factions.
Okay, so, no offence towards Koji, but if he were to fight Yrènzhǎi, I'd be hard-pressed to believe that Higosha would win. While internally conflicted outside of combat, Yrènzhǎi does not hold back during, and will not hesitate to shred Koji. While he might present an enjoyable encounter, especially being more skilled than most of the people Yrènzhǎi fights, he'd still be no match. Mastery of qi isn't much when it comes to a cyborg, I've found.

However, if you are thinking of interactions beyond just sparring/ duelling, I can afford such easily. I can tell you of my plans for Yrènzhǎi if you're interested. They can also duel if you want, before Yrèn's transformation, and if Koji earned his respect, Yrènzhǎi would probably spare him, if only to let him come back after he'd improved to fight him again. He wants a worthy opponent to take his life, and at this point, Koji doesn't strike me as one, but if you wanted to begin a rivalry I'd be all for it.
Tried making it like a imperial scroll. Oh and on your assassin, if you want the image bigger just change the 100 in
to a bigger size (300 or 400 should be big enough)
Sounds great to me... I graduated today and am doing a movie soon, so I can start a thread tomorrow night... I should return to normal activity mid-Monday also.
If not for the fact that Koji doesn't want to leave the planet, I'd post up an open thread. Its kind of my Achilles heel here. Haha
The rebellion starts like this: the emperor dies of old age, leaving his young son as the next emperor. But because he is a minor, his mother is regent until she dies of a heat attack. The uncle becomes regent instead and it is rumored that he assassinated her. An assassination attempt was made on the new emperor's life, who was them placed in protective custody. A provincial governor openly accuses the uncle, who orders him to step down. The governor refuses and starts a rebellion. Other governors join him in trying to remove the uncle out of power.
