I did hydroponics for my Eagle Badge. Which made me a literal Aqua Buddha (take that, Rand Paul!)

And yeah, we had that scale too. Most schools in Colorado don't though, and I coach kids from other schools/regions. It's interesting to me and especially heartbreaking when I see high-achieving kids from poorer backgrounds because the process is even more intimidating.

I didn't do the rat race either. I test well, I liked to do shit outside of school, I went to a wealthy private school on scholarship and my wife (then my girlfriend) kicked my ass about being a slacker. Which I was. I kinda applied on a lark and was planning on just going to state school. Truth be told, I don't think it would have been that different. Did meet some interesting people.

But yeah. Glad to hear it wasn't miserable for you. I have kids calling me up on weekends freaking out about a 92 (A-) in IB classes because of GPA arcana. It's like the ****ing Game of Thrones, but for school.

If I give in and go work for Goldman Sachs, those will become collaterized mocking obligations. Nothing could possibly ever go wrong with that.

And I was telling JP as much. I volunteer with my debate kids during the Summer, and they're all getting around that time for undergrad. And honestly? I pity them. I remember the rat race. There was not much cheese at the end of the line... Unless you bought some. Now I think I wanna eat a whole wheel of brie.

Some law school friends went to community college before going to Yale Law. Undergrad is honestly not that big a deal, and as I always say, people get out of their education the commensurate effort they put into it. Snobbish parvenu credentialism deserves to be parodied.

hehe thats been my detox distraction. I moved a love seat into my office for an office chair, so I can be all sick and miserable in comfort, and started watching the entire series for the first time because Skie and Kiro basically forced me too - right now Im like two episodes behind the most recent one
