Ram's raised Mando, and raised Bralor, so him going to a Manda'yaim that's been turned into a Vegas clone'd be... well, he'd either have a heart attack or go on a terrorist spree to blow up all of the outsider taint. Mandalore was a planet that was extremely rough and rural... so having a planet that was cold, and covered by forests in the north, and deserts in the south turned into a pleasue world...

Trace elements in the alloy suggest the components were made in the region, in a remote system that's had little traffic. It'll be fairly obscure information, not something easily figured out - otherwise the Fwantans would've figured it out by now.
