Rath was still looking at her perplexed. “My helmet? Oh I think I understand Mandalorians have multiple creeds that are followed and only one enforces not removing the helmet. Go ahead.”

As he checked over his upper body he noticed a few bits of glass must’ve got through having a few cuts but they were nothing to worry about. “I’ll be fine. How’s the leg looking?” Trying to get a look at it but failing. He would watch her work and it was weird normally he’d just pay for a bacta tank dip after a rough mission. Last time he was mended was back on Mandalore when he had been bit on a hunt with his mentor.

“I was born on Mandalore actually but I don’t remember my parents or my original clan name. I was taken in by my mentor who claims to have saved me from a starving rancor that had ended up on the planet. He took me as his adopted child and raised me according to the creed his family followed.” It was rare for someone to ask him about his past most people just wanted to know how much the armor was worth to him or if he could kill this person or that. It was a refreshing change of pace.

She was thankful for the enlightenment, never having been in a position to actually ask so directly before. "Oh well". So no qualms about the helmet. After having removed the shrapnel, she immediately pressed the bandage onto it, creating a relatively decent compressing bandage that, together with the bacta and the pill, would fix him enough to carry on.

"The leg is fine. It won't get infected, it's deep, not not deep enough go affect the ligaments", she explained, judging from her assessment before she sat back up, facing him. Her gaze drifted down to his torso after his quick explanation about it being fine enough as well, before she curiously listened to his story.

Usually, information were valuable intel for Maeve. This time, it was genuine curiosity though. She could barely remember the last time she had just sat down and talked without any veiled hostilities or an immensely tense setting. She found it actually quite chill and it was refreshing, she even got comfortable enough to not expect any sudden attacks or whatsoever from him. Perhaps Mandalorian's were a better choice in companions than the usual scum...perhaps they just clicked.

"So does every Creed follow their own codex of some sort?", she wanted to know, tilting her head to the side. She was surprised by how much he shared, also something she rarely encountered. As she suddenly head a little commotion outside, she slightly jumped before she immediately sneaked up on the window and peeked outside. There was a whole multitude of police vans, countless of curious onlookers, but in their building it was quiet.

She assumed they weren't expecting them so close to the crime scene, and so she plopped down on the bed next to him, this time laying flat on her back and staring at the ceiling. "Seems like we're good for now, but we'll have to wait for them to leave. How's the pain?".

After she leaned back up he examined her handiwork. It looked like a doctor had taken care of him. "You should be in the medical field not out here risking you life." He said while still looking over the leg. Her explanation of the degree of damage meant once it healed he wouldn't have lasting damage. That meant he wouldn't need an extended break probably only a couple days.

She was interested in Mandalorian culture but not like others. Most people wanted to know of their trade secrets and forging methods. "To a degree yes all of the different groups follow the same creed in a sense. They just have different minor adjustments but the overarching creed is the same. For instance the Mandalorians you spoke of are more of a cult group theres also the ones who believe in the old ways and religion. Lastly theres what most Mandalorians are which have abandoned the old ways entirely. Some would assume you're trying to become Mandalorian with this interest." A small chuckle coming out after the last sentence. The sound made him draw his pistols aiming them at the door. He lowered them after his accomplice laid down on the bed. "The medicine and bacta have helped it's at least bearable now. Thank you for patching me up."

His comment about her nurse duties made her chuckle. She kept her voice low, knowing they couldn't actually be too loud at all as they had no idea whether they were closely monitoring the area, but she absolutely wasn't going to take any chances. "Oh please. I cleansed the wound and slapped a pad on it", she replied, however smirking. There had been the compression, too, but it was nothing difficult. She had dealt with many wounds in her life so she had learned quite a bit, but she was absolutely no professional.

He explained, and she was glad to just listen for a moment. She loved to learn new things, and he seemed fairly open to answering some of her questions. "The old ways...makes it all sound so mystical", she remarked, rolling to her side to study his armor for a moment, this time not checking out the value but actually just examining it out of curiosity.

"Wait what", at what he said last, she pushed herself up on her elbow, giving him in incredulous look. Would it make for a great cover and a lot of firepower, sure, but Maeve had other strengths. "I don't really like armor...like at all. No heavy weapons either. I prefer my unassuming looks as they usually get me in anywhere...and most simply underestimate me", she explained, actually surprised about how she was giving true information about herself for once. It was just a glimpse, but more than she usually spelt out.

"I told you I owed you one, I'm not used to having someone help me out of such situations", she replied, an almost bitter smile gracing her lips. That reminded her of something though. For a moment, she said back up, pulling out her phone. "I'll inform our contractor of our success and tell him that we're laying low for a bit". He must have heard what happened by now", but she still wondered why he hadn't known about the involved Sith...

When she dismissed his medical field comment thinking he only was talking about her first aid skills he interjected. "You also seem to have comprehensive knowledge on various drugs and substances. The medical field is more than making injuries go away." He began thinking of that. She can't be to bad of an individual as she could've gave him poison instead of a painkiller and got both his equipment and the jobs pay.

Her dismissal of his Mandalorian comment was expected. "Why not I think you'd look good in armor." He teased her after the sudden outburst. "I wouldn't say your looks are unassuming. I didn't underestimate you. Maybe its just the people you've dealt with weren't the type to be considered threats?" He looked at her after she mentioned owing him one. "You didn't owe me anything. I didn't help you because I was expecting payment. Sounds good hopefully he won't try to snake in a late fee the worm."

His reply made her chuckle, given that he phrased it as a positive thing that she could kill someone with a simply touch with the right poison. "That's one way to look at it, I guess...honestly, thanks, often people are just afraid", she admitted, obviously amused. She couldn't help but question his honesty, because even if he hadn't given her any reasons to question his motives, Maeve was scarred from the past. People always had motives and him being nice to her without reason didn't make sense for her just yet. She had helped him, but he had saved her first...

As he then mentioned her potentially looking good in armor, again she couldn't help but to chuckle, never having heard such a unique compliment before. "Normally I hear men telling me I'd look good without any clothes...so another bonus point for you here", she joked, turning back to face him again as she plopped down.

"Why were you helping me then?", she couldn't help but to ask the direct question, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Because you were imaging me in Mandalorian armor?", she added teasingly. Her phone then buzzed and she picked it up, quickly scanning the text before she said, "He's expecting us by tomorrow. So we've got time...". There was still a commotion outside, so Maeve was a bit stuck on what to do, but as long as no one was entering the building, it was better being bored than on the run.

Rath had sat up and begun pulling the embedded debris from his chest piece. On his back she would see an old scar that looked like claw marks. “Most people are afraid of uncertainty or the unknown.”

He was meticulous with his armor was checked before moving to another section. Her mention of others choice of clothing made him turn and look her up and down before returning to his work. “You probably look good in whatever you chose to wear but armor is obviously the best choice.”

Finally he set down the armor and laid back down looking at the ceiling. “Is it that strange I did it simply be a I wanted to? Well I guess it did sway my decision a little bit.” This woman was intriguing to him most of his jobs up till this point the people he was involved with saw him as simply a set of armor and weapons. No one had taken an interest in the person inside.

“If the commotion doesn’t die down we may have to sleep here. You can have the room and bed I’ll find somewhere near the stairs. If they find me first they may assume I’m alone.” He obviously still was thinking as if this was part of his job. He normally was some form of recon so being so even while injured wasn’t a problem for him.

As she was still lying on her side, she couldn't help but to examine his scars. She was most certain there was a whole story to either of them, but her gaze flicked back to his eyes. "I'm not like most people...", something he surely knew by now, she still voiced it, trailing off. In fact, she had always been many people, adapting to every new situation, yet right here, she had to admit that she was more like her true self than she had been in a long time.

"Is it the best choice? Interesting kink then", of course she knew how he meant it, but she continued her playful replies. "He says while being almost naked", she couldn't help but to add, her smirk widening. "You wanted to? Not strange, no, but it explains why you've immediately undressed in here. You could have just asked, you know?".

Maeve was neither someone to blush nor to get flustered in general. In fact, she was relatively unfazed and shamelessly reached out and carefully touched his skin, grazing along a scar on his side. "You think I need protection?", also something many assumed. "Or are you just being a gentleman?", she inquired curiously, another smirk drawn from her. "We'll obviously take shifts. You need the rest more than me and honestly, moving downstairs will just spread heat signatures for them to pick up". She was still convinced staying here was their best bed. The doors were a little creaky, she was certain they'd hear someone approach anyway.

Rath listened to her first comment he didn’t feel the need to clarify or back it up as it was an obvious statement. She then made fun of him over his armor statement and called it a kink. “You assumed a mandalorian would prefer anything more than an armored woman. We are practically born in our arm….” Her next statement stopped him mid sentence he quickly looked down and examined his body. He quickly realized that other than his boxers the only clothing he was wearing were his gauntlets and gloves. “If I remember correctly you took my pants off not the other way around.”

He turned to look at her as she rubbed along his scar he was blushing slightly. “I highly doubt I’d be protection material in my current state. Although I would make a good distraction for you to use.” He looked towards the door listening for any movement. “Only one of us can see in the dark and view heat signatures. Unless you want to wear my helmet when you take the shift? Just remember once you don a Mandalorian helmet you may never remove it.” A smirk forming on his face as he acted like he was putting the helmet on a young Mandalorian.

Touché. He wasn't wrong. If his Mandalorian culture was what she imagined, then he had probably been in Beskar as he had started walking. "You're surely interesting folk", it absolutely didn't escape her that right after, he almost shivered beneath her touch as color rose yo his cheeks.

"The pants, okay, but you continued with your own little strip show right after", she argued, giving him another smirk. "I don't doubt it", so far he had made a nice distraction now that they were stuck here anyway. But her view remained the same. "We both can hear though. They have no idea we're up here, so I really don't think they'd gather around the building in an attempt to storm it". If they decided to check, they'd send in a little squad and she could handle them for sure.

"You'd give me your helmet?", she asked, her tone genuinely curious. A beskar helmet...It did not only carry a lot of value but it came with many functions. "If I was stuck with your helmet, I guess you'd have some explaining to do and I would never get to operate like I used to", she replied, still finding the thought amusing.

Despite the night's arrival, it was relatively warm inside their temporary room, and she rolled onto her knees to slightly peer up and out of the window. "Guess they're trying to identify the corpses", well, good luck with that. After the TDs, it had gotten unlikely that there was much left. "That means we've got plenty of time to pass... Any suggestions? I'm not tired at all". She crawled back down onto the bed, one brow raised.

Rath was still taken back by how he hadn’t realized he basically stripped himself. He did surmise that the damage was done might as well just continue on besides she didn’t seem to mind it that he was. “I find a lot of the cultures I’ve been in contact with to be interesting. It’s rare for me to not have something that intrigues me when I look into one.” She then teased him again about his strip show causing him to blush slightly again. “Well there was only one way to check if I had any injuries under my armor.”

Her breakdown of the likely hood of an assault was similar to his. “Yeah I suppose you’re right if that was the plan they probably would’ve done it as they locked the area down.”

She then asked if he would actually give her his. He would roll over and collect from the floor and around the time she finished her reasoning why it would be silly he was trying to put it on. If she let him do so he would first cycle through the vision modes on it flipping between thermal, low light and the regular one. He would then bring up the comlink that was imbedded into it. The display would list the channels and if it was operational or not. Lastly it switched to a status display. It would list off a jet pack, flamethrower, rocket and finally a rebreather everything except the rebreather we’re labeled disconnected. The rebreather simply stated off as the status. He would then take it off and smile. “If I had to yes I’d let you use it. If you were going to steal my armor I’m pretty confident I’d be passed out and you would be selling it as we speak.”

He would then roll over and set it down as she inspected the outside. He internally chuckled at the corpses remark as they both knew there wasn’t any to identify. She would then asks about how to pass the time and that she wasn’t tired. “Well normally I’d go through my paces and do a light workout when I was bored or couldn’t sleep, but I don’t think that’s and option right now.” He would then gesture to his leg.

As he suddenly reached for the helmet and leaned over, she flinched a little, actually being caught off guard. She didn't move away as she realized what he was doing though and curiously let him show her what his helmet could actually do. It was fascinating indeed - she had never seen so many functions, usually not relying on too much tech anyway, but she had to admit that it was pretty cool...and extraordinarily functional. And worth a lot of credits.

No, for once she could focus on something else. This collaboration had worked well and it was some kind of a life insurance, so messing was off the table. He then literally mentioned her having had a few chances to take him out and steal the armor and internally she felt caught somehow - it had been the first thought that had crossed her mind when she had run into him, but it was different now.

Once back from the window, she expected a different reply, actually, his answer was so implication heavy she couldn't help but to chuckle. "A light workout, huh? Yeah...might be hard with the leg", she replied, playfully tilting her head to the side. "Or you let me do the work", that just slipped out in a rather amused tone with her wiggling her brows. No, bad, Maeve. Wasn't it more than obvious that he was a rather innocent, pure mind? "I'm just teasing". She patted his arm, her smirk however deceiving. She was indeed bored, but she wasn't going to ruin this precious networking, even if she wanted too.

Rath was still pondering what he could try and do to pass the time. Even with the strong painkillers he was on he would probably still fall flat trying to apply and real pressure. Then she responded to his idea to pass time by offering to do the work for him. What would that work was the first thing he thought and sadly only thing.

“How would you doing all the work be a workout?” He couldn’t even imagine what kind of answer he would get. He doing push-ups wouldn’t help him in any way.

Again, he replied, and it left her absolutely speechless. It wasn't like he was dumb: he was quite clever from what she had learned, a skilled fighter and tactician, but his lady skills? She had never literally spelt it out, but she was used to men just caving within seconds - not being utterly oblivious and blue-eyed like him.

He didn't catch any hints and while she found it somewhat intriguing, she was actually bored and so she decided to just actually do the work herself than. She was sure he wasn't going to resist, but obviously someone who needed all the clarity and open signals. "Okay stop talking", she muttered, not in a rude way, but perhaps a little desperate, a smirk still across her lips. At least she was a woman who knew what she wanted and that happened to be him right there.

She rolled over, gracefully swinging her leg over him so that she was sitting in his lap. She leaned down, passionately pressing her lips onto his, closing her eyes. If he didn't pull back of gave her any signs of discomfort, she'd deepen the kiss for a moment before she pulled back a little. "Do we speak the same language now?".

He was in his own little word trying to figure out her meaning. He was going through various ways he could imagine her doing all the work benefitting him. There was nothing he could think off was he misunderstanding in someway. No couldn't be that he was sure she somehow meant to help him workout. Then she told him to stop talking now he was really confused.

Then next thing he knew she was in his lap. She then leaned down and kissed him. His mind had exploded he was in completely uncharted territory. He basically froze until she asked her question. "I hope so." His face looked like a deer in headlights.

Once she had clarified what a little workout meant to her, she was a little perplex about his reaction. He seemed nervous, flustered even, yet to an extent that he simply froze. There was something in his gaze that told her he was actually meaning what he finally said, but his mind still seemed conflicted...so utterly unprepared.

"You know...we don't have to. I just had the feeling you weren't fully sure what I meant", she explained, actually noticing she had never had such a conversation before. Normally she just...did it. She was oblivious to the fact that he was simply inexperienced, but obviously wasn't going to force something he didn't feel like doing right now, even if she internally sighed. She met his gaze, a lite quizzical, demanding some clarity. While she was usually a woman that just went for what she wanted, she was utterly confused herself here. She blinked, studying his next reaction, looking for a finite answer. "So?".

He was still frozen for a little bit. Her statement had made it to where everything was clear. He was the one that was misunderstanding. He felt stupid not realizing what she was suggesting. He needed to make up for it, also he couldn't make himself look to bad.

Though he wasn't sure of what he was doing he knew he didn't want it to stop. He leaned up and attempted to replicate her kiss. More than likely he wasn't very good at it but he didn't know or really care. Pulling back from the kiss he looked at her, "Let's continue. Although you may have to help me." Though he didn't like the idea of admitting he needed help.

With her ocean eyes resting on him in the low light, she waited for an answer. He was...shy, reserved, careful, hesitant even all pf a sudden...an experience totally new to her, but he did lean back in, softly kissing her before he clarified. He was a riddle to her...an enigma she wanted to solve, yet for now he made it sound like she'd have a reason to charge him after all.

Was he so worried about his leg? Or was the space warrior simply inexperienced, having prioritized fights over a different kind of passion. She didn't enquire, deciding she'd stick to her prior statement of simply doing the work and thus slipped out of her jacket before she reached for the hem of her top, slowly rolling it up and over her head.

She'd let him watch, before she leaned down again, finding his lips, however kissing him softer on purpose this time, letting passion do its work and wanting him to actively crave more. She slowly grinded her hips against his in the meantime, before she began to wander with her lips, first planting hot kisses along his neck before she slowly wandered further.

Even though he declared being prepared he knew that was a lie. He didn’t even know exactly what was going on. Especially when she began stripping. His heart began to race as he watched in amazement to her slowly taking her shirt off.

Though he had no experience he was a man of instinct. When she kissed him this time he kissed her back. The kiss coupled with the grinding was causing instinct to run wild his hands slowly making their way down her back. Externally he seemed to have calmed down. Although internally his mind was a vortex of emotions and thoughts he had never experienced before. When her kisses began to wander a small moan escaped which he tried to immediately silence almost sounding like he was holding his breath before going underwater. His face turning red as a pureblood.

She did get some more reactions from him as she continued, however it kept feeling like he was dutifully holding himself back like the honorable Mandalorian he seemed to be. It did draw a smirk from her as she reached his chest, her kisses wandering down further while she slowly stripped out of her pants at the same time.

With them both in underwear and the general warmth of the room, their skins felt hot against one another as she slowly crawled back up, holding his gaze with desire in her eyes. He was still rather passive, but Maeve knew exactly what to do, where to place another kiss and where to slowly run her fingertips against his skin.

His breath was unavoidably speading up, giving away his actual desire that was hidden behind layers of reserve, but she wanted him to give in, hence when she was back on his lap, she led his hands to her bra hooks, leaving him to open them while she let her lips melt against his. "You're a skilled warrior, weren't fazed by my ad hoc surgery...are you afraid of me now?", she couldn't help but to ask between kisses, her voice barely more than a whisper while his she heard his heart pounding in his chest.
