Nox couldn't believe what he was hearing from the Lord, what was being offered to his people, the chance once more to return to what they rightfully were, warriors with a cause and a purpose. With a slow tilt, his T-visor went upwards to behold the sight of the fleet once more, power in one of its most absolute forms as with one order, more than half of their people could be wiped out in a day. What could take years of effort was achievable in the span of a few hours if they accepted the terms of the Sith, the offer extremely tantalizing.

But the history of what happened between his people and them was still prevalent, the battles and blood that had been shed, generations, and families ended over the years. Nox wondered, if Raz, was able to see all of this and turning in her grave that it had even reached this point for her clan. The Mandalorian would glance over to Reshe, silently gauging what was toiling beneath her helmet and what she thought of it all.

Before he could think on it further, Nox one of the more apprehensive of them all, one of Mandalorians from the group stepped forward, pledging his support for the Sith. Like the rest most likely felt, the only option was the first one and possibly the third if the discussion broke down. While Arthos pledged his support, he didn't make his claim for the title of Mand'alor and suggested one of the others do it.

That's when others stepped in to vouch for their support either for themselves or others. The one that stood out had been Fenyang, his passion and energy bleeding out from his words and palpable to others. While his message did ring brutally true, the way he worded made the hairs on the back of the Mandalorian's neck stand. Either way, Nox would always support the idea of a true Mandalorian leading their people more than an outsider. There were strings attached obviously, ones their people would have to be mindful of but were necessary to have for the time being.

After Reshe sated his curiosity about her by pledging her support for Fenyang, as did others, Nox cast his gaze to the Death Watch Mandalorian as it rested on the man while he took a couple of steps toward him. "You are untested and I would remind you that were a "spinless mutt" too just like us before this opportunity was presented and handed to all of us." A pause was left there, a not-so-subtle message to Fenyang to watch his tone on how he was addressing them as he was still one of them and had been doing just the same before this without separating himself. "But, you do have a fire within you that certain leaders have lacked in recent times, one we need especially now. Let's see what you got. Clan Solus stands with you." But Nox would then still give the Mandalorian a nod of recognition. This was the way and Nox would always choose survival over anything else.

After he had given his vote, another Mandalorian had voiced her complaint about the situation of electing a Mand'alor under the guide of the Sith. As a representation of Clan Solus' compliance and sentiment into the election, Nox turned toward Zaia before stepping toward her, "Because we've had the chance to do such a thing in the past and failed." The Mandalorian would stop a respectable distance away but still towered over her, "It's time we evolve or we will die off." Nox's black visor would bear down on her, "This is the will of the Clans and our people. If you disagree with the Clans, then leave." There was no more time to bicker, it was time to finally be unified under one banner.

I could no Longer be silent. This disgusting turn of events had Brought me nearly to vomiting.
"Are we dogs to Yanked about by our chains by our new master? Unite under the Dar'jettii? Have we gone mad?!"
I removed my helmet and spat.
"Where are your balls, Clan Solus? Clan Viszla? Even Tarre Viszla was a Jettii. How many damned times are we going to Get tricked into ruin by these witches? You turn and pledge allegiance to the first Verd who asks for it? Clan Rytt needs a personal asswiper later, perhaps you'll be the first in line for the Spooky Mistress."

I walked forward, hand on my Hilt, Back straight. I pointed a finger at this Dark Lord.
"You."
And now at the Dar'manda
"And your dogs need to leave Mandalore. If the damned Wardens house won't stand Up to you I will. I would give every drop of my blood for my people to not end up in your glittering shackles Again."
Now I pointed to the whole damned Congregation
"If you fall into formation for these people Our People are doomed. It's happened everything we have been under their command. And damn you to Arasuums deepest pit, where the black burning fire dwells for those of you who fail in your duty here."

I returned my gaze to the Dark Lord.
"I will duel you. I'd rather die fighting than live kneeling."
I spat at his feet and returned my helmet to it place on my head.

Rayyan kept silent for almost the entirety of the proceedings, arms crossed over his chest as his eyes flicked between all those who spoke. It didn't take a genius to see what Darth Raze wanted from his people, and that was a

Luckily, it didn't take long for one of their own to step up to the mantle. He watched as Fenyang claimed the title for himself, and progressively watched as the rest of those gathered - one by one - began to pledge support to the Mando. It didn't matter that he lacked experience of renown amongst them. He had the courage to stand before a feared Sith Lord and a fleet that could glass their already glassed planet. He was eager to lead their people and pull them out of the stagnation that they had endured for decades.

And that was more than enough for Rayyan.

He stepped forward, keeping his arms crossed over his chest. "It is clear, this is the will of the Clans and of our people," Rayyan finally spoke up, his voice raising up from amongst those gathered. "You have my support, Fenyang Ordo. For Mandalore." With that, he rapidly spun on a heel - turning to face Adenn.

"And I will stand against those who challenge your claim."
He said back to Fenyang. Without another word, Rayyan yanked the blaster pistol from his hip and leveled it on Adenn - pulling the trigger to fire two bolts into the man's chest and stomach. With any luck, that would put an end to any dissent.

Fenyang basked within the praise of his compatriots. They could see that the future belonged to him. Belonged to them. Belonged to Mandalore. He looked back up at the imposing Sith Lord, silently thanking him for his role in pushing his people to action. Pushing him to action. Great people in history were defined by such tests, and their ability to rise to the challenge.

He respected the challengers. They were well within their rights to challenge. They knew little of his name, nor his claims to fame. To be honest, there were very few. "This is the problem with you generation of 'Mandalorians.' All you do is yap about worthiness. If you truly wanted to rule, you would have shot me dead and claimed the mantle for yourselves." Adenn Ryett pulled off his helmet to spit on the ground. A proud move, but an idiotic one. By the time the helmet had come off, Fenyang would have drawn and fired his Galaar 15 directly at the man's head. As he was busy lecturing the Sith and the rest of the Mandalorians, he likely would not have the time to notice the rapid draw and fire of a warrior. He fired three blaster bolts at the man's exposed face.

The will of the Mandalorians had already been decided this day, that had been sealed on the failure of the old houses and clan's refusal to adapt, and their abandonment of the city. No, today was the great day for Mandalore, for its people -- for him. The Mandalorian was prepared to let things be, but that was when Rytt had disrespected their new ruler. Rynn himself knew nothing of the man, but his refusal to even stand against their leader, proved his weakness.

His hands were already resting on his E-11 Blaster, as he had been prepared for a fight to break out. He'd quickly raise it, as Fenyang did, the two of them seeming to be on the same page about their thoughts of what he had to say. The Mandalorian would take aim at Rytt as he begged before the Sith Lord. Firing two shots towards the man's exposed head, as Fenyang did his three.

This would be a symbol and a footnote to the rest of their people. Submit or die.

"Oh for fucks sake," Val said. Of course this day had to go in this direction.

Still, Mandalore had made a decision. She was honor-bound to follow. Val drew her weapon and emptied the clip into the offending man. Hopefully he'd be the last to do something that stupid. @Timmen

Beau was late, but he was not too late to see his brother attack someone. That someone still stood, which meant he wasn't too late.

Beau came, Beau saw, Beau fired.

Casany thought this was all just a little too crazy so grabbed her bottle and waltzed away. Unless everyone shot at her too for whatever reason felt right in which case she's probably dead.

Silent as the creeping night.
Death comes soon for all.
But never does the springtime bud
Think of its end in Fall.

The Bolt of a Blaster could do serious Damage on flesh, on bone. It burned its way Through my Cheek as many more seemed to fly a flurry through various limbs and my Torso. As I fell backward, more seemed to join. One last insult thrown at the alor of Clan Rytt.

“If you want me to go, fine.” Zaia met the man’s gaze before turning around and walking away, keeping her chin up. I have better things to do anyway.

As she left, she didn’t look back when she heard a single blaster shot. Then another. And another, until it was all that she could hear. Like the day she’d fought that Sith in the factory, after the day Etr had lost his arm, she was all but numb to what was happening behind her. One day, this would all be over. For better or worse.

Fenyang holstered his blaster immediately. It was still smoking as he stepped upon the chest of Adenn Rytt's corpse. His first step as Mand'Alor. The first of many. The first of an Emperor.

He raised a finger into the air, bringing it down to point squarely at Zaia's helm, before tracing it to follow Praxnor's exposed back. Two cowards. Their names would be forgotten to history. "My first act as Mandalore was to pass judgement." He kicked over Rytt's blaster-riddled corpse. "My second shall be an act of mercy. I will spare your lives and the life of your clan for your seditious talk. Once." What a day it had been. He took stock of his new world, his subjects. His original band of warriors, the Death Watch splinter faction, remained silent. Their blasters, too, had smoldered the corpse of the upstart Rytt. Good. They were disciplined. He expected that they wanted to break out into cheers.

But they knew better. The celebration comes after the hunt. "You, and all other Mandalorians who are undecided, are welcome to challenge me personally for the mantle. I give you two weeks to consider my rule. But when we battle, it will not be here." He gestured to the dirty ball of earth that they called home. His home. His world. He saw it now with the eyes of Mandalore the First - it was the proving ground for all his people. It was the cultural epicenter of the greatest race of warriors to ever walk the galaxy. And those around him had let it fall to this state. As had he. Fallen so far that a single Sith Lord could threaten to conquer and exterminate them all, by his hand alone, and they complied like obedient droids.

His people had a long way to go. At least "The Mand'alor deserves a more fitting battleground. If any would challenge me, you will find me atop the ashes of Lothal's Jedi Temple." It would serve as a worthy proving ground. Just as the first Mandalorians left Coruscant to conquer Mandalore, so too must today's crop take a planet for themselves. Actually take it. Rip it from the hands of its defenders, despoil it with war and bloodshed. They all needed a baptism. And the Mand'alor would give one, a baptism of flame and blood.

He turned to the patron of his new fleet, the Darth Raze. Did he realize what he was creating? Did any of them, yet? "Lord Raze. I speak for Mandalore." He beat his fist into his chest plate. The bitter feeling of cold that the Sith Lord evoked was matched by the passionate heat burning from Fenyang's soul. As it was meant to be. The Mandalorians needed to look only to themselves for strength. They would all soon see that. "Mandalore accepts your offer of alliance. We mobilize our warriors immediately."

"My supporters, the true Children of Mandalore. Get to your ships. My rule begins, and I have expended my mercy. Oya!"

Raze watched the events unfold with great interest. He studied their body language, the way they addressed one another, their principles and what drove them. When the single voice began to yap, he was subsequently drilled with bolts. Was this what united Mandalorians looked like? The Sith Lord couldn’t help but grin beneath the helmet. Some of their behaviors were remarkably similar to Sith when they were under one banner. It was no different than when Stolas had killed his own wife and every other Sith present had butchered her cultists. He remained perfectly still the entire time, watching it all play out. Shortly after a Mand’alor was chosen, Raze lifted a gloved hand gestured forward with a few fingers. A Togruta teen would soon come to stand at his side.

After Fenyang made his victory speech, Raze stepped forth and nodded, “Mand’alor,” He addressed the man through his distorted voice as he clapped his hand similar to a cheesy scene from a very old Holomovie, “You now command eight of the corvettes, five frigates, both cruisers and the accompanying starfighters and interceptors. After seeing more success from our alliance, we can discuss a destroyer. The ships I listed are fresh out of factory and do not bear Sith insignia. You also have Imperial troops at your disposal if needed, though I recommend providing them new armor,” He stepped back and gestured to the Togruta next to him.

“This is my apprentice Ashla Ti. She will help oversee a smooth transition and set up trade deals between the Sith and the Mandalorians. We will begin supplying resources to build up a base of operations and bring prosperity back to this planet.”

With that, the Sith Lord gave a curt nod first to Mand’alor and then his apprentice. He said nothing more as he spun on his heel, returning to his shuttle. Within moments, only the promised ships would remain, the rest leaving with Raze. His work here was done. It was now up to Mand’alor to do his part.

Adenn was.... an incredibly principled man. He was a good warrior but when it came to Figuring out he was outmatched... or outnumbered... he focused on one adverary at a time. When he began speaking I was concerned. When he began Spitting and challenging the sith lord I was more concerned. And then as though in a flash the men standing before him blew him away in a manner unbefitting man like him. I hadnt even known who this new Mandalorian was and yet he came with a Sith Lord and everyone pledged themselves to him and now he had Gunned down the only father I had truly known. I was frustrated and saddened. Then Zaia and Casany turned and left without a word. How? I Stood quietly in the Crowd as this New Mand'alor gave out his Condemnation of my clans Alor. And stepped on his body like a rug. There was no honor to be found in that kind of a display. A warrior had no need to trample a man under foot. Yet that was the way things were now. And I would need to come to the command of the man who'd shot my new Father. In the same way As I had to for the man who had killed my first one. the new Mand'alor left and his sith lord with him. I'm not sure if the others didn't but it wouldn't matter. I attempted to retrieve the corpse and if I could drag him and his items back to the Spooky Mistress where we could find a place to bury him.

At her master's signal Ashla walked up to stand by his side and a step behind, her cloak billowing slightly behind her, hood already pulled back. As Darth Raze left, having finished making introductions and informing the new Mandalore of the fleet at his disposal, Ashla gave him a small but respectful bow as he left before turning her attention to the Mandalorian.

"Lord Mandalore," she said, "the ships are fully stocked, staffed, and ready to deploy at your convenience." She hadn't missed his speech, his earlier declaration which seemed to hint as his intent. "Lothal is well within the fleet's capabilities," she added, "and should be a good demonstration for the abilities of both the ships and the troops aboard them." With that she stepped back, and gestured towards an armed shuttle that was landing nearby, other ships similarly landing nearby to take the other Mandalorians up, though this one here at an earlier command from her, ready to take Fenyang up to whichever ship he chose to be his flagship. "I will not keep you, we can talk more once your conquest of Lothal is complete."

As the shuttle touched down she gave the Mandalore one last nod, before bidding him farewell in fluent, unbroken, and unaccented Mando'a. If the Cadre had taught her anything, it was to be prepared, and prepare she had.

The silence in the immediate aftermath of the blaster shots was ringing and Arthos found himself sighing ever so slightly. Let it never be said that those with the principles were the same as those with the most brain cells. He removed his hand from his blaster pistol, having reached for it, but finding it not required.

Why add to the volley of fire?

Dead was dead after all.

It irritated him that so many people who wanted Mandalore to get better, to improve past the ashes and the dust, seemed to avoid the title like a plague. But then, when someone actually came to claim it, they were the first to decry it. Arthos would have taken the title had he thought himself someone worth following.

Fenyang would get his chance to prove he was the true Mand’alor they needed in these dark times. He pressed his fist to his chest in a salute toward the man.

“Mand’alor.”

What title would come after that first would be up to the man himself to earn for himself. Some titles could be claimed through sheer force of will and the right time and place but he would earn the second half of that title in time.

It was done, their people had a leader now. In truth the Mandalorian knew nothing about Fenyang or his tribe of Death Watch, only that they bore the same symbol on their armor to denote that they had once shared common ancestry. He looked down towards the body as it had been dragged away, and then to the smoke that had poured from the end of his blaster barrel. Nara, the Jedi who had rescued him years ago, had said he was a good person. The Iron Dragon had asked him if he was a killer -- he said no. The actions on Kessel and today on this hollowed ground seemed to point to a hypocrisy in those words.

He'd offer a nod towards the Mand'alor and then to the others before turning and stepping down the steps, his spurs clanking with each step.
