A Long Break Later

Hey there. It's been a long time since I've been on the forum. Used to be a very active member (a quite immature and egotistical one, at that), and been dealing with a lot of different life experiences since then, including marriage, starting (and failing) my own business, divorce, addiction, rehab, and newfound employment in the recovery industry. To sum it up in a nutshell, lol...

I'm starting to get back to a point in my life where I can start enjoying the passions I once had, and to have a new experience with them. One of which is my love for Star Wars, and my appreciation for well-written story-lines, which this community has always been rich with. I realize I'm pretty behind on the times. I'd greatly appreciate being able to reconnect with some friends I'm sure are still here, meet many of the people that have joined since I left, and hopefully be more active over time as a contributing member of the epic that is the SWRP timeline.

Looking forward to the discussions of the future, and learning all about how much the site has changed. It's so different now! So many neat features to explore!

Howdy Zach, welcome back! You sound like you've been through the ringer buddy but it also sounds like you're coming out a better man on the other side which not many people do. I don't know you personally obviously but I'm glad to hear you're back to rekindle some of your old passions, that you seem to be doing good and I'm hoping you stick around!

Just the link I was looking for, thank you! Some others PM'd me with some guidance to get a feel for the current state of the SW universe, so I was able to catch up and I just posted my character profile. Had a good amount of time on the overnight shift to incorporate some of the more recent plot developments into where my guy will be starting off. I saw mention of the new structured system, so the link you just gave is perfect for some of the finer details now that I have a general sense of things.

Thanks. It's been a rough few years. Coming up on two years sober in a little bit. Gotta say, I was real closed off to the idea of AA for a while, but it's the only thing that helped me get my life together. Not just on my feet, but at a point of actually being happy.
