OOC: Open to Mandalorians rallying against the Sith

Both of Kotii's gloved hands were clasped together. His left cybernetic appendage was balled into a fist with his still organic digits wrapped tightly around the MorataCorp crafted bionic. Things were changing quickly and the important thing was not to be idle. Staying still meant death and if their location was known, move. It was the training his father had drilled into him at a young age.

In the wake of the Sith's arrival to Mandalore, Kotii had taken it as an act of aggression, an invasion and mobilized what defense forces he had at his disposal. The self proclaimed Warden of Mandalore knew the dark siders would have come eventually. Even if Srucayr had not drawn their attention, it would have come sooner or later. They were a force of evil and were not to be trusted under any circumstances. Kotii hated them vehemently. He was disappointed to know that many of his peers were quick to jump ship.

Long hours of silence were followed with contemplation for Alor. These were the times that shined a spot on a leader's capabilities. The man wanted to do what was right for his Clan and people. More than that, he needed to think about Hauron. The Mikkian foundling had lots of questions, the kind that Kotii didn't know how to answer, or even have the answer in the first place.

The House Solus flotilla had arrived over Hypori. The Zann Consortium facility Arthos and Kotii had delved into had since been cleared out. Standing orders were to remain ready to move at a moment's notice. The badger had studied the tactics of the Galactic Empire of old. They had superior numbers and weapons to most of the galaxy with freedom of movement. The Mandalorians that did not abide by the Sith's rules were enemies in their eyes and Kotii wasn't going to enable their chances. Even history had accounts of the division between Mandalorians, extensively. If one said only Jedi and Sith meditated they would be surprised to find Kotii trying to clear his mind in self isolation.

The rendezvous location was picked because it was not meant to be a permanent location. In fact, Kotii had to consider what assets the Sith now knew about. How many of their brothers and sisters were going to hunt down and kill their own people for the Dark Side's agenda. Kotii was too stubborn and too proud to accept a monster as a leader. Kotii had never heard of the Mandalorian who now held the title, but it broke his heart to hear about the division. Now they had to deal with it.

The boxy Lictor class dungeon ship was joined by several other capital ships loyal to House Solus. Taking a deep breath, Kotii would join his friends aboard the bridge. Commlinks and holoprojectors activated for those in their own ships and their appearance showed with the slight blue static that was common place. He took a moment before addressing those present. He wasn't calling a meeting or a moot, or anything of that sort. This was a war council and they were going to make a plan of attack. Otherwise he would make one last trip to Mandalore before giving Fenyang a call and challenge him for his place as Mand'alor if for no other reason than to deny the Sith a puppet.

<"You know I'm not one for speeches..."> he spoke plainly to the variety of helms that looked back at him. <"...so does anyone have anything they want to get off their chest before we kill some not jedi?"> It always pleased Kotii that Sith didn't get their own word in Mando'a. Just like Dar'manda, they were defined by their loss of their way. But many could and would accuse Kotii if given the chance.

The Alor of House Solus had relaxed his hands from fists by now. But the swirling emotions were hard to keep in check for Kotii. It was for this reason he could somewhat see the perspective of his Mandalorians that had sided with the Sith. It was a lot for him to process but one thing was for certain. This was an act of war and Kotii intended to strike back. He wouldn't let this act go unanswered and hoped to rally others.

Muse
Paxx had made his choice, he had no resentment nor was he afraid. He had not managed to be there in time to stand against the Sorcerer's influence, the Mandalorian way had died long ago -- the rise of the New Mand'alor was proof of this. The old clans had resorted to petty feuds and talking, there was never enough action and a will to power to seize and take their people back as one. This is why this pretender had taken control of their homeworlds.

The heavy shocktrooper made his way through the ship, clanking with each lumbering step as he lugged his heavy rotary cannon in his arms. There was only one thing that had to be said. His heavy hand and cannon would nudge aside many of the smaller Mandalorians until he could be seen. "Talking is what lead our people to this rotting decay. The plan should be simple...Death to all sorcerers and any pretender who cohorts with them."

The Mandalorian would pull away from his position and would head for the exit, there was nothing else that he needed to hear. He wanted war.

Vala didn't like the way things were going right now. She had just recently arrived on Mandalore, met up with a few old friends, caught up on the latest news and gossip. As soon as she had stepped foot on Mandalore she had felt as if she had arrived and finally found her place in the galaxy. Home.

Then the Sith had shown up. A very short time and some shooting and killing later the Mandalorians had pledged to fight the war of the Sith. Like good lap dogs they had sat when their master had told them to sit. Embarrassing. Their new “Mandalore” was the man who had simply been the first to scream “mememe!“ as to be the first among them in indentured servitude. What a calculating opportunist.
That was what all this looked like to her right now. Was she missing a side to this story? Why would one so readily and willingly hand away their freedom and become a mere subject to others? Was that was Mandalorians were about? Not according to what she had been told.

Vala had decided to scoot for the time being and get her bearings before she made a decision on what side she would end up joining. Of course in her heart she felt the pull that this war had on her. Part of her wanted to join and prove herself in the heat of battle. But another part of her was going through Dejarik moves way ahead in time and wondering where all this would lead. If there was any truth to what she had been taught about Mandalorians they would never remain loyal to the Sith. It would just be a matter of time until the winds and allegiances changed. In the end Mandalorians would not live under an outsiders rule, she believed. They were warriors, conquerors after all, weren't they. She wondered if the sith had realized this as well and were perhaps even planing for it already. Let loose the dogs of war and then kill the dogs after they had outlived their usefullness. Certainly they were at least that far-sighted. But did theiy new Mandalore think that far ahead? She was supposed to follow that man? No!

She put her helmet back on and turned away but stopped halfway.

“I will help if I can ..."

she said and paused for a beat.

"but I won't join you ... either of you.”

With that she continued walking and left the area. This had been an education for her. The childish idolization she had held for her Mandalorian brothers and sisters had rudely been brushed away. They were just people, after all.

So much for saying nothing. Expecting to be chastised by her Alor for going against orders, Zaia was surprised when he’d stood up and told her that the clan would side with her. They didn’t have much, but if they would be going against the Sith, and, unfortunately, this new Mand’alor, every little bit would count.

Having been unable to attend the meeting in person, Zaia had decided to tune in on Kotii’s gathering from her own ship. She didn’t have much to say, and was simply here to listen to what the others were planning and to find a way to help out if she could.

When the man with the cannon made his way to the front and made his statement and the woman spoke up as well, her expression didn’t change. It was what her clan wanted, believed, and would fight for. And though she was personally a little hesitant about pointing their guns at every Force user, she understood the need for some kind unity among those who were gathered here today. As long as it would keep Sith influence out of Mandalore, so be it.

Adenn was not able to attend the meeting. His injuries still were bad enough that he'd need to remain on the Spooky Mistress for some time. He sent me instead to sit in on the Alor of Clan solus' meeting. Though I had to admit my opinion of the clan had changed a lot since the Fight that wounded my father. Still, Adenn insisted, As Fesseja wouldn't be a suitable Member of the clan for this kind of meeting.

Stood within the crowd, listening to everyone who would speak though I couldnt give an opinion of my own yet. It seemed like certain Mandalorians had a hatred for Force users and others were afraid of picking a side. I shared a lot of that latter sentiment since we would be going against the Mand'alor. But on one hand I don't think the Mand'alor Could see the danger the sith presented to his people. At least if the way Adenn described them was true. A good servant is one who serves his Master but is a good servant one who does so to the detriment of his master? Or is it his responsibility to serve in the best interest of his master? Even if that means denying him what he asks. One the other hand shouldn't a lord do what was best for his people rather than his own ambitions? Or were the ambitions of the Mand'alor, at least in his mind, best for The Mandalorians? Could we really face down the danger presented by the sith when the time came? Or would we always choose to be puppets? I was very conflicted but tried to do my due diligence to The Clan by remaining quiet, at least for now.

Hovering between the stars, Casany Praxor sat in the cockpit of her Winged Pike mulling over matters. The Mandalorians had just been shaken to their core, what few there were now cracked in half like a split skull, and it was not always clear to see where her loyalties should rest.

On one side were those Mandalorians who had declared Fenyang Ordo to be their Mand’alor. Great, finally, they needed one! But it didn’t take much; a few votes from a few folks, some of whom shot one of their own in the back and all over. And for what? Because Adenn Rytt had spoken out against the Sith Lord who had come to Mandalore to thread strings between his fingers and their helmets?

Darth Raze had offered the Mandalorians a deal and those that gathered leapt toward it. Yet, not all. On the other side were those Mandalorians who were not so easily bought, not so simply seduced by power or a Sith Lord’s promises. They were not willing to bombard one of their own with blaster bolts for the attention of that outsider, one who would lead them into darkness whose depth only the Force could see.

As drunk as she had been back on Mandalore, she might have stepped forward herself to claim the title, or support the man who beat her to it. But when her own vods mowed down a proven brother, one of her closest compatriots, a man whose moots at least meant well, well, there was no turning back.

She had turned around, taken Adenn away to attend to his wounds, but she had not fled. It was no coward who sat in that cockpit right now. It was a warrior. I am Casany Praxor…of Mandalore…Mandalorian till the day I kriffing die…and evermore.

Embalmed in blue though she would appear to those gathered right here and now, the red gold of her beskar’gam was wrapped proudly around her chest, helmet off.

“I am done waiting. Done with wandering. An empire has once again brought the fight to the Mandalorians, and here we are. You all want to slay some Sith? To save our brothers and sisters from the doom of Darth Raze? Then let’s go raze our enemies.” She thought of Adenn, looked upon his son sitting beside her in spirit.

“I have no desire to fight my own people…but I will if I have to. Some have already proven how willing they are to shoot one another, and there aren't many of us left. Idiots.”

Casany curled fingers into fists, struggling to keep them calm in her lap. “Let them call us traitors for what we do today, tomorrow. They have betrayed their people in more ways than one, and I hope those Mandalorians are made to see truth. If it takes a dozen dead Sith for them to see, a hundred, a thousand…” Her fingers loosened. Rage could yet be as calm as a sea. “Then let’s get to it.”

<"Yo, Kotii! Remember what I said back on Arkania? All you've got to do is give me a call and I'll be fighting by your side until my soul joins the Force to fight forever in Manda."> Ruus'all exclaimed through his com.

<"I'm gonna let you all in on a little something my Master once told me...AHEM..."> Ruus'all pulled up a small script that was written down by Russel Monti. It was a simple locker-speech before the assualt on Ajan Kloss- and YES, Ruus knew full well that the Jedi lost that fight, but it was the spirit that counts, in Ruus' book. But this speech was altered a little bit differently so it fit the situation.

<"What’s he that wishes so?
My cousins of Mando'a? No, my fair brethren:
If we are marked to die, we are now!
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honor!

Kad’s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By the Force, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires:

But if it be a sin to covet honor,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from Mandalore:

Kad’s unfettered Wrath! I would not lose so great an honor
As one man more, I think, would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!

Rather proclaim it, brethren, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:

We would not die in that man’s company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.

This day is called the Feast of Rimaragr:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Rimaragr.

He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbors,
And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Rimaragr:’

Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
And say ‘These wounds I had on Rimaragr’s day!!’

Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he’ll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall our names.
Familiar in his mouth as household words,

Kotii the king, Praxor and Krodas,
Vizsla and Wren, Kryze and Rook,
Fett and Saxon, Cast and Veren,
Skirata and Akaan Salyr,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember’d.

This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Rimaragr Rimaragr shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember’d;

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,

This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in Mandalore now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhood cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Rimaragr’s day!!!">

Two warriors spoke first before leaving. Praxx let it be known the frustration many of them felt for their collective apathy. Kotii wouldn't stop them. If anything he would respect their wishes and aid them as best as he could. One such thing as the supply of scatterweave Kotii had appropriated for Clan Solus. The substance was a valuable resource but could come in handy if applied to armor or ship compartments for any ship pilots. This was thanks to the help of @Crix Dolan and might just give them an edge when it came to moving around unseen.

The Alor of clan Solus was not entirely set on going to war with the Jedi. Fenyang and the Mandalorians that were loyal to him had moved out of Mandalorian space towards Lothal according to his sources, where a Jedi temple was located. Following reports indicated a full scale attack had been waged. It was just a matter of time for other Jedi to consider Mandalorians their enemies.

Casany's passionate voice spoke through the assembled 'traitor' Mandalorians who wanted nothing more than to keep the Sith out of their way of life. Their abuse of the Mandalorian people should have ended millenia ago but Kotii felt the built up resentment return to the surface as his ears took in the Praxor's words. "Oya." He said and nodded steadily in a predatory tone. He was feeling dangerous and shared her sentiments.

The ping and connection, likely from a push-to-talk setting, sounded among the assembled armored warriors and in the cockpits of Mandalorian pilots. Ruus'all's voice came through and the badger couldn't help but smile a bit and remembering their trip to Arkania. They had ventured into an Arkanian dragon's lair among other things. What followed was a speech, or maybe it was a type of poem. When he was finished, Kotii's smile persisted underneath his helmet. <"Thank you brother. I feel like we're in the presence of the battle bard Dalyn Solus.">

<"I've
made contact with smiths and minds of MandalMotors. They should be able to supply us with plenty of ships and weapons. But things will be tricky with these imperial dogs giving the rest of us a bad name. Concord Crescent Technologies, Kalevela shipyards, it would help to have them back us.">

The man continued ontinue the next subject, his responsibilities and focus to recruit more new Mandalorians to their righteous cause. It was just a matter of time before the Sith tried to move in and dominate them. <"The Ewoks of Endor share their oppression with us as do many other people. The Wookiees for example have historic ties to my clan and hate every iteration of the Sith. I've arranged some meetings with their emissaries and perhaps we can show the galaxy that what it means to be Mandalorian isn't tied to a place or just wearing armor. It is integrity the likes of which nobody else has the guts to maintain which is why we...we are eternal. We are the true Mandalorian protectors.> The Sith were hateful and intolerant and would throw them aside when they were done, at best. They thought everything could be bought or forced into submission by fear. Kotii would accept only a better galaxy for his people. For Hauron.

<"First I'll head to Ryloth to deliver the refugees I've promised to bring to their home."> If they were not going to take his commands, Kotii was at least happy to give his fellows this information. They needed to trust one another and coordinate if they were to fight this threat effectively. Ryloth was not far from the Hypori system either. The previously two mentioned fur covered people also had a history of being inslaved, which Kotii had helped thwart recently. Fenyang didn't stand for freedom. He stood for destruction and weakness.

Ruus'all was a Jedi and knew members of the council. But Kotii did not make that apparent to the other Mandalorians present who simply would take him as a silver tongued fighter. Maybe there would be a benefit to having him here and speak on their behalf. Then again, that also meant the Jedi Council would be privy to their general agenda. But the man already knew how he felt about family and even though Kotii already felt a sense of betrayal from the events on Mandalore, he still trusted those that chose to stand with him.

Without anything else, Kotii took the Lictor class ship closer to the surface. The supplies on Hypori, numerous spitfire and hailfire droids returned to their defensive positions. Arthos Vizsla had helped the Alor clear the place out with Adenn and Atin Solus but now it was a known position. If the young Mandalorian was ruthless, he might even direct Fenyang's forces towards the base. They needed to stay mobile and move from each objective to the next. The dungeon ship and its small flotilla of shared transports collected the supplies and various ordinance from the base before clearing out. It was to be considered compromised from this point forward.

After the ships were done in Hypori, Kotii gave directions towards the vessels and Mandalorians under his command. They were to scatter and head out on each of their objectives. Careful communications, encryptions and unsliceable methods were to be used. The Rebel Alliance had done it. The Mandalorians under Sabine Wren had thwarted the Empire's hold over Mandalorian space with her assembled group of freedom fighters. While the badger knew things would be tough returning to a nomadic and unstable lifestyle, it was the safest way for them to travel for now. Their tribe would grow in time and so too would their capabilities. Then the Sith would know what it means to fight Mandalorians and have a true warrior leading the fight.
