A walk through the temple

"Yes." Kiara nodded. "He was created by the emperor and taken advantage of by Admiral Thrawn. He trained Master Skywalker for a time and attempted to steal his niece and nephew. Though it did not end well for him."

 

[Fusion]

Does your family line go back any farther then that?

Lumin was curious about Kiara's family. She knew very little about her own.

 

[Keinushi]

"Oh it goes back." Kiara shook her head laughing. "All our family go back, but are there records? I'm afraid I'm lucky to know what I do about my family considering how many wars there are on corescant. Each new force wiping out the records of the old."

 

[Fusion]

No surprise there. I don't know much about my ancestors, to be honest. All I know is that I'm 100% Zeltron and 100% legal.

Lumin chuckled a bit at her own joke as the two continued walking to the caf.

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara looked over at the younger jedi, she was so strange, Kiara couldn't even begin to figure her out.

As they finally reached the caf, Kiara went and ordered a nice mon cal dish of seafood and went to her usual corner to sit down.

 

[Fusion]

Lumin ordered a 12 oz. strip nerf steak and sat down near Kiara.

Do we always get food this good?

 

[Keinushi]

"Its just replicators." Kiara raised an eyebrow at him. "Sure their configured well, but its still just processed energy and protein. You should try a fresh nerf steak. It pales this reconstituted stuff. But you can only get food like that in the corellian system."

 

[Fusion]

Corellia... Is that where you're from? Forgive my ineptness, but the only planets I've been to are Zeltos and Ambria.

She was not a heavily socialized girl, Lumin was.

 

[Keinushi]

"I am." Kiara nodded. "Born and bread. Pure blooded corellian."

 

[Fusion]

Lumin sighed.

Pureblooded Zeltron. Parents came from Zeltros to Ambria. I spent much time around one of the lakes there, making crystals to pass the time with. Speaking of which...

Lumin pulled a small crystal from her pocket, a Luxum crystal she had brought with her along with many others. She handed it to Kiara.

Take it. Maybe you can use it in your lightsaber. All I ask in return is that you do me one favor when I ask for it.

 

[Keinushi]

Kiara raised an eyebrow. "Oh? I'm not sure if I like the sound of a favor for a crystal I don't need."

Kiara pulled her blade off her belt and placed it on the table. "As you can see I already have a perfectly functional blade."

 

[Fusion]

It's a Luxum crystal that you can add to your saber, just go with it. :)

Lumin looked on.

From what I heard, this is a Luxum crystal. It works in conjunction with the main crystal to produce a blade capable of being more effective against droids.

 

[Keinushi]

"I know what a luxum crystal is." Kiara tossed the crystal back to the Zeltron. "But thing thing is, droids, well anything really, is really easy to take down with a lightsaber. With enough skill you don't need any modifications. Besides, my blade was designed to only accomodate one. And I am not interested in redesigning my whole blade for a single crystal that will help me against droids."

 

[Fusion]

You could find it useful elsewhere. A crystal like this could be added to a blaster to give it the ability to disable droids with a single shot.

 

[Keinushi]

"Which might be nice if I used a blaster." Kiara continued. "But I don't, I'm a jedi. I use a blade. As Master Obiwan once said, 'Laser swords are clearly superior.'"

 

[Fusion]

Fine... If you insist...

Lumin pocketed the crystal with a sad look on her face. She was only trying to be friendly.

 

[Keinushi]

((sorry, but I have always considered the idea of crystals idiotic, so I don't use them or even acknowledge them.))

Kiara returned to eating her lunch. The shrimp and seaweed blended perfectly with the rich sauce. She smiled as she slurped down a piece of seaweed.

 

[Fusion]

Lumin herself cut a chunk of the steak and put it in her mouth. She quite enjoyed the flavor of it.

This reminds me of something that happened quite a while ago when I was younger. I don't suppose you'd care to hear it, though...

 

[Keinushi]

"But something tells me you'll tell me anyways." Kiara sighed, resigned.

 

[Fusion]

No, if you don't want to hear it, I'll stay quiet.

Lumin was respectful of what others wanted to hear.
