Arla took the blaster, but was entirely dubious about it. It was more for appearances than anything, but she didn't object when he said he should go first. She hung back, keeping her eyes and ears open for anyone else approaching.
Depending on how you looked at it, the Force was either with them or very much working against them. As the men were questioning Wodan, Arla heard a sound from up the trail behind her. She didn't move at first, but as the source of the sound - two men - cleared the bushes, Arla stiffened.
Right there, standing directly in front of her, was none other than the man they were hunting. She glanced back down at Wodan, and everything seemed to slow. She had a choice to make, and she didn't take long considering it.
Like a flash of lightning, she had leapt closer to the man and her saber was in her hand, cleaving cleanly through both he and the other man. The girl, Arla lost track of for a moment, seeing her trying to flee from the now-saber-wielding woman. She reached out to the Force and yanked the girl back as soldiers began opening fire on Wodan.
I got him, let's go! she shouted, hoping that Wodan would be able to avoid being gunned down as Arla dragged both herself and the girl back out of the clearing and into the cover of the bushes. Not exactly how she thought the mission would be accomplished, but there it was.
