Arla took the blaster, but was entirely dubious about it. It was more for appearances than anything, but she didn't object when he said he should go first. She hung back, keeping her eyes and ears open for anyone else approaching.

Depending on how you looked at it, the Force was either with them or very much working against them. As the men were questioning Wodan, Arla heard a sound from up the trail behind her. She didn't move at first, but as the source of the sound - two men - cleared the bushes, Arla stiffened.

Right there, standing directly in front of her, was none other than the man they were hunting. She glanced back down at Wodan, and everything seemed to slow. She had a choice to make, and she didn't take long considering it.

Like a flash of lightning, she had leapt closer to the man and her saber was in her hand, cleaving cleanly through both he and the other man. The girl, Arla lost track of for a moment, seeing her trying to flee from the now-saber-wielding woman. She reached out to the Force and yanked the girl back as soldiers began opening fire on Wodan.

I got him, let's go! she shouted, hoping that Wodan would be able to avoid being gunned down as Arla dragged both herself and the girl back out of the clearing and into the cover of the bushes. Not exactly how she thought the mission would be accomplished, but there it was.

The three men were in deep discussion, when violence erupted behind him. One of the men on the walls was the first to see what was happening, Wodan turned just as Arla shouted at him. ‘Cock’, instinct was all that kept him alive as he jumped forward missing a cluster of shots ment for the back of his neck. His lightsaber was too well hidden for him to whip out, so he had to rely on something else.

Pulling on the dark corners of the galaxy he allowed The Force to quickly flow into him, enhancing every muscle, ligament, bone and artery in his body allowing him to escape the executioners behind him and quickly make the distance down to Arla and the girl in a few moments.

Coming to a stop a few feet away the Acolyte was panting and breathing heavily, only ever enhancing his body like that in practice and never in a life or death nature. Looking down at the body, he pulled out the Holo provided by the military and grabbed a snap of the dead target immediately transferring it to high command. “To the ship?” He replied as the three men from the walls and a few more began exiting the gate behind him.

“Come on missy.” Wodan said as he once again scooped up the young girl.

There was a very small part of Arla that was relieved their mission was done, but a much larger part that knew the trip back to the ship was filled with its own dangers.

Fortunately, it turned out that the Shadow was with them, and they managed to make it free of the Bayou without further issue. It was only then that she began to relax.

Good work, Wodan. Hope we work together again sometimes, she said as they began to part ways. And then her mind turned to the girl. The girl whose name she didn't even know and who she wasn't even sure her people would take in.

She saw fear in the girl's eyes that was genuine, and as they took off, she prayed this would be okay. Mother'll know what to do with her, she thought to herself. If not the Nightsisters they would find somewhere for young Nala.
