As the others began to disembark and gather, Lok used his free hand to pull out and ignite a few flares, sending them skipping across the floor. He paid little heed to the Mandalorians words as a pissing contest would likely ensue. Only when the hangar glowed with the internal combustion of the flares liquid mixture did he deactivate his Saber and place it back upon his hip. You'd think some would rather prefer the illumination it had provided. But the Galaxy was full of weirdos. Take the young girl chewing on fingers for instance.

But weirdos wasn't his mission. Nor was the Bounty. In truth, he had already been paid and the credits transfered to his account. He was here for the job. And it was a simple one. Destroy the Droid, the Data, and gather an evidence needed to find who was behind it. Then destroy it all. Let nothing of this place escape into the broader Galaxy. The Bounties he encountered here would simply have to wait.

Silently, as he stared toward the little droid doing his thing, he cheered it on. "Come on little guy. You can do it." as the others too laid in wait. He wasn't comfortable with most of the gathering, but excess complications came with the job. Droids, however, were coded to be what they were. He could not fault them for that no more than he could fault Drexl for being a beast of the skies. Sentients, however, held a choice. And usually, it was the poorest. Jedi and Sith were the worst. The Force was something to be left alone to its own machinations. And yet, they defied that will to raise themselves to Gods in the eyes of others. To Lok, it was a sickening endeavor.

As the door hissed open, Lok's hand fell close to his hilt but not upon it. There was caution upon the wind.

Butters had never been the best navigator and flying alone was a dangerous game in of itself. That didn't stop the adventurously fun Orcolan from packing his own lunch, orange juice, several XXXL Orcolan strength Emryc Energy cans and of course, a tray of the most addictive sushi you'd ever tasted. (@TheDudeMike )

Stopping in at a remote outpost, which he naturally assumed was his destination as the ships droid determined that it in fact was, when in fact it wasn't, was a fact that mattered little to the excited Orc. Arriving in style, he excitedly believed that he had finally found the escape room company Flexo (@Fine Dining Set ) had been telling him about.

By luck or by dice, he strolled up happily next to a tiny little lass (@PurpleDelta ) with a half empty can in hand and the tray of sushi in the other. "Am I late?" He said, looking all about and using his massive height advantage to scan the room excitedly. "I hope it hasn't started yet! Hi, I'm Butters by the way, do you want some Sushi?" Offering the tray to her and anyone else nearby who'd want to, he spotted a gremlin munching on something.

Sheesh, this place was freaky indeed! He thought. Even the snacks were monstrously gross, therefore the horror themed rooms must be galaxy-class! That was rather fortunate actually, given that poor Butters was quite the hemophiliac and would commit untold horrors if he knew otherwise.

@who
Rivia cracked her knuckles and watched the stun rounds fly at the finger muncher. She let her eyes roam toward the shooter, though they were obstructed by her helmet and he would not see her do it. She gave a slight tilt of her head and a light shrug that would likely be missed if nobody was paying strict attention. Some people have low tolerances, and this situation isn't ideal for any more unknowns than we're already involved, a reasonable choice, she thought.

She looked over her shoulder as the orc walked up beside her. She blinked a few times, she hadn't encountered many if any of his kind before. He seemed friendly enough though.

"Uh.. no I wouldn't say you're late really..."

She squinted at the tray of sushi as she tentatively reached out at a piece of it.

"How old is this... exactly...?"

She sounded very skeptical.

Cremek sighs, looking at all these misfits and outcasts, at least there was two people he had worked with before.. maybe there was some competence here after all..

Cremeks mandalorian visor betrayed no emotion as he remains silent, just watching the scene.

To his own dismay, Ferrin knew that he couldn’t ignore the transmission broadcast across the Galaxy. For all the mystery that surrounded the station, there was no denying the risk that it’s inhabitants posed to innocent life, to the very worlds and sentients that the Pantoran was sworn to protect.

Ferrin arrived without fanfare - adorned in his signature, ornate Jedi attire. The hilt of his golden lightsaber swung at his hip, while his lilac hair was styled neatly into place. His gaze flicked across the bodies strewn across the room, expression hardened to conceal any disgust or horror he might’ve felt.

The presence of Sith wasn’t ignored, but neither did Ferrin have any intention of picking a fight with them without cause.

Pulling the weapon from his belt, Ferrin began to move towards the direction of the scream - browning knitting together. While he remained silent, he nevertheless offered Jace a small nod of acknowledgment, clearly approving of the Mandalorian deciding to deal with the cannibal amongst them before it became a problem.

While Raish had the idea to pick up a datapad that appeared to have remaining charge, she was somewhat interrupted by the objections raised to her dietary habits by her fellow adventurers. Instead it was Spurius (@Rimrald) who was able to access a datapad, scooping it up easily as the commotion ensued.

Typically such datapads would be secured with biometric security… but as he was prizing it from the death grip of it’s former owner, the datapad was unlocked by the thumbprint of the dead man. The screen lit up a bright blue, illuminating the Imperial’s face and returning to the last screen that the owner had been viewing.

[Datapad Chat Logs]
Prof. Etamol: This thing is out of control! I don’t know what in the Sith Hells those bastards down in droid research were thinking, letting things get this far without adding in safety procedures!

Dr. Arch: This is the last time we let any of them on the board of directors - they veto’d all but the most basic security measures! Said they would slow down their progress or something… kark where are those evacuation shuttles we were promised by the CCA?!

Prof. Etamol: To hell with the CCA, where are the damned escape pods? Or the distress signal?! You’d think with one of the strongest communications array in the Galaxy investigating deep space, we’d be able to get two-way communication but…

Dr. Arch: It’s the droid. It must be jamming our signals! Okay… we’re two intelligent sentients, we can figure this out… what can we do to cut the droid thing out of the systems?

Prof. Etamol: Well, the survivors from the droid research area told me that it remained plugged into the bridge once it finished forcing them to bring it there… maybe it needs to remain connected to do whatever it’s doing? Like a command and control type of deal?

Dr. Arch: Right… right! Okay so it needs the bridge and it needs its connection to the rest of the station but… but what if we could cut the power to the bridge? Its connection points would be dead and we’d be able to get one of those droid rat bastards to fix this mess while it’s trying to re-route to it’s internal power bank!

Prof. Etamol: The radiation guys said that the containment field had been breached though - it’s leaking radiation all over, maybe that’ll shut it down on its own?

Dr. Arch: And maybe the Sith and the Jedi will kill each other quietly off to one side and the Galaxy will live in harmony… give me a break! We’re men of science, not idiotic idealists! If we don’t cut the power, it’ll cut us off before we have chance to do anything else!

Prof. Etamol: I think I can hear something trying to come through the doors of my hanger bay - how’s things looking at yours?

Prof. Etamol: Dr Arch?

Prof. Etamol: … Gavit?
[End Chat Logs]

It wasn’t immediately clear if the owner of the datapad had been either Professor Etamol or Dr Gavit Arch - but it was clear that their text conversation had been cut short in the most final of ways. Given full access to the datapad, Spurius would find various notes and bits of data on a project related to the powerful communications array that one of the research groups had been working on, some private pictures from the wife of the owner, a list of various passwords for different systems and an app that seemed to have been added as a favorite and used regularly.

A map and direction app designed to help the user navigate the space station - it was, after all, supposed to house up to four hundred thousand people and find room for their work as well. Different key locations were marked, such as the bridge, the medical bay, the main reactor, the droid works and the communications array. All would involve leaving the hanger bay and entering the central column of the space station regardless.

The little R8 droid (@J1-KC ) working on the door ahead let out a series of thought and irritated warbles and buzzes. But then, a quick exchange of data, and the door console let off a rather pleasant Ding as it unlocked and slid open.

The entry hallway beyond was revealed only through emergency lighting along the walls and flooring. Shadows shrink before it, hardening into cracks and hollows around the durasteel walls. Just in front of the now-open door, two bodies lay dead. Their fingernails were bent and torn from their fingers, destroyed in a desperate but futile attempt to escape their fate. Each had been shot in the back.

Power seemed to remain operational. Static sounds of electronics in the walls, still-running data consoles, and regular wall displays announcing the station’s emergency quarantine in bright red letters were still active. Lit guidance signs and their new map could guide them.

“Warning: Quarantine breach. Lockdown initiated,” announced a serene, near-monotone artifical voice from the hangar console. The buzz of the hangar energy screen became violent and loud. Opaque blue energy became solid red. No ship could leave the hangar now.

The way was shut so long as there was power. Now the only paths were forward.

And forward they would find, with their new map, a short welcoming areas decorated with plastic plants, titled paintings on the wall, and a display of more dead crew. Several blood-stained blaster pistols were scattered around, belonging to several late security staff. One data console here was cracked and broken, but the other was still a simple baseline assistance and information program for visitors and employees. One such body leaning, twisted against the far corner wall, had another laying on the ground beside it.

Otherwise, the station was quiet. There were no immediate signs of hostile droids in this area. No hint as to where that single, distant scream may have come from. Moving further would take the mixed group of investigators toward the station's central column. This would provide access to other areas of the station.

Trodai observed as more and more arrived...more problems. It appeared that the Jedi had also finally came in force, this mission was getting more complicated as it went on. However he knew he was not without some allies, possibly. Cremek and Rivia perhaps, if he could reach an agreement. However she was distracted by that Orcalon. The one who had violated him with puked mushrooms,on the night he got his bounty. It had taken weeks to get completely off.

He decided to keep a wide birthe to avoid the same misfortune.

They needed to work out what was going on here and determine the droids whereabouts. He would leave the rest to their fates.

He looked dispassionately as Raish was stunned, deciding not to compromise himself, even if she was his contact. She had exposed herself and so now he was likely alone until she woke up. Even then it was perhaps a good thing she was put to sleep, less she eat him too. She seemed to not care for friend or foe.

Instead he saw what appeared to be more Force-Users. Including a Sith he didn't recognise, but had seen briefly, a Fiani from the Academy. Which would be useful. Especially with so many Jedi and others wanting what they were after, this would require allies.

He kept up his facade, his lightsaber still out of sight, unlike another who had waved his around briefly. Trodai noted the datapad and didn't care if it was rude, looking at it as Spurius played it. Looking over his shoulder. If it was useful information, he wanted to know it, especially in regards to the rogue droid and the research. A map helped too.

He heard the warning. That wasn't good, but there was no way back now, only forward.

He moved towards the front of the group as the doors opened, better to get a head start. Although from the datapad, the droid was definitely now sentient so they had to be cautious. He moved to the baseline assistance and information program for visitors and decided to try and see what information it might have. If anything useful at all.

OOC Summary:
Trodai looked over Spurius shoulder to peak at the datapad, even if he might protest. Trodai doesn't particularly care at that moment. He then moved to the front of the crowd and headed to the consoles, specifically the one working (baseline assistance program) to see what is on it.

As Spurius read messages, he did his best to paraphrase the conversation aloud so that all who cared enough to pay attention would share the information he had at his finger tips. Hard to miss, and taking note of the hulking pureblood over his shoulder (@Akheron) Spurius continued to read, shooting a glance in his direction before attempting to repress a look of disapproval at his very presence. But now was not the time to fight. Maybe if he was lucky this rogue sentience would reduce the number of Sith present to a whopping zero. Just maybe.

With conclusion of his read-aloud session Spurius stands from his squat and thumbs through the datapad for more information. Reviewing the various notes and bits of data on a project related to the powerful communications array that one of the research groups had been working on, some private pictures from the wife of the owner, a list of various passwords for different systems and an app that seemed to have been added as a favorite and used regularly. As well as the map and direction app making note of the key locations marked, such as the bridge, the medical bay, the main reactor, the droid works and the communications array.

With this information being reviewed, Spurius would find his way into the welcome area and find a chair hoping to keep the additional information he would parse through to himself.

When his research is concluded, Spurius would then open the chat log and attempt to message whoever was on the other end. Typing <Doctor?> and then <Professor?> followed by <Either of you still with us?> into the chat.

Should anyone else present wish to take the datapad from Spurius he will contest the attempt.

  1. Spurius attempts to read the chat log aloud to anyone who cares to listen
  2. Spurius attempts to privately dives into the data available as provided by the DM (see large bolded section)
  3. Spurius attempts to sit in the welcome area and enter the chat, seeing if he gets a response

S’kenji would have wanted to look at the datapad, but between the Imperial and the colossal Pureblood already looking at it, the Fiani didn’t have much chance of finding a breach for himself to spy on it. Perhaps he could ask them what they were reading on it. Unless they kill each before.

The face that the Imperial guy was doing made the Acolyte think that it could be the case.

Since there wasn’t much for him to do until the droid opened the door, S’kenji put his notebook pack in a pocket and went to give a look around the place. The Fiani would turn some bodies, trying to find something useful that could have been buried below some many dead people. He would also search in what remained of their clothes for something that could have been in their pockets.

When the droid finally opened the door, the Fiani approached the entrance. The warning made the Acolyte sigh, it was obvious that they were going to end up locked in this place. S’kenji was surprised when it didn’t happen immediately after he arrived. This situation was predictable like the sun setting behind the mountains of his homeworld, bathing the snow and stones with different colors.

This thought made him pull back his notebook and write about doing a kimono based in the sunset. This place was really giving some inspiration.

Once this moment of inspiration ended, S’kenji approached the Pureblood (@Akheron) that was trying to spy on the datapad. “Did you see something important here?

1-He is turning bodies if there is something useful below them
2-He also search their clothes for other useful things

Everyone had seen what happened on the holonet. And once everyone had seen it, Vanya had eventually heard about it and gone to watch for herself. It was gruesome and horrible, and it was just the sort of thing that a Jedi needed to be involved in.

Of course, there were others who had come to assist the innocent and smite the guilty, but Vanya had been eager to be involved.

Her arrival on the station was anything but pleasant. Dead bodies were strewn across the landing zone, and the mixture of people who had arrived in answer to the... well, it wasn't really a distress signal, but whatever it was... anyway, they were nearly as weird as the place itself. When the dead bodies strewn on the floor were the second most disturbing thing, you knew that was bad news.

First place went to the queen of necromunching herself and Vanya was almost thankful that someone pulled out a stun gun and promptly put her in her place. If they were in a more civilized place it probably would have warranted more of a look, but they weren't in a civilized place.

Lightsabers were waving, blasters were going off, and Vanya was at least glad that she recognized one of the people there as a Jedi. Granted, she didn't know Ferrin well (@Altaris) but the two of them at least ran in the same circles, and that made him more reliable than most of the people here.

The doors closed around them and the lockdown was declared and Vanya winced. There was no turning back now.

She pressed onward and followed the sound of the scream along with Ferrin (@Altaris) doing her best to listen to the words being read aloud behind her, but losing interest about halfway through and heading onward.

Trini looked up in surprise at Laeonas' appearance, tail wagging a little in recognition as she looked up at him. Her brief relief at the Brentaalan's appearance was interrupted as the door controls chimed, and the massive blast door rolled open, showing the long, shadowed corridor beyond. She started at the stun bolt collided with the being snacking on the fingers of one of the dead, not having noticed the act before in all the carnage; it didn't seem to phase her much, however, there were other things on her mind.

"Good to see you." Trini replied, gripping her weapon a little tighter as she sidled up beside the taller being. "For once, I don't think this is Sith work, or Jedi for that matter; you could say I have a history with the thing we're here to deal with. I just never thought-"

Abruptly, a computerized announcement sounded, and Trini's ears flattened. Whirling around, she saw the energy barrier that sealed the hangar against atmosphere loss flash to red. He tail swished in agitation.

"Kark!!" The Amaran hissed, shouldering her ion blaster and whirling back toward the corridor. "Now we're trapped! Short of shorting that barrier and exposing us all to vacuum..."

Trini peered ahead into the corridor. Seeming to remember something, she reached up to tap a button on her headset, and a small door opened on it, revealing a pop-out holoprojector that played an image in front of her eyes. The CZ-MF's night vision mode pierced the gloom of the corridor ahead, exposing what lay in the many shadows.

"Hey, Laeo, you got a comm?" Trini asked, adjusting her grip on her weapon. "I'll give you my channel, in case we get separated."

cremek would turn, glaring as the door closed shut behind the party, how annoying...

just look at them.. how pathetic.. look how they huddle together like animals in fear of what's happening.. well.. that should end soon enough..

cremek thought to himself, their childlike fears mean nothing, he would pay no heed to their underlying panic, as the ronin was long desensitised to the bloody scenes like this before him, he simply could not understand the feelings of fear that hung in the air, he shrugs before deciding to move with the two moving on towards the scream

Before Raish could get a good look at what was on the datapad, she felt something slam into her. Her right arm took the brunt of the impact and she felt the warm, numbing feeling spread from her shoulder all the way down to her fingertips.

All in all, it was actually kind of pleasant. It was nice not to feel things and she wondered what it would be like for her entire body to feel this way. Just calm and numb, no incessant buzzing of her brain and the constant want to be moving, to be rocking, to be doing something.

She turned to look at where the shot had come from but there was no anger on her face when she say Jayce, only a contented smile like the man had just told her she was the prettiest girl at the party. She wobbled her useless arm back and forth and giggled a bit at how it moved like it was made of silly puddy.

Humming to herself and still wibbly-wobblying her now entirely useless arm, Raish would look to follow the two Jedi that were seeking out the source of the scream. The blaring alarm about lockdown didn't phase her too much, she'd been in numerous lockdowns when she was still living in the laboratory. It happened all the time.

Catching up with the two Jedi, Raish would use her one good hand to wave at them and flash them an overly-pointed tooth smile.

Do you guys think a droid could have made the scream sound? She asked, casting a side-eyed glance at Ferrin and Vanya. I saw a holonet movie about killer droids once, they did something like that to trick people into a trap. Everybody in that movie diiiied. She said, making one of those yikers faces at the prospect something similar could happen here.

Do you guys have names?

Khalid didn't quite realize how quickly this had turned into a party, a party with some wild characters for sure, he couldn't help but look in disgust as a woman took him by surprise by munching on some corpse fingers "What the fu..." He mumbled under his breath. Truth be told, he was normally more used to species that took a bite from people here and there, such as Gamorreans and Trandoshans. The Bounty Hunter bussiness in the Outer Rim meant that, more often than the "dog eat dog" kind of galaxy was as literal as it was figurative. But it still took him by surprise when a human looking species did it. Did not even notice the teeth until she began to talk to him, what was she? A Verminion? Couldn't be, too much hair, not enough weird bumps.

Regardless, shortly after she approached him, she would be hit by a blaster bolt and Khalid would quickly jump back in response to it, his blaster being quickly raised and pointing in the direction of where it came from reflexively before realizing what had happened. the Tiefling, knowing how it felt to be treated like a freak, was going to try to warn her about such behaviours, tell her that people did not take kindly to eating sentient flesh and all that stuff, do something nice for once...But when Raish started to wiggle her stunned arm, the Tiefling cowboy figured she was all right and that maybe she was really, REALLY weird. So, simply shrugging and walking alongside her and the jedi, who were usually dependable folk (as long as you weren't a Wookie from what he had heard).

Of course, he would take a more comfortable spot in the back, for he knew the jedi would probably die for any stranger in the name of the light side or whatever, so they could be his glow-in-the dark meat shields that also doubled as flashlights. Other people in the group were investigating, but Khalid didn't feel like staying in the corpse ridden entrance for long, the place gave him the heebie-jeebies so he'd rather move forward, even if what they were about to encounter was probably much worse.

"Either that or the clankers have developed an interest in torture." Khalid said in response to Rhaid, not counting on people being able to have survived so long under any other circumstances. Both possibilities were quite horrible, but Khalid had to deal with horrible situations daily, this didn't spook him...Actually, it did, a lot, but he would never show it.

"Different names dependin' on where I am, but ya'all can call me Khalid."

Keck's concern was momentarily abated as he was lifted onto Natalie's (@TheDudeMike ) shoulders, now suddenly aware of what it was like to be a tall person. This was great! He could see so much further! "Yah! Team snack!" he replied jubilantly, returning the fist bump with diminutive gusto.

While he couldn't make out a vending machine yet, he waved at the familiar face of Butters (@Xorism ) easily noticeable among the now-large gathering. Keck had given the Orcolan snacks last time, and it looked like he'd come to return the favour! How nice. Managing to float a couple of Sushi pieces over with the Force, he handed one down to Natalie.

The others seemed to be going on about something on a datapad, but Keck was more concerned with the PA announcement and the hangar beams turning red. Uh oh. As the group moved ahead, Keck looked down to the little Amaran (@AutoFox ) that seemed to know more about the Big Problem that was happening. "His-to-ry? This...happened before?" he warbled concernedly. "Any...survivors?"

Rivia saw two other pieces of sushi being floated off the plate towards someone and she squinted. 'Ah... more force users...' she thought to herself. As she heard the lock down initiate, she lifted up her helmet and tossed the sushi piece into her mouth. If it was old, or gave her some kind of stomach ache, she would deal with it later. She has eaten some disturbing things in the past to stay alive.

She mostly decided to quickly eat it to free her hands for any trouble accompanying the lock down. Rivia rests her hands on her blaster hints and lowers her helmet again, examining the roof and the walls, looking for hatches where things might suddenly pop out from, or any weird ambush points I the walla or ceiling that the Droid or something else could pop out of for sneak attacks, or any signs of a gas leak. She continued onward toward the people she vaguely knew, following Trodai into the room with the information console.

"What do you make of this nonsense? Surely it couldn't have killed all of those people by itself using normal means? Perhaps it used the stations defenses against them.. like defense turrets, gas, or something?"
@Akheron

Rivia shrugged as she continued to scan the room for anything out of place.

As the door hissed open, a warning alert alarmed and klaxons resounded as the shielding array at the rear turned from their usual blue hue to a bright red as their retreat was sealed off. While Lok had expected that, it was still a surprise. Damned Quarantine Protocols. But there wasn't anything that could be done, yet. They'd likely have to find the console tied directly into it and have the Droid override it, or crudely do it themselves. Either way, it was a moot point in this moment in time and the Imperial @Spurius Livius Gaetulicus was reading aloud the datapad's content, so he shifted his focus there.

Staying at the rear of the party, Lok listened attentively as he perused the first of the two bodies at the entry way, taking note of the nails self removal as well as the blaster bolts to the back, but noted that the Rogue Droid held a consistent power supply and likely rendered this handiwork not of his own. Looking up toward the group, Lok suspected there were other obstacles able to freely move about, whether it be Droid or Sentient separate from the one they sought. Turning to the second, he searched their pockets for anything of note before catching up with the group as they made their way into the welcoming center.

The welcoming center areas were more of the same scene. Bodies laid about, as well as blasters belonging the to the security force, and a few of the staff. Still a lingering expression of disdain upon his face, Lok noticed two more datapads strewn about and picked up the one that wasn't broken, a simple storage of visitor and new employees baseline introductionary, but it didn't hurt to peruse the information any way to see what the public appearance portrayed. He had came here to investigate whom was behind this atrocity, and destroy all data concerning it, and that was his sole mission.

Shifting his gaze toward the other with the revealing datapad, he pondered what he was searching for. That was when Lok noticed the peculiar way two of the bodies were placed in the fartherest corner, one of which held an unusual lean to it and appeared to be standing. Cautiously, Lok picked up a Westar 35 that laid with reach without alerting the others and began walking over to investigate the scene, finger on the trigger as a safety precaution.

1. Searched the two bodies at the entryway for anything of note.
2. Picked up the unbroken Datapad in the Welcoming Center.
3. Walking over to investigate the two forms in the far corner of the welcoming center.

Paranoia was a hell of a drug, but the high didn’t last very long. If the Sith were the ones behind this, they wouldn’t have allowed a Jedi to get within ten lightyears of the station, and he counted… four of them? “A Sith would space us all if it meant kililng four Jedi.” He thought. The fact they’d gotten this far was proof it couldn’t be them.

Lowering his weapon, Laeo would glance down at the Amaran, grinning despite the tension in the room. It seemed they’d come to similar conclusions, though Trini seemed to have greater insight into what was going on– even as she was interrupted from explaining by the warning system.

“...I have always wanted to see how long I can hold my breathe out there…” he muttered, looking down at the Amaran with a stone cold expression before he burst into a cheeky grin. “Seriously though, let’s get out of here before that droid thing decides to space us.” He said, raising his voice so anyone around the two of them could hear.

Reaching down, he’d hand the Amaran his commlink. “Copy my digits. You can explain what history you’ve got with this thing while we move.” he said flatly, clutching his blaster as he moved through the hangar and down the corridors. He glanced around, once at a masked man aroudn his height and size, (@Akheron) and at another in robes (@Rimrald) who’d been fiddling with a data pad next to him.

It didn’t take long until he had found his way into the welcome area, the cold sterility of the room marred by the corpses strewn about. He grimaced as he stared at the bodies of the security team, reaching to pick up one of the bloodied blaster pistols. He gave it a quick inspection, curious if they had even managed to discharge a bolt before they were gunned down.

Once his inspection was finished, he’d look around until he spotted one of the data consoles mounted on the wall, then turn to find the two bodies pressed into the corner. One man (@Mythos) had already started his inspection, and Laeo would soon join him. As the one man tapped away at the data console, Laeo would begin padding the two bodies down, fishing into pockets, trying to find anything of use, or anything that could provide insight into what was going on.

Kavi’s smile became a small frown as the lockdown went into effect. The absence of a way out was inconvenient, but no reason to panic yet. She listened in as the man holding a datapad read aloud what was likely the last exchange between two colleagues. So cutting the droid’s connection could buy time, if need be. Looking around, Kavi felt the ache in her heart grow at the sight of more dead. It was so cruel, and so needless.

Kavi moved away from the entry area. She was far more concerned with finding the source of the scream than whatever else could be found on the datapad. With her long strides, Kavi caught up to the group headed farther into the station. There were two other identifiable Jedi, a Tiefling who stood behind them introducing himself as ‘Khalid’, and the woman who just a few moments ago was eating a corpse. Kavi smiled at all of them. She was glad there seemed to be no hard feeling from the woman over getting stunned. The last thing the Jedi wanted was fighting among those gathered. Her arm wasn’t looking great, but she seemed cheerful. Kavi appreciated that.

At the soonest opportune time, she would introduce herself with a bow of her head, which hardly does anything to detract from her large stature.

“Hello! Lovely to meet you all, I am Kavi.”

After having introduced herself she would straighten up and begin trying to reach through the force, past all the death and pain and see if she could sense any life ahead. She wouldn’t expect much, this type of force sense was never her strong suit, but she figured it was worth a try.

Trodai shook his head as the Fiani spoke, before answering his inquiry. He wasn't yet sure what to think of him,but given they were working towards the same goal, it for now made them allies. More so since they were both of the same Order.

"Not yet, although the one holding the datapad was hardly helpful. His holding out on us I think...before he took it away I did spot something about a project related communication erray, could be of importance. But I only caught a glimpse before he walked off. I think if we are to find what we are after we will need to have a closer look but I don't think his going to let us just look. Unless we can find a way to...separate them.

He is suspicious though. I suspect either a Jedi or Imperial, most likely imperial given the way he acted, one thing is certain...he definitely shares our gifts. Like many here, this is not going to be easy with so much competition. Mostly, Jedi by looks of it, we will need to misdirect and put them into situations to our benefit if we are to achieve our goal. I guess you might be my contact, or one of them. I was told to expect some help from others. Never caught your name though but have seen you once or twice, I'm Trodai. I suggest we be careful of who we speak too or how much we reveal. If this droid is as smart as I suspect, we need an edge."

It was moments later Rivia came up. Trodai gave a nod of acknowledgement even as she are the sushi. He spoke, replying to her question. Waiting until the unknown Force-User (@Mythos ) had passed until he spoke. Unsure of his intentions.

"I would be careful, last time I saw someone take something from that Orcalon they started acting weird after. I agree though, given what we know so far. We know by the transmission and the message that was spoken about that it's confirmed, the droid appears to have acquired some kind of sentience. In whatever form that is. Even a self aware droid would require help and additional power from somewhere. I'm just checking to see if we can see what defences we could be expected to encounter. And perhaps where it might be currently. I'm checking for a backdoor inside the system, see if there are something we could use. The more information we have before taking it on, where the data is, and a way to weaken the droid, the better our chances.

In that regard, I wish to strike an arrangement. We are obviously here for the same reasons. Somewhat. How about we work together on this? I seek only the research, in return for assisting in acquiring it, those I work with would probably be more than willing to compensate those who help us with this. Potentially even doubling whatever fee you have been offered. And offer more work after. What you think? You willing to work together again? Although I don't think our other 'friend' is with us if we do. Luckily this one here, seems ok."

He said looking to the Fiani Sith.

A super excited Butters was quite happy to share the freshly acquired hallucinogenic sushi rolls. "Oh yes, they've just been made, got them from a cute little shop in Troiken, highly recommend." A spoooky escape room called for the most magnificent trip, and thus the Orcolan made sure that the strongest pieces were consumed by him. @PurpleDelta

Polly, his droid parrot, sat quietly observing on his shoulder.

Butters, standing under Polly, was in fact excited to get a move on with the start of the game and thus made his way to the first door aiming to explore what was on the other side.
