Vexxus looked around at his surroundings, as he was unfamiliar with this planet, New Alderaan. As far as his knowledge went, this was not a Sith planet, but a New Republic controlled one. Which meant it might be crawling with Jedi, he thought. He wandered the clean streets, watching every movement in the shadows. While the planet was relatively safe, he knew far too well that someone could be watching. One block further, he turned around the corner into an alleyway that would lead to a bar. Upon entry to the alleyway, however, he encountered a man in robes, sitting on the floor, almost meditating. He attempted to ignore the man, but to no avail. The man noticed him, and with his eyes closed, he said, “You seem troubled by my presence.” The old man in the robes said, reaching into his robe, and Vexxus heard a click of metal. “Who are you?” Vexxus said, growling, almost sure this man would be a threat. Vexxus too reached deep into his darker robes, and grabbed his lightsaber, but hid it under his robes. “You can’t sense me, unless of course... you’re a Jedi.” Vexxus said, as the realisation sunk into him. This situation was the exact reason he didn’t want to come to New Alderaan. But something drew him here. He just hoped that it wasn’t the presence of this man. “You would be right.” The old man said, and looked up at Vexxus. “You are a citizen, are you not?” The Jedi asked, examining Vexxus. Then, Vexxus sensed that this man had realised that he was no supporter of the Light side of the Force, but a user of the Dark side. The old man stood up, grabbed his lightsaber, and struck at Vexxus by the time the Sith Champion even had time to process this. He somehow managed to parry the strike, but was still sent into the wall. He groaned at the pain, but managed to bring a few barrels down between him and the Jedi, giving him some time to recover and escape. He ran as fast as he could, but he also didn’t know the ways through New Alderaan as a citizen would. He climbed up a building, and his, while trying to scan for ways out of the city. He couldn’t find any in his position, which would make things more difficult than they were. Vexxus huffed. He was trapped.

 

[Chewy]

Chewy was taking one of its few needed breaks from serving members of the Resistance. “Fear not, I will return shortly friends.” The mechanical cook vocabulated cheerfully to the freedom fighters inside the cantina. Their success on Raxus against the empire was still on their minds along with other varying levels of good news in recent events.

The cook droid nearly blew a gasket at the sight of two lightsabers being drawn against one another. “SITH!” He yelled. But he repeated himself again. “SITH! I see a SITH!” Their voice carried back into the bar. The knocking over of chairs and scrambling of bodies was followed by the charging of blasters. But by then the Sith had already turned and run. Eventually all of New Alderaan would likely come down on this Champion, if there was only one. Hopefully they were traveling solo.

Chewy gave chase on his legs but knew he would not be able to keep up. That was why he hopped onto a hover shopper and accelerated as fast as possible. The crisp-e-o droid was not built for combat originally but it was going to get paid by the Empire by capturing the Sith alive. Then he would use those credits to fund the Resistance. Each of its weapons were set to stun since the bounty required the target alive. But it also would save Chewy the trouble of having to worry about blaster bolts being deflected back at him. The normally concealed blaster in its torso extended and trained on the Champion's back, readying to fire once Chewy got in range.

[Vexxus]

Vexxus hid on the rooftop of the building for the next few minutes, but he noticed something strange. A droid had a blaster trained on him, but not any assassin droid, a cook droid. He had no idea what it was doing so he watched the Jedi run right past the apartment building he was on, but he knew full well this was going to go to authorities, which meant he’d get a bounty on his head. He jumped off the other side of the building and tucked and rolled. He hoped the droid didn’t see him do that. He noticed that there were less people on this side of the road, which would be an advantage and disadvantage at the same time. He entered the bar through the back door, the same one he was just trying to go in before. Maybe it has a basement, or I could just lay low in here. He thought, walking into the bar. So, he sat down in a corner and waited. And waited some more. It seemed the manager was nowhere to be found. It was better for him, and maybe he could wait for this to blow over. He sinked into the chair.

[Chewy]

The hover shopper allowed Chewy to swiftly follow the Sith suspect even when the Jedi Knight had to bypass the blockage their own way, using the Force in someway most likely. Chewy was too focused on staying on the dark sider's tail. The photoreceptors of the droid remained on Vexxus as he ascended to a rooftop and continued to relay the dark sider's location to his jedi compartiot and fellow Resistance members. New Alderaan was no friend to Sith and going anywhere public would lead to eyewitness reports. It would be very hard for him to hide anywhere there were people.

As the Sith stood on the rooftop hoping the Jedi would not notice him as he passed below, Chewy fired his blaster four times at the Sith which had the added affect of telling the Jedi where he was. Two light stun bolts were aimed at each of Vexxus's legs in the hopes to slow him down. While remaining hovering out in the air at a distance of ten meters beside the rooftop, the concealed blaster produced four blue circles that shot forth at high speed towards the Sith's lower limbs. Each was capable of light stunning effect but also allowed the droid to have little to no recoil from the weapon and be surprisingly accurate. This was not the first time the machine had used it. The Crisp-E-O donut droid was built to balance liquids and other delicacies but in this situation it allowed the machine to have perfect stability in his current situation.

"He's here!" He called out to the Jedi bellow after his first shot was fired. Just in case the glowing red lightsaber did not attract attention, but there was also a donut and coffee serving machine dishing out damage in the sky and Sith positions. Before going anywhere he would have to shake the droid.

[Vexxus]

Vexxus limped out of the bar, his feet hurting the crap out of him. He retracted his red lightsabers, hoping to draw less attention. However, a limping man with hideous armour isn’t exactly a way to keep hidden in the crowd. He watched as the crowd in bright white and gray stared at this man, who wore clothes that were considered part of the “dark arts” on New Alderaan. He grabbed a holo projector from one of the tables outside the bar, and turned it on. It showed a map of the city. After studying the map, he realised that he was nowhere near his ship, and he couldn’t get there quickly, especially not with his legs like they were. Out of the blue, he saw the Jedi sprint into the alleyway, a determined look on his face. Vexxus jumped into another road, a slimmer, darker one. He watched the Jedi continue running, and he wondered how such an old man could run so fast. He examined the crowd, who probably had the most action packed moment of their life. Vexxus knew that New Alderaan was no chaotic planet, but a more relaxed world. He backed up slowly, not watching his back. I may be safe. He thought, but he couldn’t be sure. He hadn’t seen the droid for a while, which is what feared him the most.

[Chewy]

Chewy watched with some degree of surprise as all four of his light stun bolts landed on target. Two stun bolts connected with each of Vexxus's legs without his crimson lightsaber coming between them and neither was he wearing any armor it seemed. Both of the limbs would cease functioning while the man's nervous system was sent into overdrive, hindering any further use of the Force. He would fall prone on the roof with little chance of escape. The only way he would be moving is if he dragged himself on his arms, belly crawling or using a wheel chair.

"I got him!" Chewy shouted as the Jedi and Resistance members converged on their position. The disabled limbs of the dark sider would only be a temporary effect but it would be long enough for others to come and reinforce the area. Meanwhile Chewy guided the hovershoper closer to the roof so that he could eventually step off safely.

Autohit. No defense was made to acknowledge or stop the four light blaster bolts fired from Chewy at Vexxus. Neither of Vexxu's legs work for 2-3 posting rounds and he his force use is likewise disrupted for a similar duration.

[Chewy]

The Jedi had returned and converged on Chewy’s accurately reported rooftop position. The man previously mistaken as a beggar was a capable Knight and was now reinforced by dozens of grizzled Resistance soldiers. Combat airspeeders would be scrambled overhead and provide further reinforcement shortly. In a heartbeat they joined the coffee and donut droid. With the man’s legs disabled for some time they would capitalize on stunning him a few extra times with their blasters before slapping some stun cuffs on his wrist.

Chewy walked along the roof as they secured the Champion and collected the dark sider’s possessions for himself. “I get to keep his things, I think. That’s part of the hunter’s code right?” This was going to be the crisp-e-o donut droid’s first time turning in a bounty but after nabbing a Sith he was sure to be considered a card carrying member of the Bounty Hunter’s Guild. Along with his personal belongings the droid would earn a payout of 75,000 credits. Maybe the Jedi Order would want to speak with the dark sider first.
