Need some more Force Sensitives. I'm guessing the Shamans or some Jedi would probably reside on this planet. I'm half expecting Jedi Reinforcements anyway, seeing as you know... This slaughter of NPCs must be rippling the force pretty damn badly.

But yeah, some challenging NPCing would be beautiful rather than sending us fodder to mow through for a week or two before we claim the planet.

+1 basically, well said.

I'd rather fight something then ragtag militia.

I dont know how " close" the Jedi are to the cult.. but considering in a few thousand years there is an encleave here specially for the Kel'Dor Im assuming them and jedi are at least somewhat friendly.

Matt, Weiss, those were two of the vaguest establishing posts I've ever seen.

You never specified where you guys were, who you guys were, the specifications of the shuttle, what was in the shuttle, where you guys were jumping in in relation to Dorin, etc.

I know where you guys were, I know who you guys are, I know the specifications of the shuttle, I know what is in the shuttle, and I know, basically, where you guys are jumping in-system.

Unfortunately, I'm not commanding the Hutt forces in this thread, and all that information is very pertinent stuff that would have come in very handy for them so they don't interpret your post as something completely different (a 'militarized' shuttle on Dorin, for example).

Now, I've managed to clear everything up, and, frankly, I only sided with you guys because I'd rather not see an entire operation die before it gets out of the gate. That being said, I'm not going to come to your rescue again because of ambiguity on your part. From this point on I'm going to be watching this thread with complete impartiality.

What that means is if I have to use my knowledge of the operation, which the enemy doesn't have, to correctly interpret your posts when they could be read completely differently, you guys are going to have to go with the flow of how it was interpreted.

Also, naturally this will go the same with the Hutts. If any of you guys are vague, and the opposition interprets you incorrectly, you'll have to swing with the punches.

I know my post was vague. I had read Matt's PM late after he had sent and he had logged off at the time, so I was unable to get clarification. However, for the sake of not holding back the operation since my post was needed, I went ahead and posted.

Understandable, but at the same time you need to be much more specific.

semi vague can be good tp a point. but what brent said. It would have been pretty important to specify a few of the more important things like the fact your on the brink of interstellar space etc to cover your own butts too.

sorry I've been out all day dealing with family stuff and house stuff...

The Hell?

It's fine being vague, I haven't effected the thread in anyway so it doesn't matter how vague I am until I clearly state what I am doing.

We haven't even done anything yet. lolz

I'm just getting everyone in the group together, it was a basic start up point so everyone could post that there person was ready.

Vague in the sense I haven't said I'm anywhere, I will be rp'ing everything from that point, getting into the area and doing my mission, I haven't made it vague so I can say 'I'm in the system now guys!'

That couldn't be further from the truth. You entered a 'hostile' thread without giving the enemy any contextual information; where are you, your numbers, etc. They had nothing to work with, and, seeing as the thread is a ground battle, assumed you must be on the ground, as you never stated otherwise.

They then had to edit their posts accordingly because of how vague it was. You affected every post after yours because of how vague it was.

Vagueness has its place in the RP, but it couldn't be less welcome in a battle thread where exact numbers, positions, etc. need to be stated to avoid conflict and confusion.

You wouldn't have given anything away about the plan by stating where you were, what your ship was like, etc. and it would have avoided the resulting misunderstanding that led to my original post in this OOC thread.

Rubbish, If I haven't entered the battlezone which I haven't because post doesn't say that, if I haven't done anything regarding the battle except begin to get the team together then I can post what I like within reason.

If my next post says, 'Ok, we are now on Dorin' then yes pull me up on it.

But it won't and this post was merely a post to get the team all together.

They have nothing to work with because I haven't entered there battle yet, my post doesn't say that so they shouldn't assume.

My next post will go into more detail when everyone is together, storm, hello teacup.

The post doesn't say anything, though, and that's where the confusion arose. You talk about what the shuttle looks like and that's pretty much it. If you had stated you were outside of Dorin's solar system none of this confusion would have existed.

You effectively jumped in to a thread that already had an established setting with a completely un-related post given the immediate context of the thread.

I should clarify there was nothing actually wrong with the post, it was simply incredibly vague, and that only causes trouble in a battle thread.

Well mate, I apoligize if I caused any confusion but we are going to massively disagree here so there is no point getting bogged down.

I will take it in mind for the future but my post was vague not to try and be clever, just to set the team up. Didn't realise people would take it in such a way which I find amazing.

But again, not trying to keep this going so will take it on board in regards to the future of this thread.

She reached into a comlink rigged as a detonator, pressing the button when she was a safe distance away. Behind her, the entire tank exploded from the inside, combusting and killing everyone inside. The behemoth stopped in its track, smoke billowing from it. Kal did not look back.

I apologize for the vagueness. It was partially due to lack of detail and rushing to get a post in since it sounded like everyone was waiting on me.

I have since then edited the post, adding in more details. If more needs to be added, let me know. Thanks.

Might be kinda difficult to get through the pair of battlegroups sitting in a protective net over the ground battle. Just maybe.

Hello?

[echo] hellooooooo [/echo]

Hmm, guess no one's here...Does that mean the Mando attack on Dorin is a success, since no one is resisting?

T'would be nice, we could just pack up and move on to the next stop.
