Hello?

[echo] hellooooooo [/echo]

Hmm, guess no one's here...Does that mean the Mando attack on Dorin is a success, since no one is resisting?

T'would be nice, we could just pack up and move on to the next stop.

It's looking like the ground battle is a sweeping success, but I wouldn't declare a total victory until the Republic's had a chance to try its little operation. When Adena gets back, I'll see if she wants me to pick up the slack here too.

Also just to clarify, in terms of all the battles, Adena did leave a Personal Notifications post saying she would be gone until tomorrow, so there needs to be a bit of patience from the Hutt side until she gets back. The Republic would be expected to do the same thing if it was Santoro who was away for the weekend too.

I agree to a certain extent, but this battle isn't being fought by Adena. If she had a character involved, then by all means her absence would necessitate a pause in the action. But just because a faction leader is absent doesn't mean all actions by that faction should completely stop.

No, but she's the one who can best answer questions and motivate people a little more. The same goes with Santoro with the Hutts, Sreeya with the Jedi, me with the Bogan, and any other independent faction leader with their faction. Things always slow down a little bit with factions when the faction leader is AFK, so you just need to wait a little while.

I fail to see how Adena changes anything here. The Republic hasn't posted since two days before the site went down. We don't need Adena to post, we need those actually fighting in the battle.*

I can't make people post, nor can you. I PMd Boli earlier, since he's the Secretary of Defense, but I don't know when he'll be on.

Would it be okay if I had the Hutts keep moving? The least they can do is solidify their positions and putz around a bit.

This thread -could- be completed very quickly, but the Hutt navy isn't posting and I can't make another post until a Hutt RP'er has posted with the Navy or until I'm given carte blanch from an admin/the Hutts to finish my objectives and gtfo of the thread.

If it's got nothing to do with my boys on the ground, it probably doesn't matter if you post again, they're gonna be there for a few days IC as they round up refugees and such anyway.

Many thanks, Sid. <3 I just replied - unless someone intercepts the rep fighters, I'll have them leave in my next post and we can bring this thread to a close.

EDIT: Also, as a note, I imagine it'd take about five to ten minutes for Raven Lead to actually find and plug in the data drive, plus another two or three to get to the satellite. As for Raven 3-5's location, I imagine it being it's something like this:

DORIN

-BEACON/Raven Lead ----
------------------------------Raven 3-5

Dorin is in the inner system to, and the beacons would be almost a light year ( or at least half ) out ( think a little past Pluto in our own system) so thats alot of ground to cover.

^_^

just.....watch for those potholes, those fighters were not cheep :P

I think Jiang has to worry more about potheads than potholes. You know those Hutts. They like their drugs and alcohol. It's what makes the world go round and keep the Hutts happy so they don't slaughter their own forces out of boredom. :bitchez

A little problem with the hyperspace beacon plan-

Posted on February 3rd, 2011 in the Hutt Methodology Post:

In light of the attack on the Ando System, more caution has been taken to protect Hutt space lanes. Hyperspace beacons (used to travel back and forth) have been encoded with a new Hutt operating system, compatible with all navicomputers. However, navicomputers with a Republic military subroutine or hints of military programming (frequently updated by Hutt hackers) are given false coordinates, leading them into stars, asteroid fields, Hutt Minefields, or traps.

While this scheme would hit Dorin, it wouldn't spread back to Hutt beacons due to the differences in OSes- a Windows virus won't hit a Mac. If anything, wouldn't this effect go backwards into Republic space too?

I don't see how that would have anything to do with the hypespace beacon at Dorin, considering it is neither Hutt or Republic.

I said it would effect the one at Dorin. The plan was to spread to other Hutt beacons as far as I understand, and it wouldn't.

Either I'm not understanding you, or you don't know what they're actually doing to the beacon.

EDIT: After re-reading your post, I've deduced it's the latter.
