Bimmisaari - the planet residing in the Saari Ha System, within the Halla Sector of the Mid Rim. The planet was an opportune location between Imperial and Alliance space, serving as one of the prime targets in the Sith campaign. Ideally, the conflict was between the two power nation, but the Jedi and Sith were always destined to wage war. Generals rustled about the Imperium as preparations were made, gathering their forces and organizing their troops for deployment. Above the halls of the Sith Academy, in the orbit of Korriban, a Sith Lord of the Dark Council met with his former mentor, a Sith Master and admiral of the Imperial Fleet. Oonoo the Celegian floated idly in his environmental tank mounted atop his personal assistance droid, listening as his ascended apprentice approached with a sly grin.

"The time for war has come again, my old master... It is by the Dark Lord's command that you lead the invasion fleet," the Chiss greeted warmly, the black robes seeming to billow around him. The command deck of The Impending Doom, Oonoo's flagship, was almost silent, save for the beeps and clicks of crewmen at computer consoles. Darth Vendis seemed to have a constant, light flow of energy around him, his focus with telekinesis being a continually concentrated task. Hazac wasn't surprised when Oonoo simply sat there, but his smile only widened. "You and your fleet are to clear the blockade for our ground forces," the Chiss continued aloud. A moment passed while the red eyed Sith stared at the floating brain, his grin becoming devious and sinister. 'I ask that you take my apprentice, Forlorn. She has proven to have potential, and is capable of competent tasks. She will be useful during the attack,' Vendis told Oonoo quickly, passing his words telepathically. The two shared a close bond through the Force through years of tutelage - and servitude. Their experience together had been purely through the mental link, as telepathy was Oonoo's natural form of communication. Over time, it had left an imprint on Hazac's mind, and thus formed his affinity to mental prowess in the Force.

"Of course, Lord Vendis. Forlorn will join me in the orbital assault, and treated as my own apprentice. I look forward to seeing what my granddaughter is capable of,' the Celegian replied, responding to the Chiss only when he had addressed him telepathically. It was an old exercise of theirs, where Hazac's words - or any opinion he held - would be recognized only through telepathy. Oonoo heard Hazac's orders from the Dark Council, but it was obvious that he would accept. It was a true honor to lead a battle of the Imperial Navy, but it was Oonoo's purpose to command a fleet. It was his only reason for signing his allegiance to the Emperor; he gave his loyalty to the Dark Lord for other reasons.

'She will meet your fleet in sub-hyperspace before the attack commences. I trust she'll be more or less intact by the end of the battle... Teach her, if you will. I hope in time to name her my successor, just as you did me... and for your newest interest - Arcturus,'Vendis asked, knowing that there was little time left in their meeting. He wondered how Forlorn would perform during the battle, but only time would tell. Whether she surpassed the difficulties that lied ahead, or she burned in failure, Hazac would have his answer. 'Farewell, my master. I'll see you on the other side,' Vendis said softly, his presence already beginning to fade. The Sith Lord departed from the bridge silently, vanishing as wisps of shadowy smoke seemed to hang in the air behind him. The Celegian only sat there, beginning to plan the makeup for his invasion fleet. Immediately, he knew that he would be calling upon his fleet from the Chiss Ascendancy under his command as a High Admiral. The defensive Chiss ships were unmatched in a navy battle, as their primary frigates are specialized to power their overlapping phalanx shield generators. They would be a useful asset in the forward assault of his forces, while Forlorn commanded her own ships from the other side of the battle.

Unfortunately, for the ships Oonoo required, and the the restricted number he was provided, most of his vessels would be cruisers or Star Destroyer classes. Only a single ship besides his flagship could be of the Dreadnought class, while the rest of his fleet segments were supported by carriers and Phalanx frigates. In the center, he would need some of the more powerful ships of the Imperium, but the strike assault cruisers of the Ascendancy were useful for close quarters. If the Alliance managed to get that close, the Chiss ships would save him for the lack of distance. Other than that, the defensive side of the battle would need to rely on starfighter pilots and his reinforced Battle Meditation specialty. The tactical placement of his ships would heavily rely on the Celegian's concentration, and to sustain their momentum as the attack commenced. To decide their offensive strategy, Oonoo would need to analyze Vendis's apprentice first. If she was adequate and competent enough, they could work together through a neural link and connection of apprenticeship - this was the technique he'd passed down to Hazac, and the bond he'd already begun forming with Forlorn. It wouldn't be difficult to sync their minds.

Immediately, Oonoo launched his orders to the minds of his crewmen, preparing the fleet to jump to hyperspace. Within the hour, his forces were assembled and ready, gathered upon the Celegian's command. The ships from the Chiss Ascendancy had arrived even sooner than expected, and even faster than some of his own Imperial vessels. It was commendable that the constantly patrolling fleets of the Chiss were able to react on such short notice. They were obviously prepared and ready for any mission that came up. Later, Oonoo discovered that the arriving fleet had been ordered by Kodo'ran'nuruodo, the Grand Imperator himself - and former command partner of Oonoo's. While the fleet traveled through hyperspace towards Bimmisaari, their ID signatures and sensor pings masked by basic stealth technology, Oonoo began to meditate. Soon, he would be prepared to release his concentrated efforts into a precise coordination of troops among his forces. The Celegian's Battle meditation was unmatched by many even in the Sith Order - the Galactic Alliance could not hope to make a match for what was coming.

((Kind of an exhausted post here, sorry, it is midnight for me...))
Forlorn waited while in hyperspace, anxious to arrive on Bimmisaari. Her fleet consisted only of Carriers, Corvettes, Cruisers, and Frigates with one Dreadnaught to boot. No Star Destroyers and no super star destroyers. However, even without this, Forlorn's ships were geared towards assault rather than the defensive ships the*Celegian had selected. Both fleets contained ships from the Ascendancy and the Imperium, but each fleet clearly came with a different purpose. Forlorn's being charging attack and a whole lot of starfighters. With four massive Wyvern carriers, her starfighter strength was far superior to Oonoo's.*

She sat down and folded her armored legs in the middle of the bridge, reaching out to the Celegian. She aimed to establish a telepathic bond between him and her, and was not too surprised to see him attempting the same. Within a few minutes, their minds were synced. Whether Oonoo found it interesting or not, he would straightaway sense that Forlorn's mind was mostly void. She didn't think anything unconsciously, in fact, that was impossible for her. Although the implant in her brain assisted combat and would assist here, it would not, could not, create thoughts in Forlorn's empty mind. Consciously acting, she spoke to Oonoo through the Force.
"A pleasure to meet you, master-.... Forgive me, I do not remember your name. But it will be an honor assisting you. I have heard that you taught my master, this should be interesting, yes?"

Commander Dean Ferius's fleet arrived simultaneously with Forlorn's and Oonoo's upon reaching Bimmisaari. It consisted wholely Star Destroyers and one Super Star Destroyer. Two of the Star destroyers had been gutted inside to allow for troops and a massive, ground to orbital 'defense' cannon. Once placed on the planet's surface, it'd take but half an hour and some technical adjustments to fire it upon the enemy in orbit. That was, assuming the other destroyers could protect the two gutted ones. The gutted ships still contained much of their external firepower, what was missing was the fighter bays and all shield power generators. They were gutted to make extra room for soldiers and the weapons.

The triangular position of Forlorn's fleet came out of hyperspace near to Oonoo's, ready for invasion. However, the position of Ferius's fleet came out completely different. They ended up on the other side of the planet, ready to drop soldiers and the gun. With so much firepower over there, it wouldn't be surprising if they would withstand anything and everything the GA threw at them.

Hela Blaidd and her fighter squadron, had been assigned to picket duty. It was their task to patrol as far away from Bimmisaari as was deemed safe by the GA tacticians and navy commanders. In practical terms, that meant flirting with Bimmisaari's gravity well. But that meant that they were at risk of having an invading fleet jumping in almost right on top of them. So that was why Hela kept a careful eye on her sensors, and why her heart was up in her throat. She had the proverbial bad feeling, so to speak.

So when her sensors started to -scream- at her, her heart dropped. A fleet was incoming. A huge one. "Frink!" She cursed, peeling her fighter off to avoid being instantly vapourized by the hostile ships as they translated from hyperspace and back into subspace. She continues to fire off a string of expletives as the Sith ships opens fire on them, and one of her wingmen ends up being vapourized by an unlucky turbolaser beam.

"Fighter Wing Besh to command! Repeat, Fighter Wing Besh to command! Come in, command! Enemy fleet has entered the system, at the following coordinates!" Her voice was frantic, desperate, as her small group of fighters desperately tries to put some distance between them and the approaching Sith Fleet. If they had attempted to take the fight to the invaders, they would have been destroyed quickly. Their weapons were pitifully useless against the shields and armour of Star Destroyers and anything much bigger than a bomber. And even if they had managed to avoid the thousands of blaster cannons and laser batteries, they would have been overwhelmed and outnumbered the second the Sith fleet launched their own fighter wings.

So for now, all they could do was to flee towards the Galactic Alliance lines, while the former smuggler loudly cursed the Galactic Alliance in the privacy of her own cockpit for having forced her into this position. If not for the Galactic Alliance and their drafts, she wouldn't have been in mortal peril. Instead, she would have been safely tucked away in a maximum security correctional facility on Centax I.

Grand Admiral Jeremy Preston, Supreme Commander, Allied Forces, had been inspecting the defenses on Bimmisaari when the invasion fleet was detected. He was upon the Knight, a Heroic Class destroyer.

"Fighter Wing Besh to command! Repeat, Fighter Wing Besh to command! Come in, command! Enemy fleet has entered the system, at the following coordinates!"

Jeremy turned with a small smile to the Captain. "If I may, Captain." the Captain nodded, his face pale. He walked to the Captain's chair in the CIC, and took a seat. "Somebody bring me some tapcaf. This is going to be a long day." Preston, leaned back and turned on the comm. "This is Grand Admiral Jeremy Preston, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces broadcasting to all Alliance Forces on Bimmisaari. Sith forces have arrived. Prepare to defend. Task Force Echo, prepare for jump to the following Co-Ordinates." Task Force Echo was the Knight's Task Force and included one of the Valiant class Dreadnoughts. Throughout the fleet above Bimmisaari, there was a shocked silence. But they soon complied, and were in formation to jump. Meanwhile, Preston continued issuing orders.

"Task Force Red, take your task force and engage the ships on the far side of the planet. That'll be their Main Landing force. Go for the Landing force, they can't occupy a planet without ground forces."

"All other forces, establish a line of defense and don't let those ships cross it!" with that, Task Force Echo leaped into hyperspace. They exited hyperspace five minutes later, far behind the sith fleet.

"Okay, Echo. Prime your weapons, gets your shields up and plot a jump right into the Sith fleet. Get your asses on it now!"

(using Ender's terms here for clarity, though not actually ICly thinking them. Also, going to say that Ender's Echo fleet had jumped close to us, so with our own fleets moving forward that wouldn't have taken but 3 minutes or so. This is only to get the battle moving because of the slow OOC we've had.)

Forlorn ordered her coms officers, through telepathy, to order all units to immediately charge and engage the Echo section of the GA's fleet. The thousands of advanced, Chiss fighters and bombs surged forward to engage the enemy fleet that jumped right in front of them. The powerful Chiss Hammerhead Dreadnaught leading the charge cut into the enemy with her powerful guns. The Chiss fighters, although slightly smaller, were better armed than the GA fighters. Although they could be cutting swathes through the GA, they did not. Instead, they focused on protecting the slightly slower and much heavier bombers which closed in on the GA capital ships at an alarming rate.

Forlorn had the fighter superiority in the instance of her own fleet, but being mostly carriers and assault cruisers she could not hold for long without a strong defending force to aid her. Which is where her co-leader, Oonoo, would be coming in. Or so she thought it was him. No matter who lead the other force, they would do their job in protecting her. Thankfully though, the assault cruisers, being faster and lighter, could easily charge into the enemy and draw their fire as well.

On the other side of the planet, Commander Ferius had positioned his fleet to defend against the enemy fast coming in to attack him. His massive star destroyers were already placing troops on the ground and, thankfully, had taken the Orbital Cannon down. The cannon would take a bit to assemble, but once done they would have an element in the battle to turn the tide, assuming it needed to be turned. Sadly, he had compromised placing soldiers down there in his rush to get the cannon on the ground and, as the enemy almost reached him, had just then begun sending down the platoons of soldiers. But he was not worried, in Ship-to-Ship combat he had the superiority, being as his entire standing fleet was comprised of Star Destroyers and one extremely large, 15 Kilometer long, Star Dreadnaught. While in fighters he would be slightly vulnerable, he could rely on his amazingly diverse Ship firepower to hold off the enemy until he was able to land the entirety of the invasion forces.

Xesyr's eyes had been closed. His cloak and hood shrouded him while on the bridge, but his eyes pierced through the physical universe around him, seeing the galaxy around him through the Force. But even as he did, he could still feel the rumbling of the powerful engines, the vertigo of the inertial dampeners, the incessant communication onboard the bridge as deck officers rapidly relayed real-time information across the segment fleet. And where he stood, was like the heart of the core. A near-mythical Invictus-class Dreadnought eclipsed the star of Bimmisaari like an ominous foreboding of the Imperium's indomitable will.

His eyes finally opened, glowing like fires and brimstone, golden hues with crimson streaks, but he was still seeing through the metaphysical, through the higher planes. His arms crossed as he overlooked a holographically projected map of the battlefield, observing fleet movements within the gravity well proximity. The time for war had come.. the time for battle, was now.

"Helmsmen, set a course to coordinates 1034.289.12. Set a flanking course to the enemy fleet, hard to starboard. We'll be leading the assault. Comm officer, encrypt a linear broadcast to the rest of the fleet immediately. Commodore, transmit the order of battle to the personal monitors fleet commanders and affirm reception. No mistakes. No excuses."

"At once, milord," the commodore said, echoing the sentiments of the other deck officers replying ahead of him.

"Attention segment fleet, we're approaching Alliance hostiles. Fall back and follow the battle initiative, set a course to the designated coordinates. Execute engagement formation 12.8 and press the attack on my mark."

Xesyr observed the holomap closely, noting the fighter divisions dispatched toward the Alliance fleet. With the parallel positioning of the fleet segments, it was nothing short of a symbiotic charge. The fleet moved without haste, homing in on the Alliance's far side as their ships, releasing their barrage of plasma bursts and laser cannons.

"Commodore, send my order. All vessels of the segment fleet, target hostile ships and fire at will. Direct the heavy turbolaser cannons on decks four through eleven upon targets six, nine, twelve, fifteen and thirty two with a simultaneous barrage from the ion cannon banks on decks one, three and seven. Prepare to divert all auxiliary power to forward deflector shield arrays. Arm torpedo banks and target hostiles six, seven, fifteen, twenty one and thirty two. Turbolasers on decks two, four, five, eight and ten, alternate hostile support vessels and anti-starfighter warships. Charge the point-defense laser cannons and intercept any incoming destructive projectiles. Have the two Titan-class Destroyers coming up at our port and starboard. Keep the Devastator-class Destroyers at the center of the fleet until hostile engagement, then have then await further orders. Have the Pantheon-class Destroyers mount around us in formation 286. I want a spread by the time hard contact become fully engaged. And Commodore... charge the main cannon."

At least she wasn't abandoned to the mercy of the Sith. The Alliance fleet had managed to respond and adress the incoming Sith invasion fleet. It gave her the moment regroup her fighter wing. The fighters had scrambled and scattered to avoig being taken out by the Sith guns, but now that they were back behind safe lines, the fighters of wing Besh had a precious moment to regroup, while the Alliance and Imperial fleets clashed.

"Besh leader to Fighter Wing Besh. Regroup and form up on me. We're gonna go duck hunting." Hela grinned inside her helmet. That had always been her standing orders. The majority of the fleet and it's acompanying fighter screen would engage the Sith Fleet directly, but Hela and her fighters would go after the Imperial landing party, especially their slow and bulky landers. The more she and her fellow pilots could take out, the easier a time the Alliance forces on Bimmisaari would have ousting the Sith invaders.

"Remember your sweethearts back home, and stay alive while you drag these bastards down to hell." Hela chuckled over the commlink as she and the est of Fighter Wing Besh dived down, weaving and dancing to approach the Imperial landers, their blaster cannons blazing. They flipped and dodged, moving behind the clunky landers to destroy their engines, while being safely out of range from their defensive weaponry.

((Bleh, crappy post. All I could think of.))
