Bimmisaari - the planet residing in the Saari Ha System, within the Halla Sector of the Mid Rim. The planet was an opportune location between Imperial and Alliance space, serving as one of the prime targets in the Sith campaign. Ideally, the conflict was between the two power nation, but the Jedi and Sith were always destined to wage war. Generals rustled about the Imperium as preparations were made, gathering their forces and organizing their troops for deployment. Above the halls of the Sith Academy, in the orbit of Korriban, a Sith Lord of the Dark Council met with his former mentor, a Sith Master and admiral of the Imperial Fleet. Oonoo the Celegian floated idly in his environmental tank mounted atop his personal assistance droid, listening as his ascended apprentice approached with a sly grin.
"The time for war has come again, my old master... It is by the Dark Lord's command that you lead the invasion fleet," the Chiss greeted warmly, the black robes seeming to billow around him. The command deck of The Impending Doom, Oonoo's flagship, was almost silent, save for the beeps and clicks of crewmen at computer consoles. Darth Vendis seemed to have a constant, light flow of energy around him, his focus with telekinesis being a continually concentrated task. Hazac wasn't surprised when Oonoo simply sat there, but his smile only widened. "You and your fleet are to clear the blockade for our ground forces," the Chiss continued aloud. A moment passed while the red eyed Sith stared at the floating brain, his grin becoming devious and sinister. 'I ask that you take my apprentice, Forlorn. She has proven to have potential, and is capable of competent tasks. She will be useful during the attack,' Vendis told Oonoo quickly, passing his words telepathically. The two shared a close bond through the Force through years of tutelage - and servitude. Their experience together had been purely through the mental link, as telepathy was Oonoo's natural form of communication. Over time, it had left an imprint on Hazac's mind, and thus formed his affinity to mental prowess in the Force.
"Of course, Lord Vendis. Forlorn will join me in the orbital assault, and treated as my own apprentice. I look forward to seeing what my granddaughter is capable of,' the Celegian replied, responding to the Chiss only when he had addressed him telepathically. It was an old exercise of theirs, where Hazac's words - or any opinion he held - would be recognized only through telepathy. Oonoo heard Hazac's orders from the Dark Council, but it was obvious that he would accept. It was a true honor to lead a battle of the Imperial Navy, but it was Oonoo's purpose to command a fleet. It was his only reason for signing his allegiance to the Emperor; he gave his loyalty to the Dark Lord for other reasons.
'She will meet your fleet in sub-hyperspace before the attack commences. I trust she'll be more or less intact by the end of the battle... Teach her, if you will. I hope in time to name her my successor, just as you did me... and for your newest interest - Arcturus,'Vendis asked, knowing that there was little time left in their meeting. He wondered how Forlorn would perform during the battle, but only time would tell. Whether she surpassed the difficulties that lied ahead, or she burned in failure, Hazac would have his answer. 'Farewell, my master. I'll see you on the other side,' Vendis said softly, his presence already beginning to fade. The Sith Lord departed from the bridge silently, vanishing as wisps of shadowy smoke seemed to hang in the air behind him. The Celegian only sat there, beginning to plan the makeup for his invasion fleet. Immediately, he knew that he would be calling upon his fleet from the Chiss Ascendancy under his command as a High Admiral. The defensive Chiss ships were unmatched in a navy battle, as their primary frigates are specialized to power their overlapping phalanx shield generators. They would be a useful asset in the forward assault of his forces, while Forlorn commanded her own ships from the other side of the battle.
Unfortunately, for the ships Oonoo required, and the the restricted number he was provided, most of his vessels would be cruisers or Star Destroyer classes. Only a single ship besides his flagship could be of the Dreadnought class, while the rest of his fleet segments were supported by carriers and Phalanx frigates. In the center, he would need some of the more powerful ships of the Imperium, but the strike assault cruisers of the Ascendancy were useful for close quarters. If the Alliance managed to get that close, the Chiss ships would save him for the lack of distance. Other than that, the defensive side of the battle would need to rely on starfighter pilots and his reinforced Battle Meditation specialty. The tactical placement of his ships would heavily rely on the Celegian's concentration, and to sustain their momentum as the attack commenced. To decide their offensive strategy, Oonoo would need to analyze Vendis's apprentice first. If she was adequate and competent enough, they could work together through a neural link and connection of apprenticeship - this was the technique he'd passed down to Hazac, and the bond he'd already begun forming with Forlorn. It wouldn't be difficult to sync their minds.
Immediately, Oonoo launched his orders to the minds of his crewmen, preparing the fleet to jump to hyperspace. Within the hour, his forces were assembled and ready, gathered upon the Celegian's command. The ships from the Chiss Ascendancy had arrived even sooner than expected, and even faster than some of his own Imperial vessels. It was commendable that the constantly patrolling fleets of the Chiss were able to react on such short notice. They were obviously prepared and ready for any mission that came up. Later, Oonoo discovered that the arriving fleet had been ordered by Kodo'ran'nuruodo, the Grand Imperator himself - and former command partner of Oonoo's. While the fleet traveled through hyperspace towards Bimmisaari, their ID signatures and sensor pings masked by basic stealth technology, Oonoo began to meditate. Soon, he would be prepared to release his concentrated efforts into a precise coordination of troops among his forces. The Celegian's Battle meditation was unmatched by many even in the Sith Order - the Galactic Alliance could not hope to make a match for what was coming.
