"Alright kids, let's go over some ground rules before we begin." A middle-aged Twi'lek man strode out in front of the group of Jedi with his hands clasped together behind his back. He waited for everyone to quiet down before he continued. "Keep your googles on during the game. Do not aim above the chest. Blind firing is not allowed. Moving barriers is not allowed. Shooting outside the designated areas is not allowed." He paused to take a breath and to let his words settle into their scattered little brains before he continued. "If you are eliminated, raise your paintball gun above your head and slowly make your way to the nearest exit. You are considered eliminated if you take more than one paint hit."
He continued to drone on for a little bit, then cleared his throat. "But, mostly importantly-" The man grinned cheek to cheek. "Have fun! Now, let's get you all divided into two teams. Maura, you're the birthday girl, so you'll be the red team captain. Who wants to be the blue team captain?"
Originally, Maura hadn't been sure whether or not she still felt up to the paintball game she'd planned for her birthday all those months ago. Recent events had kind of dampened her mood, but in the end, the event had already been paid for and she was glad she hadn't canceled. She'd never been paintballing, this was going to be so fun! Plus, she had to celebrate her sweet sixteen. And what better way to do that than to shoot her friends and maybe friends-to-be with little balls of colorful paint?
While she waited for the other captain to be decided, she plopped down on the ground and began to assemble the protective gear. Goggles, knee pads, and a vest. Her hair was tied back into a fluffy ponytail and stuffed under her favorite blue baseball cap. There was still a still bandage across her healing nose, but the girl was otherwise recovered from recent events.

Jedi social for Maura's 16th birthday! She has invited every padawan she knows and there is an open invitation for those she doesn't. While this is a padawan-focused social, feel free to join with your knights+ as a chaperone :))
Open to Jedi, closed to anyone else.
