Edaara saw the flaw in her plan a little too late. The crate did not blow up in Asher’s face like she thought it would, and before she could react properly it was continuing straight in her direction. She raised her saber just in time to slash it in half, the durasteel edges still hitting her shoulders, knocking her back, and creating gashes along her biceps. She gritted her teeth. She wouldn’t have much time before Asher would be on her. He must have significant control of the Force if he could redirect a crate from across an entire hangar. She did tend to start off small, some part of her automatically underestimating her opponents.

Her saber still ignited and held in front of her, she held it at the ready, prepared to fight back anything Asher sent her way.

After discussion with the team and review of Caris' post, I'm afraid there is another AutoHit in play here, @Valen Pelora . This is an excerpt from our PvP rules: Be sure to respond to all attacks against your character, even if they would miss. Attacks not addressed against your character could result in an auto-hit. This means explicitly mentioning the attack in your post. (ie. player A shoots player B, player B simply stating they rolled will not suffice, it needs to say 'rolled to avoid shots') There is no explicit mention of my force yanking on Caris' legs in your defense.

Maelibus Alpha wasn't really sure what the Jedi was trying to accomplish. Was it an attempt to move forward while providing no defense against his previous force attack? A scoff based on amusement escaped the Kaleesh' lips as he witnessed his force yank connect with purpose against his adversary. Caris' body would be lifted into the air and crashed to the ground with an unwelcoming thud. The metal hangar floor would be most painful, leaving the Jedi Warrior with subcutaneous injuries, some bruising, and likely dazed or momentarily incapacitated.

Maelibus Alpha was unopposed in his advancement towards his foe; the connection of his previous force attack meant that Caris would not be able to launch his saber slash and even if he did somehow manage to approach in proximity, the Kaleesh' lightsaber remained in a defensive position ready to block any incoming attacks. Standing approximately 3 meters away from the Jedi, dark pulsating energies that had been in preparation began to crackle and emit shards of electricity. Roaring outwards in a battle cry from hell, the Kaleesh' scream echoed through the hangar filled with sadistic pleasure and rage combined. Releasing from his fingertips was a stream of punishing force lightning, shot upon Caris' fallen body while he lay attempting to recompose from his previous injury. The lightning would be wrecked with pain and anguish, attempting to tear the Jedi asunder. @Valen Pelora

During this time, Maelibus Alpha kept his sense aware of the surrounding dangers including the positions of the other two Jedi as well as his comrades. His lightsaber continued to hold in a guarding stance, prepared to defend against anything launched in his direction.

Altair wasn’t going to die on the hill for the shoto. As a result, when he felt the resistance, he didn’t continue applying any further Force to it. However, the slight slowdown was enough to allow him time to react. The tiefling simply pivoted his body to let the shoto harmlessly fly right past him and be out of line of sight of Crix by that point, even then his matukai gloved arm held up defensively at his side in case there was any extra shenanigans with the shoto for some magical reason. The Zabrak was then focused on the attack from Asher. Unfortunately, because Altair didn’t necessarily have to break focus on the choke just to angle his body, it meant the choke had a firm grip over the Jedi’s neck. Crix chose to reinforce his grip on the shoto and also take the time to block the incoming hex bolt. As a result, the choke took a powerful hold and would begin to seriously compress and damage his throat, cutting off air.

The tiefling didn’t even allow the chance for Crix to refocus and break the choke. Instead, he doubled down on his efforts and physically threw the Zabrak across and towards Edaara who had her saber held in front of her. The intent was to slam Crix directly into the other Jedi’s saber and send them both toppling. This was all done as Crix just batted the bolt away and before he could go back to addressing the choke with a repulse. Altair continued to press down on the choke the entire time, aiming to crush the man’s neck. The tiefling only then began to take very slow steps towards the Jedi, his other hand completely free to double down on more attacks depending on what Crix or the female Jedi did.

Asher admittedly did not expect his attack to have any real effect on the Zabrak. It did have the correct intention however, which was to pull and split the Jedi's focus. Death by a thousand little pin pricks. The fallen Jedi had suffered for years, he was angry, but patient.

Keeping a watchful eye in the Mirialun. The half-Sephi noticed the Jedi managed to cut the crate apart, but not before taking a brutal hit to the shoulder. Asher would add insult to injury. Keeping his left hand and saber defensive, Asher reached out just slight with his right. Splaying his fingers before turning them to a slapping motion. Willing the force to lift the broken pieces of the crate. Casting them from the grown where they came to rest towards the upper back and shoulder of Edaara and hopefully Crix's head and shoulders as he was being tossed in the other Jedi's direction.

Since both Jedi had focused almost entirely on the pair of Sith in front of them and not the shit behind them. It would be very difficult to defend the attacks from behind. However Asher was willing and ably to abandon his control of the shrapnel if the need arose.

The shoto would pass by Altair, what became of it as it sped away out of sight and combat-capable reach of the Jedi was not something he could see. If he were not in combat he might have been able to recall it but that wasn't the case - he had more pressing concerns.

Like the pressing power around his neck growing.

His initial resistance had been weakened by his split attention and the tiefling capitalized, squeezing on him and lifting him from the ground with the strength of it. Struggling to breathe, Crix would gasp as he was able to bring all of his attention to the immediate need to not being choked and tossed across the hanger like a doll. He staggered as he fell to his feet again, having not be able to resist before being lifted but having been able to break through in time to avoid being thrown as well.

When he landed, he threw his left hand forward toward Altair in a quick use of the Force in an instinctive attempt to keep some distance while regaining his breath. He would fling a quick Force Push at Altair, aiming to stagger the tiefling to keep him from advancing quite as quickly.

As he had not been thrown into her, Edaara would not have him to worry about and Crix himself would be out of range of the attack from behind. He managed to keep both the human and the tiefling in sight but already he could see how this was going - they had made too many mistakes too quickly and the Sith had been relentless in making sure they couldn't recover properly.

Caris felt his feet fly out from under him, a moment later pain laced up and down his body. The unmistakable burning of lightening ripping flesh. His armor protected some… but not nearly enough. He convulsed in a painful pile. His eyes fighting to stay open. The last thing he saw was a trooper standing over him, dragging his body towards the landing craft.

All around him the call for a retreat was being sounded. For a brief moment, his eyes refocused. Caris frowned. He had failed Ossus twice now. Both times falling at the hand of that tiefling. Caris was a good Jedi. Caris did not brood. He was not tempted by the Darkside but today he did hate.

The pain overcame whatever semblance of control he had left as he slipped into unconsciousness. He would be loaded onto a transport to make a hasty retreat for hyperspace. Whatever plans they had to try and free Ossus utterly collapsed.

OOC: Exit upon agreement.

Edaara had barely time to recover from the searing pain on her biceps before the shards of the crate hit her from behind. She heard the calls of surrender over her coma and utter disappointment seated her more than any pain.
She had gotten knocked over from the force of the blow, but she was quick to her feet. She gave Asher a last look that was almost pitying, before darting towards the fleeing Jedi forces.
