I would be interested but my grasp on what's happening is a bit loose right now, since I've just woken up. Can someone give me a quick summary of what we, the RPers, are supposed to do?

I have an ex-imperial character available for the Legionnaries! Count me in! :D

I can throw my hat in with Defiance's Legion mercs, using my character Kintae. I could also logically use Kendra, a Jedi knight, or Tsu if the Retrade gets involved.

Is there an official character sign-up anywhere? When is the ETA of the thread itself?

Right now, the signs ups are being held back. If you notice, in the thread title, it says "teaser". The event is well on its way, but it's not here yet. This was to let everyone know and to see if it would attract interest... which obviously it did lol

Several areas of the Bowels have been added; Wülfhaven, the Deadlands, New Cauldron, and the Crypts. Get a feel for them, these (especially the Crypts) will be the battlegrounds for the freelancers.

Just pointing something out. Picture of Desdian *cough* Thane *cough* isn't showing up for whatever reason. Am I the only one? Anyhow everything looks epic as it pretty much always does when you're involved Xeno, just pointing out the picture thing.

Also any idea on when this will go down?

Droids would be fine, the EM field was to disrupt communications, transmissions and electronic interceptions and screenings. In that sense, the Deadlands are effectively off the grid. Items like comlinks, holocommunicators, tracking systems, holomapping, etc. wouldn't work - you'd be in the dark. But things like blasters, lights, speeders, droids, etc. would still work. It is a very specialized EM field since it still has to be weakened enough for the Legionnaires to operate their tech within the "safe zone" frequencies.

Good question Kiro. I was worried about this if somehow Yuri wound up in his power armor...
