[Hak Te'Jaris]

With a roll Hak dodged to the side as the beast was flailing around,but the tail of the beast struck him and sent him flying across the room.He slammed against the destroed terminals and his helmet went flying.Hak stood up,for the first time his face now visible,the sith could see the pain in his face.

"...a bacta bath will be perfect after this..." cough cough

He stood up again and rushed forward.The beast was stomping and jumping around,Cremek still on its back.Hak pulled out of his pouch a spike grenade.Hak tried to time his sprint forward,and when the beast stood still for a second,Hak spring into action.He fell into a slide and spiked the the beast's front left leg.He dogded again and with a roll he stood up again. *B O O M*
The small spike grenade exploded in a small condenced explosion creepling the leg of the beast.But the beast was enraged and looked derectly at Hak.

"Well...now its angry" and he griped his blasters tight waiting for the next attack.

[Ervius Xann]

“Let’s try not to destroy the ruins with explosion, shall we?” Ervius said with much more levity than he felt. A pebble from the ceiling fell on his shoulder, as the building shook and rumbled. “Half a ton of rampaging meat is more than enough.”

The creature weighed less than five hundred kilograms, but Ervius would take criticism if and when they emerged from the fight alive (and hopefully with their limbs intact). Sometimes, he regretted the fundamental inability of the Dark Side to provide genuine healing.

While Hak and Cremek were distracting the beast, Ervius had managed to carve two of the three runes essential for the ritual. It had an optional stabilization array of another three glyphs, but he had the feeling he and his companions would all die horribly if he went for it. Since Ervius preferred to avoid the unenviable demise in the jaws of the crazed predator, he opted for a more brutish and unrefined version of the ritual.

“Almost there!” he shouted in an attempt to cheer up his companions.

The third rune was almost complete, he only needed to feed it some more power.

[Cremek "Krayt" Candorus]

"hurry the hell up will you!?"

cremek yelled, still riding the flailing beast, digging his saber into its back in order to direct it away from his allies.

"though I must confess this is much easier than a sand dragon!"

he would cut deeper into the beast, directing it away from the ritual taking place.

it flailed more, throwing cremek onto its tail.

"YOU KRIFFING THINK!?"
he yelled, holding on for dear life.

Hak rushed in again firing his blasters gaining the attention of beast,he roled on the side as he narrowly escaped from the jaws of the beast.As he did tho he threw his gramplin hook towards its neck.The beast let oout a roar and begun flailing and jumping,though Hak used the momentum and jumped on top of the best.He crawled on it and stood upwards ,pulling the wire of his grapling hook now wraped around the beast's neck.

"I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I CAN HOLD THIS!!!" as Hak pulled with all his strenth backwards,forcing the beast to pull iys head backwards and expose its neck and upper chest area.

"HIT THIS BASTARD COME ON" yelled Hak,his face full of dirt and scratrches and turning red from the ammount of pressure he was under,and his limits were approching their limits fast.

[Ervius Xann]

The last rune glowed red, and Ervius let out a breath. He hated rushed rituals: they always had complications and relied on the sith conducting them to pick up the slack. With no other options, he took off an amulet that hung around his neck. A memento from his master, something that Ervius picked up from the man’s cooling body after their duel. He carried it with him as a reminder of his time in servitude. Foolish and sentimental of him.

Really, the trinket would make for a poor container, but there was little time to prepare it. Ervius placed it before his feet. Before starting, Ervius made sure only the beast stood within the ritual scheme: a triangle made up by the runes he had etched.

All preparations complete, Ervius launched the ritual. Lightning arched from his hands, flowing down his limbs, towards the runes and casting the entire chamber in eerie purple glow. The glyphs acted as intermediaries and arbiters, ensnaring the beast. They bent Ervius’s lightning, resonated with it, empowering the technique eight-fold. It was enough to paralyze the creature.

Its roar shook the foundations of the temples, and the Dark Side reigned in the chamber for one brief moment. The disguise Ervius wore melted away, letting the molted gold of his irises shine through. Shadows danced on the floors and up the walls, trembling with each convulsion of the powerful animal.

“Come on, beast, your new home awaits,” he bit out through gritted teeth.

This ritual had little need for incantations: it was but a primal piece of sorcery, one that relied on brute force rather than technique. Ervius had learned of it in the context of a wider ritual that it started. Alas, nobody knew the next stages, but this one would be enough for the beast in front of him.

For a moment, the animal instincts struggled against the razor-sharp malice of Ervius’s mind. The primal urge to survive pitted itself against the certainty of death. They rose to match each other in a deadly choir of the Force. The world focused into a single point. In the end, Ervius had to supply more power than he intended to silence the cacophony of the bestial instincts of his prey.

The animal collapsed, and the amulet at Ervius’s feet glowed for a moment. It sung with the same unfocused rage of the now dead beast, its essence now resting in the metal. Ervius sat down and picked up the amulet.

“Well,” he took a deep breath to steady himself. “I do hate impromptu rituals. I feel like an amateur.”

Ervius rose, swaying on his feet despite using the adjacent wall for support.

“We should hurry up and plunder the archives,” he said. “I haven’t had the time to contain the ritual, for obvious reasons. If there are Jedi in the general vicinity of the ruins, they have probably felt it.”

[Hak Te'Jaris]

Hak was laying on his back again grunting and sweating.Everything happened so fast but at least now the chamber was empty and only the three of them once again.He stood up and quickly gathered his helmet that was tossed at the corner of the room.When he went to gather it he looked up and in an indent of the archives he saw something and his heart sunk.He saw the other two were busy rameging throu the terminals so he went out of sight for a moment in that hiden pocket of the room.He found them,the lost expedition,and sure enough one was a Jedi,still gripping there saber.He closed his eyes and with a wisper,"Rest now...you are one with the Force."
After this he searching their remains as respectfully as he could,managing to find records,journals,their holovid and of course the lightsaber hilt.He pulled out a small rag from his pouch and put everything inside and covering the pouch with his desert cloak.But the rag was for the poor fellow.He covered their corpse and get it a small bow again.After that he exited the small indent and noticed that the havent even noticed him moving around.He sighed and now he looked around the working teminals to see if there was any kind of knowledge left in these ruins.
"Lets see...hmmm...this dates back quite a bit even after Revan left.Seems that this temple was quite active." He looked if there were any kind of records or dates but it seems that were only a notice of evacuation.Strange he thought but as he read threw he raised and eyebrow and connected his datapad to the terminal,downloading every inch of data that he could.Tho he tried to keep his exploration brief cause Ervius was right,Jedi might be swarming this site soon if they were around.The download was complete and he put his datapad back at his belt.His holorecorder on his helmet never stoped recording even when the helmet was knowcked off his head.He stood up and turned around to the others.
"I am done here.As Ervius said,this place will be crawling with Jedi or even New Republic and i am not in the mood for that."

“Agreed, it’s been fun, and I‘be got a murderous trinket out of it, but it’s time to bolt,” Ervius gave a nervous chuckle, as his own datapad signaled the end of the download. He looked at Hak. “I take it you have concluded your business as well.”

He wondered if the temple software would survive three complete copy and download commands, but it hardly mattered in the end. If the Jedi had not made their own copies in the millennia since the Old Sith Wars, their ignorance would be their own fault.

The dead Jedi and the cooling cadaver of the beast presented some interest as potential test subjects for alchemy. Leaving all that tissue lying around was such a waste, but Ervius felt his disguise just reassert itself. He was in no shape to fight anyone, much less whoever might come in during his attempts at harvesting anything. A prudent Sith knew when to take their victory and leave.

“What about you?” he glanced at Cremek.

[Cremek "Krayt" Candorus]

Cremek stood there.. dazed.

"I-I think that barrier did more than just scare me..."

"who are you?..."

"I'm hearing things that aren't exactly there, i'm certain it will pass."

"nevermind.. I already know you.."
"A ghost?..."
he put one of his hands to his temples.

"Do any of you hear her?.."

"you're a monster, a thing, hiding behind a mask behind a mask, looking for meaning, aren't you?"

He shook his head.

"This is what I get for rushing the process, oh well, that's fate I suppose.. Relax, it's nothing dangerous as far as I can tell, but it seems I now have a visitor.."

Hak stoped for a moment and turned to Cremek.He felt a presence in the room bit now it was confurmed.A ghost of a female figure manifested and spoke to him.Hak stood there,frozen.He had only heard rumors of these ghosts.He wispered "...so they are real..."
He snapped out of it and turned to Cremek.
"Who is she?.."

"Oh my, a partial possession," Ervius grimaced. "That's awlays tricky."

He usually put his colleagues who got possessed out of their misery. That was usually the quickest and safest resolution for everyone involved. Purging rituals were few and extremely rare. Sith cared little for medicine or anyhing that even remotely resembled it. Nobody wanted Sith ghosts possessing non-Force-sensitives. That always spelled trouble.

Killing a Sith over something like that... Well, that would be in poor taste. If the specter proved to be stronger than Cremek, they would effectively be the better Sith and thus entitled to the body.

"Shall we leave you to it?" Ervius asked Cremek. "If not, you had better hurry."

"she's a visitor, nothing more, I'm fine, Ill find a way to remove her eventually."

cremek shook his head.

"I dont even think its a half possession, like, a three percent possession, maybe less."

he sighed, they'll probably fizzle out when the connection to this place was severed, nothing to worry about.

"let's continue on, shall we?"

Hak shook his head and turned towards the door.With a quick pace he reached first the entrance of the temple as the other two followed.He stoped right before he exit and looked out side,his radar on his wrist was going off,two sigantures.He raised his hand to stop the other two and looked back out.

"New Republic patrol,three Xwings...let them pass and we are moving quickly.I dot get any readings than those three."

The three Xwings roared through the sky,but after a moment their engines became distant and Hak gesture forward

"Come on,they might do a round around."

And Hak rushed quickly outside,his desert cloak flowing in the desert wind.He reached the a shaded indent in the rocks and scanned the sky again. "Right...lets make this quick".With a click on his gauntlet he contacted R5 on the Rust Bucket. "Hey bud bring the ship around,and fast,those new republic ones might come back".R5 did a quick blurb of droid speech in affirmation.Hak begin to scale the rocks of that little hill and reached the top so he can leave quickly.The other two were followin him but not closly.The engines of the Rust Bucket roared over Hak and the loading bay door was loawers as the ship was still hovering,Hak jumping in looking back at the two sith.

"WELL ITS BEEN A PLEASURE LADS...HOPE WE DONT MEET AGAIN"

And the door closed with the Rust Bucket gaining even more altitude.Hak rushed on the cockpit and punched in some hyperspace coordinates.And with the Rust Bucket exited atmosphere and sliped into hyperspace.Hak leaned back and took a deep breath,removing his helmet he finished recording from his helmet and turned to R5.

"Someone might be intrested in this..."

[Ervius Xann]

"And that's out cue to leave," Ervius nodded at the words of a New Republic patrol. The Octano was, at the end of the day, just a fast yacht. He had no desire to submit his craft and the collection of artifacts aboard to starfighter combat. Besides, he had gotten all he wanted in the temple ruins, so why wait.

"It has certainly been interesting and productive," he told Cremek when Hak took off. "Let's do another trip some time in the future. Well, with whoever wins your body."

Leaving Cremek to his own struggles, Ervius took off towards his own ship. A quick instruction from his datapad had the ship start its engines. This expedition cut his vacation on Dantooine short, but it was exactly what Ervius needed - an impetus to continue his exploration efforts. There were many tombs and palaces to be dug out and studied.

cremek would nodd, bidding his companions farewell, before pressing onwards, he sadly did not find what he was looking for exactly, but he certainly did find something quite intriguing. so it wasn't a total failure.. mentions of a "star map".. now that was intriguing.. he sighs, before taking out his holo, word was fortress vader had been re-taken.. such a shame, he wished he could have aided, but the boy was thinking much bigger, he fiddled the holocron in his cloak, this was his chance to both make an impression, and potentially share his knowledge with the dark lord themself, should they be there, he took his findings, recorded them inside the same holocron, and booked it there immediately.
