Dilios moved his legs, and jumped to the side, seeing what she was going to do through the Force. But with mis footing, he tripped himself. His training lightsaber hit the ground, and he fell on top of it. The blade stung his upper torso. "Ah!" He rolled onto the side, and wrapped an arm around him. "Got damn it!"

As he fell, she stopped her attack and reached out a hand to help him back up.

"You're sensing my moves through the Force before following through. This is good, yet you must not lose sight of your surroundings. They can often be an aid to you when fighting. Let's try again," she encouraged.

Dilios nodded and got back to his feet. He put his right foot ahead of his left. His lightsaber was positioned in front of him, leaning to his right, it hummed as it always did. A bead of sweat made it's way down Dilios' face. Dilios jumped into the air, and pulled his blade behind him. As he came down he pulled the blade further to attack his master, the blade humming loudly.

The momentum with which he attacked caused Khaluq to struggle, arms straining from holding him at bay and blocking his attack. Bending backward in an attempt to distance herself from his blade, she felt his blade pushing in, forcing her arms toward her torso. She had to do something. Should she wait for him to withdraw his blade and take another stroke, or did she need to act now?

Pushing with her remaining strength to the right, moving his blade away, she twisted to the right, allowing him to move past her, turning quickly to regroup.

Dilios nearly fell forward as she moved to the right, forcing him to fall forward. He caught himself, and turned around. Seeing the stones on the floor from his Force training he focused on them. Feeling the smooth stone, as it rose through the air. He then made it fly towards Khaluq. While she'd be distracted with the stone, he dove at her again with his blade pointed at her, as if he were jousting.

Khaluq easily sliced through the stone, sending it's halves to clatter upon the floor as she turned to Dilos and raised a palm, strengthening the Force around him in a tight grasp, stopping him just inches away from her.

"We stop," she told him, turning off her lightsaber and turning her back upon him, not letting go of him until distance was between them both. "You prove to be more resourceful than I gave you credit for. Such an attack only those much further in their training are able to perform."

Dilios fell to the ground when his master was away from him. He deactivated his lightsaber. "I'm sorry if I got a little too much into it. I believe at one moment I was feeling a little cocky."

"Always refrain from using the Force to attack another if at all possible. Such an attack can be some of your first steps into the darkness," she warned, turning toward him, her gaze seeming somewhat stern. "You must always be in control of your actions and centered in your mind. Using the Force to bring about your own will, attacking others for your own gain when might fails, such things are discouraged."

Dilios felt bad. He didn't want the Jedi to think he was a bad person. He fell to his knees. "I'm sorry, I didn't know." He felt scared. He didn't want to be like the evil and power hungry Sith who kill each other for superiority.

"Always remember the words of the Code. They are your guide when you are uncertain," she offered in a softer voice, the sternness in her gaze dissipating a little.

"Come. Stand up and let me show you what you can do to stop an attacker. Remember how I stopped your attack?" she asked him.

Dilios got back to his feet. After dusting off his tunic, he looked at his master. "Yes, I remember."

"Good," she said, moving to one of the stones on the floor.

Picking the stone up, she placed it in his hand and looked into his eyes.

"Before you think of moving any thing, you must consider it's weight and the amount of force you will need to overcome gravity, momentum and more. The larger an object, the harder it becomes to hold an object. Carefully, weigh the stone, let it fall to the ground if you must to see how much time you have. Consider these things first and we shall move along when you are ready."

Dilios moved his hand with the stone in it up and down to estimate how much it weighs. He guessed it weighed about two pounds. Not much Force would be needed to lift this object, and he allowed it to float from his hands for a few seconds and then let fall back into his hands.

She then extended her hand, wanting him to place the stone in it. When he had done so, she looked him in the eyes and instructed him on the next exercise.

"Focus upon the stone and nothing else. Focus upon it's momentum and seek to condense the Force around it. Seek to catch it with the Force and hold it in place," she advised and then tossed the stone across the room.

Dilios closed his eyes and felt the stone. The stone was smooth, with a few microscopic holes in it. It was around two pounds and weight. The stone had gravity pulling down on it. Dilios focused and felt the stone stopping where it was, and held it there.

"Good!" she exclaimed, pleased with his progress.

"You should practice these techniques so that you can call them to be with your eyes open. You may not have the luxury of being able to keep your eyes closed. As a Jedi Knight, you will need to be able to focus upon more than one thing. Now, holding two persons at bay in this manner will still be beyond your grasp for many years to come. However, if confronted by two or three, you can eliminate fighting one as long as you hold your concentration. It will increase the odds in your favor," she said as she ignited her lightsaber again.

"Hold onto the stone, yet fight like you were fighting before," she encouraged before swinging her blade bacward and driving it across in a vicious sweep toward his abdomen. She knew he would not master this feat, yet the more he practiced, the longer he would be able to hold the stone.

Dilios opened his eyes when he heard the humming of a lightsaber. She coming toward his belly, and Dilios dodged the attack trying to hold the stone up. He activated his lightsaber and then did an underhand arc pushing his blade at Khaluq fast, but lost concentration on stone and it fell.

The blades collided with a mighty crash as padawan eyes met those of the master. Stepping back, Khaluq disengaged her lightsaber.

"We will try again. Have planned in your mind more than one move ahead of time to allow yourself more freedom to focus upon the stone, yet do not take all of your focus away. To do so will catch you unawares. This is only practice for now to build up your stamina. In time it will come easier. Prepare your attacks," she said as she moved to pick up another stone.

Meeting his gaze and making sure he was ready for it, she tossed it across the room, waiting for him to freeze it in place before charging forward again.

Dilios stopped the stone from falling with the Force, and fought against the gravity of Dantooine to hold it up. He then formed an "O" with his arms, his lightsaber behind his back and brought it down at Khaluq, and planned to an underhand arc afterwards. He could still feel the stone hovering in the air.

The flash of light and sound of the blades crashing together increased with intensity as Khaluq twisted and moved away, swiping at his left flank as she moved away from him, keeping the intensity of the battle up.
