$8 for a $60 meal is a little more than a 13% tip, if my math is right.

I will also say it was very rare for me to of been tipped when I delivered radiators, and it's still rare for my drivers to be tipped.
I assume your drivers aren't paid $5 an hour.
Wait really? And establishments still can't pay decent wages? Meals are roughly the same price here, and we pay staff like...a million times better and still make a profit. The food culture here is fantastic, so everything is like...crazy reasonably priced.
9 dollars an hour, along with driving anywhere from 1 to 40 miles to deliver a radiator to someone, which sometimes is the wrong part because the customer doesn't know what kind of car he is working on and they expect us to drive back, get the right one, and make them the first delivery stop.
So they don't make below minimum wage an rely on tips to make enough money where they don't cry themselves to sleep with a 40 of Mickey's.
I just thought it was a courteous thing to deliver a radiator to someone the day they order it and not expect them to be jackamoes. But that's a whole other story on it's own.
