Train simulator and Dead Or Alive DLC are some of the worst I've seen too.
Train Simulator is catering to a very niche market, however. The kind of people who play Train Simulator and buy the DLC are the same people who also build model train sets and dish out hundreds of dollars for individual model trains.

The only rationale I can think of for DOA5's insane pricing is they're focused on getting money from like Archneckbeards or something equally as ludicrous.

I grant you train simulator, just looking at it in bulk is fairly jarring.

I love DOA as a game series, but holy shit do they love their fan service pandering.

Yea. Most people who collect model trains are interested in a specific type of train and they're unlikely to purchase a bunch. They'll have a number of high-quality models that they focus on. Same deal with Train Simulator.

DOA has always been notorious for pandering to the lowest common denominator within their fanbase. $80 ****ing dollars for skimpy costume packs and I guarantee people dish it out.

Whatever are you talking about!

I was hoping that since Itagaki was ousted from the team that they were focusing more on the game itself and when DOA 5 was first released it had toned down a bit. Then the subsequent re-releases had only ****tupled the amount of costumes. To give small credit I would say that the male characters are getting their share of appealing costumes, but they are utterly eclipsed by the rest of the wardrobe the females have access to.

That game actually had one of the better volleyball mechanics from videogames. Not that anyone played it because of volleyball.

Also, don't forget the game was popular enough to warrant a sequel.

A sequel where they focused less on the Volleyball and more on the jiggle inducing minigames no less.

Still, surprisingly decent volleyball game. The fact all of the characters wore outfits no one would ever play beach volleyball in was definitely the focus, though...

They did end ALL pretense of being a sports game, though, with the second one. It's almost like half way through development they realized they had forgotten to make the volleyball aspect of the game.
