Ebberla Daw
Sith High Inquisitor

You're like the Moon. Sometimes, you'll see it during the day. But it is always brightest at night. When the world is dark, she illuminates it just enough for others to find a path. But she does not fear the darkness. She is as home in the evening sky, as she is in the early twilight morning. Yes, I believe that to be true of you.

Physical Attributes:
[/fancybox2]

Ebberla Daw stands a little taller than average height, has bright hazel eyes, thick dark chestnut colored hair (though will not admit she had found some grey ones), and a medium skin tone. She has two gold piercings in her forehead, the Greater and Lesser Marks of Illumination, obtained from her training from the Chalactan Adepts. Ebb is also equipped with a prosthetic right hand. The woman has found it problematic that the synthskin covering her prosthetic hand cannot match the skin tone of the rest of her arm and body when exposed to too much sunlight. However, given that it is artificial, she's more than willing to look over the cosmetic complication as it gives her an extra boost in hand strength as well as its advance neural interface allows her to feel like an organic hand.

Ebberla keeps her body in a toned physique, her own physical stamina and strength should not be doubted. The Corellian has keen reflexes, where instinct seems to take over, demonstrated when she was able to use a lightsaber without the aid of the Force as well as hold her own in fights. With the loss of her dominate right hand after her duel years ago with Darth Silentius, the Corellian continues use both hands with ease in fine and large motor tasks. Ebb also holds a scar from her Ossus duel starting from just above her left breast and stretches across her upper left arm. During her time without the Force, Ebb had shown great constitution, her body readily resistant to infection and colds, holds a high tolerance to pain, and is able to heal on a timely manner for most human females.

Though not physically visible to others, only to herself, Ebberla has color synesthesia of sounds, meaning she is able to 'see' sounds in the form of flashing patterns of color. She finds she has trouble controlling it without the Force, but even with the Force, Ebb discovered if she’s taken off guard, it willingly appears. As a Corellian, Ebberla speaks with a Corellian accent.

Lightsaber Forms:
[/fancybox2]

Ebberla is a master practitioner of Form V: Shien/Djem So and a proficient user of Form III: Soresu in order to fill holes in her defense during duels. Once a Jedi Sentinel, Daw also committed equal amounts of time to practicing her skills with the blade as she did with her abilities within the Force. Ebb is also known to combine several unorthodox fighting techniques in lightsaber combat including Trakata and Dun Moch.

Ebberla was once unable to keep a lightsaber for a certain amount of time and had an uncommon habit of losing it. Due to this occurrence, the Corellian has taken training in imbuing objects with the Force in order to counter blade offenses. She has also gained understanding in using the dual lightsaber application of Jar’kai.

Though, only using her blade when she has to, Ebberla still prefers the quick draw of her blaster to end any confrontation. Her past experiences and travels around the galaxy has lead her to believe the old phrase: Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side.

Force Powers:
[/fancybox2]

Ebberla’s greatest strength relies in her mental abilities. She has a natural adeptness to telekinesis that she had been in practice since she was a small child. She utilizes her environment to her full advantage; going beyond simple pushes and pulls, Ebberla knows size matters not. She also utilizes her telekinesis in ways of shielding and defense, able to deflect and absorb energy weapons and to protect herself from physical Force attacks. Ebberla can use mind tricks from simple persuasive nudges to tangles of complex illusions much practiced by the Fallanassi. Her psionic talents would not be possible without a heightened sense of empathy in order to generate her mental manipulations.

However, if all else fails, Ebberla has the knowledge to disable her opponents effectively, mentally and physically. Like most trained Force Sensitives, Ebberla is able to use the Force to sense others around her and determine if there is immediate danger. Ebberla has built defenses through the Force to protect her mind, training with the Chalactan Adepts and becoming one herself, she developed secure mental defenses from opposing mental manipulation and torture. She is also able to cloak herself with mind tricks and Force Immersion, either from being able to suppress her presence to that of a non-Force sensitive or to hide in the Force entirely; she can also quickly pick upon unknown languages.

The Corellian also carries the ability to mimic other presences in the Force, to which she has dubbed Mirror. After careful study of several existing Force effects and theories, Ebberla was able to use them in order to generate familiar signatures in the Force, the closer she was to the individual, the more effective the illusion created. Ebberla also gained access to Skhai’s holocron, once in the possession of former Sage Master Ashara Vashee. The Jedi gained new knowledge in the ability called Force Quake, a devastating mental attack.

Ebberla’s abilities expand past her mental talents with training such as in Force flash and Force sight. She is able to enhance her strength and agility using the Force, and has an unconscious tendency to see actions of hers and others before it happens. Ebberla has been able to detoxify her body of poisons, from simple toxins like alcohol to more devastating venom of Sith pincerbugs. She also finds Force healing enlightening and has become well diverse in the practice.

Skills:
[/fancybox2]

Hand-to-Hand Combat: Ebberla is able to hold her stance in a fight. She was trained in basic martial arts defense when she first joined the crew of smugglers. Often she finds the fight a bit of a thrill rush and has a tendency to leave bars in disarray after her short stay. During her Jedi training, Ebb continued to train in unarmed combat, she often found it came in handy on certain missions and encounters.

Dead Shot: Ebb loves her blaster, she prefers pistols over any other blaster weapon but can effectively shoot one if she needs too. Ebberla shoots with her left hand, sometimes right if needed. She has also shown proficient knowledge in the makeup of blasters as having to rewire them to make it into an effective explosive.

Drinking & Gambling: She wouldn’t be Corellian if she didn’t have a preference for liquors. Ebb also has a high tolerance for alcoholic beverages and boasts often she drunk a Zeltron under the table. Ebberla is also a talented card player. She claims she never needed to cheat and plays exclusively against the odds.

Navigator & Pilot: Her career as a smuggler gained her information into the less traveled hyperspace routes of the galaxy. She often helped navigate their freighters until she was competent enough to fly on her own. Ebb developed a love for traveling across the galaxy and is a skillful pilot as well.

Linguist: The woman has had traveled extensively across the galaxy, she picked up many common languages as well the less common spoken. As a Corellian, Ebberla is fluent in Olys Corellisi as it was often used in code and when she didn’t want anyone to understand what she was talking about. Ebb is also familiar in several trade languages such as Bocce.

Personality:
[/fancybox2]

Before her time as a Jedi, Ebberla was the type of Corellian everyone wanted to avoid. Dismissive, loud, cocky, she was quick to judge in heated situations and believed any confrontation could be resolved with a blaster. Ebb tended to also carry typical teenage arrogance at the time, her views narrow and selfish. Though as she grew, so did maturity, and her ability to take the time to listen and think also improved. With her hardships, Ebberla had a difficult time trusting others. She was taught everything had a catch, no matter the act, and loyalty was never freely given. It was a shock for her once she joined the Jedi, where much of what she believed in was flip-flopped. Because of this, for a short period of time, Ebberla remained a recluse and seemed to come off as short tempered. However, the more time she spent, the more she opened up.

Ebberla kept her Corellian boldness and fearlessness, though she did find it hard to drop long practices of recklessness and was considered too independent minded for some. Ebb’s feisty attitude is best seen when she runs out of options, where she resolves to snippy, insulting remarks, nagging, and the jeering on others to challenge her. Viewed as a maverick, it takes effort to break her spirit, she is a fierce fighter, both in words and actions. Ebb is always willing to help those in need and has done well to unlearn her views of loyalty and trust and develop a strong sense of compassion and kindness to those even not deserving of any. Those who become close to Ebberla have found she is a sweet and a kind-hearted individual. Able to be warm when she needs to, Ebberla is known to go out of her way to help her closest friends.

Patience was another trait Ebb developed while she was with the Jedi Order alongside her natural lessons in trust and loyalty. The Corellian has changed much over her time and much of it was learned through her own mistakes as well as learning to correct them. With it, it had brought her much knowledge and wisdom. Her voice is one commonly sought by others, more so than she wishes at times and has even be dubbed as chatty. As the years passed after the fall of the Alliance, Ebberla begun to settle, though still maintaining some maverick spunk, she also gained caution when she looked to make her decisions. Eventually accepting her destiny as Grand Master, the weight of responsibility failed to keep Ebberla from losing her fierceness, understanding what needed to be done, the Corelian is confident in every decision she makes for herself and the Order.

However, following the debacle on Endor, Ebberla lost much confidence in herself and the Jedi Order and relinquished her title as Grand Master. Ebberla was quick to isolate herself and shut down from any attempts of peace from her sisters and brothers of the Order. As an exile, Ebb started to turn to old habits in order to survive and to make sure her child did not suffer the strife of the galaxy; eventually leading her into the hands of the dark side and the Sith.

Biography:
[/fancybox2]

Early Troubles

Born in 980 ABY to Skywarden Jesolova Daw and Jedi Knight Rance Daw, Ebberla never had the opportunity for a stable home. Her father passed away when she was only an infant, leaving her mother overwhelmed with grief. With Force Sensitive parents, Ebberla showed very early signs of being Force Sensitive herself and often shared her mother’s feelings of sorrow and anger. It left a young Ebberla confused and angry as she was unable to cope with what she felt. As the years passed, Jesolova dived into the world of deathsticks and other drugs, leaving the child to fend for herself.

Even with her unfortunate situation, the young Corellian would find solace in learning, seeking out knowledge from whomever and where ever she could find it. Ebb enjoyed eavesdropping on Spacers as they shared their travels and even gained ownership of small holo map of local systems. Not only did the young Corellian enjoy listening to their stories, but also had a knack for picking up the different tongues Spaces spoke. Though when Ebberla was not eavesdropping on stories, she was exploring her abnormal abilities with her connection to the Force, leaving many sentients frustrated and baffled with misplaced objects and unlocked doors.

Her talents would not go unnoticed as she caught the attention of a Jedi Watchman, of who the children in the area called Grandpa Guerelle. The elder Jedi seemed to have an uncanny ability to show up when Ebb needed help and had quickly demonstrated to Ebb her abilities were something special. He showed her tricks to better control her talents as well as life lessons when she most needed them.

I recall my first real lesson on life and death. One day I came across an old spukamas. His snout was graying, very thin and looked quite sad. I sat with him for a very long time, sharing my crackers. It was starting to get late and the air grew chilly, I told him I was going home, but if he wanted to come with me, he could. And to my amazement, he did.

I made him the biggest meal I could make him and brushed his matted fur. I made him a spot on my cot for him to sleep next to me at night and in the mornings he was first to wake me up. I showed him my tricks and he showed me his. I told him my secrets and knew he wouldn’t say a word. He followed me everywhere and I gave him the name: Leof, Beloved. I had him for several weeks before he ran out the door without me one day; I decided to search for him. I spent all day looking for him and there was no sign of Leof. I returned home defeated, only to see him sitting at my door, waiting. Beat from my quest, but greatly relieved, he followed me back to my cot where I listened to him purr before we both fell asleep.

The next morning something was off, Leof didn’t wake me up. He was still curled beside me, but had passed away sometime during the night. I was devastated; I never knew I could cry so much. I didn’t know what to do for him and I wrapped him in my blanket and went outside. The old man happened to be passing by when he saw me. I didn’t need to say anything, he seemed to know what was wrong and offered to help me bury him.

I told him our story, how he was my friend, our games, his tricks, and just how much I loved him. The old man had smiled and patted my shoulder; he told me something that I would have not expected:

“Suffer not that he is gone, Ebberla, but celebrate knowing you made a difference in his life. I am more than sure Leof knew he was loved and perhaps the luckiest of all Spukamas on Corellia. If only everyone shared your compassion Ebberla, then this galaxy would be a beautiful place.”
The Opportunity

Shortly after Ebberla’s twelfth birthday, the Watchman approached Ebberla with an opportunity to join the Jedi; though skeptical of his words, Ebberla listened and accepted to go with him. Following his instruction, she waited the next day, but the elder man never showed. Ambitious, Ebb returned to the same spot several days after, but her ambition soon turned to anger and confusion as she was determined to get out of the Coronet slums. No longer carrying the patience to wait, Ebberla decided to travel to the Jedi Temple by herself, however, she quickly found she lacked the funds to travel such the distance.

Her questioning and curiousness caught the attention of a pilot by the name of Meciret, who unknown to Ebb had his hand in the slave trade. Captivated by his fast talk and promises, Ebb was willing to travel with the man, but as quick as he got her to agree to trust him, the quicker his trap was sprung to kidnap the Corellian teen. Unable to recall how she arrived in a ship hull, Ebb quickly discovered Meciret underestimated his cargo as he left her locked alone inside his ship. Recalling her door tricks, Ebberla was able to escape, but not before she overturned several crates of spice by accident and then on purpose. The Corellian failed to think of the consequences when one inhaled the airborne powder and quickly succumbed to the drug’s hallucinating effects. Though by sheer luck or the Force’s will, Ebberla found a hiding spot from Meciret as her body fought to cleanse itself of the drugs, leaving her unaccounted nights of hallucinations and visions.

After the worst of the drug’s effects seemed to pass, the Corellian girl tried her best to figure out where she was. Still confused and disorientated, Ebb continuously bumped into beings and eventually bumped into the wrong Spacer by the name of Starn Sok. Having believed the girl was trying to rob him, the Spacer decided to teach her a lesson and locked her inside a dumpster. The panicked and terror stricken Ebberla was quickly released as Starn’s story was not held well by his wife Tessna, who took a liking to Ebberla’s spunk and feistiness. Feeling guilty, Starn offered to take Ebb into his crew; if it wasn’t for the bribe of food, a starving Ebberla Daw would have chosen otherwise. Ebb quickly found a liking in the smugglers and became confident to share her story, explaining her journey to see and train as a Jedi. Believing they could help, Starn offered to take Ebberla to the Jedi Temple, but the Corellian felt more of a thrill to travel the galaxy with the smuggler gang.

Ebberla became a valuable asset for the smugglers as they carried out their jobs for the Hutts. Along with her talent for sneaking and picking up languages, Ebb also developed skills in piloting, upholding her Corellian birthright as she found her love amongst the stars. Though Ebb held many helpful skills, she also carried a typical Corellian attitude that seemed to have enhanced with her teenage hormones. Her blatant and cocky manners caused many unnecessary fights and her values became distorted as she was quick to find kindness and loyalty had a tendency to hold a catch.

As Ebb grew, so did her connection to the Force. There were many instances she could pick out lies from the truth and see a reaction before the action took place. The rarity of such instances never left Ebb bothered by it and passed them off as chance luck. Though with a particular vision, Ebberla had advised her crew not to take a job, explaining it would have ended in disaster; but with credits short, they went against her warning, costing the crew a bounty on their lives and credits they couldn’t find. Opportunity did arise to where the crew could clear their names, but the consequences left Ebberla questioning her own path.
The Jedi Path

Several days after the incident, Ebberla found herself at a crossroads, her thoughts and plans kept taking her back to the Jedi. Finally having made her decision the Corellian teen was granted a meeting with members of the Jedi Council. Her cocky and gloating demeanor was quickly chastised by the council, leaving the Corellian embarrassed; however, she was placed under the close supervision of Jedi Master Mitya Ivanovna under who she would begin her Jedi training.

Ebberla was unable to see eye to eye with her Master, their personalities clashed often and Ebb opted to train in isolation. Nevertheless, the young Corellian was amazed to find things she thought were chance luck to be powerful acts through the Force. Feats once assumed to be impossible were soon perfected as Ebberla gained discipline through lightsaber training and her manipulation of the Force. She eventually became more trusting of her Jedi allies and discovered true kindness never had a catch and there were those who had her back without selfish intentions. Ebberla would earn her title as Jedi Knight in 1,001 A.B.Y. and traveled the galaxy as a Jedi Sentinel.

Working along GA personnel, Ebb’s knowledge from her years with the Smugglers helped cut off invasive pirate rings and terminate illegal dealings by crime lords of the undergrounds residing on Coruscant and Nar Shaddaa. Having earned herself a reputation, Ebb created both allies and enemies, often challenging her beliefs and values she stood for as a Jedi of the New Jedi Order. Though Ebberla was active in working with the GA, she also committed time to studying the Force. Her interests took her to research several Force organizations such as the Fallanassi and the Chalactan Adepts, of which she earned her Greater and Lesser Marks of Illumination. When the Jedi returned to the temples, she took on her first padawan, an Alliance solider by the name of Serg Hitaru and oversaw his training until he was granted Knight, but the solider refused the offer and returned to the Alliance military. The Corellian would continue to offer knowledge and training to several Jedi including infamous Master Teline Deloi and talented duelist Knight Tristian Ambrose Dario Baptiste, who she often practiced her lightsaber skills with.

After attending a committee to renounce members of the High Council, Ebberla was tasked to travel to Bespin for a high stakes Sabacc game in which a crime lord had thrown in his entire empire. With her expertise in gambling and the criminal ring, Ebberla infiltrated the game in pursuit of winning the criminal empire for the Alliance. Followed with a series of complications, Ebberla won the competition and was rewarded with the title of Jedi Master shortly after returning from the mission.

A Changing Galaxy

With the declaration of War, the Alliance had called the Jedi to the front lines of war and Ebberla was one Jedi of many who answered. The Jedi Master traveled to Saleucami with her trusted Knight and friend Tristian Baptiste where the Sith held full assault on the system. The battle was a demonstration of the incompetence of the Alliance and Jedi as they quickly lost their hold on the world. Never signaling a planetary retreat, Master Daw and her troops were abandoned, facing all odds of not surviving. Ebberla chose to surrender to prevent unnecessary bloodshed; she knew the risks, but accepted them as Darth Umbra accepted her surrender. The Jedi and her troops were returned to Coruscant only after the Jedi Master was subjected to torture by the Sith Lord.

A wounded and worn Ebberla met with Sage Master Jhon Cordatus, delivering a message she held from the Darth. Jhon’s words held some reassurance for Ebberla and though she was still pained to what happened, the Corellian was quick to bounce back into action and the Jedi in her resilience was regarded as a Jedi Hero by those who served with her. After an unusual encounter with a peculiar Sith, Ebberla quickly returned to the core when tragedy hit the Coruscant Temple. The annihilation of the Coruscant Temple had left the Council chairs empty; though after the vigil, Jhon Cordatus appointed Ebberla to serve in his former chair. Reluctant and slightly overwhelmed, the Corellian did accept the offer and became the Order’s newest Sage Master. Still youthful in her wisdom, Ebberla found serving as Sage Master very challenging, but continued to guide and teach in the ways of the Force. Ebberla’s restlessness was quite apparent as she did not stick to the core worlds like most on the Council.

Ebberla returned to Tython where she and the council were called to an unusual meeting by the missing Grand Master Jhon Cordatus, who revealed the Skywalker bloodline was still in existence. Though not too certain about the information, Ebberla and the council promised to keep Jhon’s secret and returned to their duties. As events seemed to have quieted, it was never a dull moment for the Corellian Councilor, as she would encounter a feline named Delun Alda, who returned to the temple in an attempt to rescue his partner-in-crime, Jedi Master Christian Noble. Ebberla would later participate in an artifact recovery mission to Ossus with Master Starfall and Jedi Knight Donnely, but were intercepted by a Sith Task force. With Knight Donnely killed, Master Starfall and Ebberla were captured in battle and brought before the Empress. Realizing she carried the information about the Skywalker baby, Ebberla took drastic measures to safeguard her thoughts and extinguished access to them completely. Though the Empress never discovered Ebberla’s treachery, it did not spare the Sage Master from the woman’s cruelty and torture as Andraste stripped the Sage Master of the Force.

The Sith Prisoner

Broken and beaten with no time to heal and her Force signature no longer recognizable, Ebberla did not hold any hope of anyone coming to find her, but would hold to her word to the Empress she would return to the Jedi one day. After subjected to several rounds of torture by the Sith, Ebberla was placed under the tutelage of Darth Silentius, who begun to teach Ebberla in the ways of the dark side and the Sith. Darth Silentius took Ebb across the galaxy in attempt to further break her of her Jedi ideals, exposing her to the atrocities of Sentients who undermined the authority of the Alliance and the Jedi. Ebb was not convinced to drop everything she believed with the Jedi, but it did start to open her eyes to the argument.

The Jedi and Sith became stranded on an isolated world in the Outer Rim; while there Darth Silentius tested Ebberla, pushing her limits until she ultimately accepted his teachings. Ebberla was determined to survive and begun to discover both strengths and weaknesses of the Jedi and the Sith. Though skeptical of her own abilities without the Force, Ebb had come to find she was quite capable of holding her own with any task she was handed. In a year’s time, the Corellian grew close to her Sith Keeper and understood him as an individual, forming a bond with one of the most feared Sith in the galaxy. It was in this time Darth Silentius had released Ebberla, who confused by his actions, refused to leave him, but eventually concluded they followed different paths and set off on their ways.

Ord Mantell was still far from the Imperial boarder, leaving Ebberla with little options and a lot of room for mistake. Planning to return to Corellia, the former Jedi had begun seeking informants and smugglers to help her on her journey home. In her search, however, she did not expect to encounter Jhon Cordatus, who, due to her bad memories, thought was still the Grand Master of the NJO. Their alleyway visit was less than pleasant as Jhon was able to trick Ebberla into believing he had fallen to the dark side under the identity of Darth Vitium. Jhon in his act, opened Ebberla’s eyes to her own suffering, convincing the Corellian woman to return to the Order.

Her Bittersweet Return

Forceless and exhausted, Ebberla returned to Empress Teta to meet with the Jedi Council and the Sage Master Skhai Baatch. Her jumbled memories as to who she was made her return uneasy, but seeing Skhai brought her a sense of peace as she recollected what happened between the Empress and herself. Curious to know if she would have been able to touch the Force again, Skhai took it upon herself to help Ebberla reestablish her connection, allowing the Corellian feel and explore the Force as she once did untainted by the light or the dark. However, Skhai would offer Ebberla a new path to explore, one of a Warden. The offer was tempting for the young Master, but decided she would need more time to think as she set off to get a new prosthetic from Jedi Knight Fyston Sutsgy and relearn her connection to the Force.

The Corellian Master’s bond to Darth Silentilus was still strong as she used it to track down her dark lover to express her feelings for the Sith assassin. Taken aback by her feelings, the Sith didn’t deny them either as the two decided to continue their dangerous affair, knowing if exposed, it could mean treason, especially for Ebb. With Ebberla’s inability to decipher her memories, she faced the discriminate rumors about herself and her time with the Sith, including inside the ranks of the Jedi; it had started to tear at the woman, leaving her to question the Order and even herself in their ignorance. Deciding she needed some time away, Ebberla visited with Prime Envoy Gracelyn Maier on her family’s beach resort. The time away did the Corellian good, with her thoughts cleared and renewed, Ebb sought out Noetikon Dalharil for advice on what to do about her affair with the Darth. Master Dalharil’s words were comforting and reassuring for Ebberla as the former Jedi Master had once been in a similar situation; their meeting concluded with Ebb joining the Wardens.

Ebberla’s duties as Watchman called for her to investigate Knight Della Frey after going missing for an extended period of time. She further got to know the Jedi during a Girl’s Night at Skhai’s apartment and developed a bond with the Snamreg Jedi. It wasn’t too soon afterwards Ebberla was called to her Jedi duties as she helped Gracelyn Maier and old friend, Delun Alda, to track down a Kushari mercenary named Koyla, who was wanted for the murder of Gracelyn’s Master, Christian Noble. The evening of her return from the mission, her senses were invaded by a familiar presence. Thaed had showed up to Empress Teta to force Ebberla to reveal their relationship. Flustered and uncertain how to continue to hide her feelings, Ebberla admitted to loving the Sith, but was able to chase Thaed away before more Jedi showed up. Her presence was immediately requested by Grand Master Vaininkainen who discussed the incident with the Jedi Master, leaving her more furious with herself, Thaed, and the Order.

Frustrated and alone, Ebberla took to immersing herself in her studies as she practice relentless with the Force and her lightsaber, rebuilding her strength after her inability to use the Force for as long as she had. After Master Vaalki’s confrontation with Ebberla, the Corellian was finding it harder to win her struggle with the Dark Side. After Skhai’s death hit the holonet, Ebberla delved into her investigation to take her mind of everything else. Ebb coerced Dal into revealing the reason why Skhai left the Order, their discussion lead Ebb to discover why her memories where missing as the story of the Skywalker child was revealed. With the information that was revealed to the Jedi, Ebberla decided it wasn’t safe for the noetikon to be at the temples, and in her quick thinking and wit, Ebberla exchanged crystals with a datacron, keeping the noetikon safe in case the worst would ever happen at the temple.

Early one morning, Ebberla received a message from a family on Corellia, claiming to be the relatives of Ebberla Daw; leaving the Jedi weary, Ebb asked Della to join as they learned more about who and what had happened to her family. Their quest lead them to meeting with a Jedi Hunter and the Hutts, and helping Ebberla’s mother escape from the Hutts, but it wasn’t without trouble. To get her mind off of what happened between her, her mother, and Della, Ebberla accepted a mission to infiltrate a pirate ring. The mission quickly turned sour as slip up in communications that forced the Jedi Master to flee; pursued by pirates, Thaed was quick to intervene and help. Annoyed he was even there in the first place, Ebb decided it was her opportunity to cut her ties with the Sith Lord. Knowing their bond could never be severed, the Corellian knew it was for the best if they kept their distance.

The break-up crushed her, and Della Frey tired to cheer up the Corellian by taking her exploring through the forests of Empress Teta. The two retired for the evening to the Corellian’s quarters where Ebb was able to liquor up the Snamreg, who proceeded to try to convince Ebberla to break into the archives. Instead of getting into trouble with the Grand Master again, Ebberla instead invited Della to the forbidden archives, showing off some of the Jedi’s most precious and dangerous artifacts. The two came across Sable’s books and unaware of the book’s cruse, they were quickly drawn into Sable’s power. Ebb confronted her darker self, engaging in battle. The battle revealed her suffering and instead of defeating her darkness, she accepted her, allowing the Corellian to find balance in her path of healing and break the book’s spell on her.

A Crumbling Alliance

There was unrest among the Jedi as the war wore on them, rumors of Jedi Separatists in the outer rim reached the Watchman’s ears and did her duty to investigate. Her presence was easily recognized and while she voiced her opinion against the idea, where it was not well received. Stubborn in their beliefs, the Separatists failed to see the bigger picture and Ebb knew they would not be persuaded, taking her leave once the meeting concluded. Ebb’s return to the temple was greeted with a secret message from Skhai Baatch asking her to retrieve the Catchhawk. However, she assigned the task to Jedi Knight Kiro Haas due other obligations she could not ignore.

In the days to come, Ebberla met with Delun Alda, catching up on their lives before Ebb turned to discussing Jedi business. The Corellian saw the value in Delun’s technical skills and asked for his help in designing new materials for the Order to use as she looked to re-establish the Order’s Jedi Shadow. Though to her luck, their meeting turned ominous as Delun’s past caught up with him, but Ebb was more than willing to help her good friend. After the Jedi recovered from her injuries, she met with the CEO of Estarra Party Limited, Jack Tamblyn, in order to further negotiate deals to help the Jedi Order. After having heard about the absurd offer, Ebb decided to take matters into her own hands, giving the Crime Lord a firm warning before sending him on his way. After the meeting, Ebberla met with Jedi Knight Arrika Mar and assigned her to infiltrated Tamblyn’s criminal underworld, the Ona’bak Retrade.

Ebberla received the call back to the core as the Mandalorian and Imperial forces invaded Bentraal. The Alliance begun their tactical retreats of major worlds and the Corellian was assigned to patrols in the Anaxes system, helping the Jedi and Alliance withdraw just in the nick of time before the Mandaloarians showed up. As the Order prepared for a full invasion, Ebberla sought advice from Dal about restoring her memories, however even Dal’s encourage, Ebb was reluctant to restore her memories in fear of what she truly held. Unable to continue to endure the unknown, Ebberla did so, revealing her technique for masking her thoughts and memories and was able to recall everything she had thought she had long forgotten.

The battles carried through the lands of Tython, from the temple to the plains and gardens, the dark side poured through the lands. The numbers were against them as the Jedi took a massive and deadly hit. Ebberla was confronted by a powerful Sith Lord, but there was no use in saving the temple, the Force was being torn apart and Ebberla along with the other surviving Jedi retreated from Tython, pushing them to Coruscant. Though as dire things had became, it only had gotten worst for the Light sided warriors as the Grand Master would decide for the NJO to pull their support from the Alliance. Branded as traitors, many in the Order stayed on Coruscant to fight, but during a final vigil, Ebberla would first hand observe the infighting that was fracturing an Order.

The Shattering of an Order

The Sith were quick to make their final blow at Coruscant, Ebberla was one of the many who lead the defense at the Jedi Temple. After received no confirmation from the Jedi who were sent to overwrite the Jedi Archives, Ebberla decided to go investigate. The temple swarming with Sith and their armies, made it difficult for the Jedi Master, but not impossible for her to reach the archives and begun erasing data. Though her presence would not go unnoticed as she was left to deal with a Sith Master; trapped in the archives with the Sith, Ebb quickly discovered the Jedi Archives was the destination for an incoming fireball of ship debris. Sparing the Sith Master's life, Ebb rescued her enemy and herself and perused to continue on fighting in the battle of Coruscant.

As the fighting had continued, Ebberla pressed onward until she was hit with a concussion in the Force, nearly stopping her and her surrounding allies as they would come to realize the Grand Master was murdered. The realization that Order had been shattered, the Sith pressed on with aggressive delight, Ebberla had felt something else, a gentle pull of a subtle whisper, leaving her more annoyed than curious as she tried to focus in battle. Eventually the evacuation came as the Force was twisted by the Empress’ hunger, Coruscant was dying and Ebberla did not intend to die with it. As the Corellian tried to leave herself, her sensors picked up an isolated presence of one who she did not expect to be on the planet: Jhon Cordatus. She believed the old master had lost his mind, but the better of her was able to get him to her ship and off Coruscant.

The destruction of Coruscant rippled through the Force for days. A sudden shift in balance left the Corellian woman uneasy as she stayed at the Warden’s headquarters, a long forgotten temple on the icy world of Ando Prime. No meditation could calm her mind as the screams would return as soon as sought for the silence of peace. She could feel their deaths as her remorse, guilt and pain coursed through her veins. Ebberla knew she could not stay behind and do nothing, not after she had worked so hard to gain everything she had once lost.

Following her feelings, Ebberla was quick to leave Ando Prime and returned to the battlefield. Her return was less than accepting by the former Alliance citizens as they fought the spreading Imperial influence. The damage done at Coruscant had tarnished the Jedi reputation; the Jedi were everyone’s enemy and Ebberla understood the appeal to hide in exile. Her own thoughts toyed with the idea of doing the same, just until things quieted. However, her pull to rejoin the battle was something larger, something she couldn’t yet touch or see, but Ebberla could certainly feel it. Her own curiosity refused to ignore it and the Jedi Master did what she needed to do to push onward.

An Order Lost

Imperial forces pushed resistance fighting further into the core and left the Jedi Master to touch down on Fedalle. Ebberla to laid low on the industrious world, trying to blend in with the populace until she was approached by a small group of Jedi who banded together shortly after Coruscant’s fall. Ebberla didn’t intend to stay long with the Fedallean Jedi, but as the days passed, Ebb was convinced she needed to leave Fedalle quickly. The Corellian had kept to herself mostly, discovering the group had lost their way, blinded on a path clouded by the Dark Side that was choking the galaxy. When it became too dangerous for her to remain among them, Ebberla decided it was time to leave, but took with a young Force sensitive by the name of Ao, who developed a liking to the Corellian during her stay. In secret, Ebb left with Ao, invisible to the senses as they escaped from Fedalle and continued their search for other Jedi.

To find any signs of surviving Jedi was becoming difficult for the Master and her new padawan learner. The Sith had bounties placed on the Jedi that were too rich to be passed up. Ebb and Ao traveled across the systems, picking up any rumors of Jedi activity as they evaded Jedi Hunters. However, all Ebberla could sense was the dire and hopelessness as the galaxy was engulfed in ominous desires. Ebberla returned to Ando Prime, where her padawan could undergo Jedi studies safely while she cleared her thoughts. The Jedi Master knew her efforts to find Jedi would not be wasted.

After their short stay on Ando, Ebb and Ao visited Cularin, where the secret Jedi Enclave was rumored to have been built during the war. Though their discovery was a success, Ebberla and Ao were turned away by the Enclave’s guardian, Master Aswedu’den. The Twi’lek Master believed too many Jedi resided at the temple, feeding into the paranoia that Jedi Hunters will discover their location. Ebb was left disappointed, but not hopeless. Even with the little information Master Aswedu’den could provide about scattered Jedi Sects, he confirmed the Light of the Force did not fall as the Imperium reported it had. Intending to warm their cold trail, Ebberla headed to the Outer Rim to start her search, far from the darkness that gripped the core and far from the Hunters that looked to end them.

Ebb’s talents as a Sentinel came in handy as she was able to shake down informants for Jedi rumors. She would get her fair share of undesirable information and traps, but in 1,015 ABY, Ebberla was thrilled as she gained a promising lead on the location of the Jedi Flagship. However, as excited as she was, it would not prepare her for when she arrived at Anoth. There was something cold and fitting to see the broken world and the remnants of the broken Order that resided there.

Though stunned, Ebb had never felt a more welcoming return. A renewed sense of hope and purpose sparked within Ebb as she was welcomed back by friends and former padawans. She worked closely with Jedi Master Juno Armstrong, who steered the Jedi to Anoth, keeping them safe in the years that had passed. The two worked together to form a plan to bring together more of the Jedi Sects and issued task teams to search for other Jedi who were lost after Coruscant’s fall. Their efforts were successful as the Anoth Jedi scoured the galaxy for nearly a year; each Jedi that returned brought an even greater sense of hope and vigor for Ebberla.

In 1,017 ABY, Master Daw and Master Armstrong called for a Master’s council at the refitted base on Anoth in order to discuss the current state of the Order and the galaxy at large. Many Jedi from different Sects attended the meeting as well as those from the growing Orders of Dark Jedi. Though the meeting would start off calm and collected, the infiltrated Dark Siders had easily turned the meeting into chaos as feelings of discontent and anger filled the minds of vulnerable Jedi. The unsuspecting Masters were quickly cut down before Ebberla and others jumped to the defense. The Dark Jedi attack did more than take the lives of several Jedi, it was enough to break the trust entirely between the Jedi Sects. The surviving Jedi, including Ebberla, left the meeting knowing they were worse off than before.

Finding the separated Jedi Sects proved increasingly difficult as many cut ties in response to the Dark Jedi attack. Ebberla was persistent, but hopeful and dispatched several task teams across the galaxy to track down the missing Jedi once again. Many within the Anoth Sect were eager to help Ebberla, sharing the same beliefs and aspirations for a united Order. Ebb believed in overcoming the fears the Dark Jedi and Sith had planted, not only in the Jedi, but also in the citizens who had begun to fall for the propaganda the Imperium released against members of the Jedi Order. Though with news of the rise of the Hutt Cartel, Master Daw felt a new eagerness to push for something more than united Sects, but for an united Jedi Order.

Lighting the Way

The Corellian had travelled to some of the remote regions of the galaxy to find Jedi. Though reluctant, Ebberla sought out former Grand Master, Master Jhon Cordatus her journey, who she valued his knowledge in the Force. Ebb’s enthusiasm and optimism was no match for Jhon turning her away. Undeniable agitated, Ebberla was forced to return to Anoth where she further discussion to reinstate the Jedi Shadows and expand upon Master Armstrong’s Operation Tailwind. After convincing Skhai to return to the Jedi with her, Ebberla visited Master Larik Novan of the Arbran Jedi. Together, Ebberla worked with Larik to expand on Operation Tailwind and reinstate the Jedi Shadows, enlisting both Jedi and civilians alike to help.

Things were moving smoothly for Master Daw and the Jedi Sects, however, in 1020 ABY, the Cularin Enclave was attacked by the Sith Imperium. Along with many others in the Order, Ebberla was devastated as she watched the annihilation on the Holo. Unlike many others, Ebb found it as way to sway many more sets to join her and the other Jedi in an united front. Her argument was convincing to the lost Jedi sects, the more united they were, the more they could help one another. With the new mindset it wasn’t long before the Jedi were able to successfully keep ahead of the Sith Imperium. The Jedi were doing well, the Sects looked more towards helping others, especially when news of the Duros Genocide and the Rebels on Manaan.

Ebberla strongly urged fro the sects not to leave again, but didn’t stop them from doing what they believed what was right. Regardless of members loss, many continued to join and in 1021 ABY, Ebberla called for another Master’s council, their purpose to discuss reinstating a formal Jedi Council. Many Jedi joined for the meeting on Arbra, however, the tension, if not more still, was apparent from the last meeting held. Many were in attendance as they discussed the future of the New Jedi Order and proceeded with rebuilding a Jedi Council. Argument, mediation, and meditation went on for days as the Masters brought up anything and everything that had bothered them about one another and the Order. However, as the days went on, there was less arguing and more agreeing and in the end, Ebberla became Grand Master of the New Jedi Order.

In 1022 ABY, Ebberla called her first convocation located on Bakura. Knowing the risk of brining together so many in the Order in one location, she believed it was essential to continue to weave the Order closer together. In her speech to the Order, she declared themselves as Peacekeepers once more as they will try to regain their status in the galaxy and against the Sith Imperium.

Gear:

Wrist-link: The woman's comm device, conveniently worn on the wrist.

Utility belt: Ebberla’s belt is made from neo-leather and has a polished metal buckle. The utility belt consists of a blaster holster, a latch to hold her lightsaber and several compartments for her gear.

Emergency Beacon: Disguised as a round, ruby belt buckle ornament, this device allows for Ebb to transmit an encoded emergency signal back to the Jedi. Attached to the buckle by a powerful magnet, it may only detach by simultaneously pressing two side buttons. The beacon can be activated by either the Force or pressing a button on the underside of the device. With its magnetic abilities, it also allows the Corellian to the device to ships.

Grappling Spike Launcher: Carried in a compartment on her belt, the grappling allows for Ebb to travel greater heights without the reliance on Force abilities.

Image-caster: Unique in its hexagonal shape and fits into the palm of her hand, Ebb’s image caster holds necessary holomaps and images needed for missions and journeys. Ebberla carries the imagecaster in a back compartment on her belt.

Blaster Pistol: Ebberla’s preferred weapon, the Jedi does not carry a perfence for one blaster pistol or another. Her current pistol is modeled after the SE-14, and holds a scope.

Lightsaber: The Corellian's lightsaber hilt is 29 centimeters in length, not including the emitter shroud which adds an extended 4 centimeters to the hilt’s overall length. The base hilt is crafted from a lanthanide alloy, with its auxiliary and decorative components, such as the emitter shroud, are crafted from bronzium. The lightsaber has been modified to accommodate the capacity for a dual phase variant as well as equipped with the bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse. The blade reaches the average length of a little over a meter, however a second switch allows for an extension to 2.5 meters. The lightsaber’s blade is powered by a synthetic crystal, giving the Jedi a magenta hued blade.

Darth Silentius' Lightsaber: Entrusted to her by her Husband, Ebb has taken special measures to ensure she keeps the saber safe. The hilt is of Sith design and its inner crystal is clearly aligned with Thaed and the dark side of the Force. Even though it's of opposite alignment of the Jedi, Ebb still claims she can hear its whispers and is able to work in synch with the weapon.

Field Clothing: Ebberla is often seen wearing what most consider smuggling attire outside the temples. Her attire consists of a lightweight armorweave top, leather gloves, dark green ruana; chemical resistant boots, and her brown pants decorated with her Corellian Bloodstripe. On and off, Ebb could be seen wearing a leather jacket with her attire. Ebberla’s left boot also carries a special pouch that holds a dismantled lightsaber, allowing for the woman conceal her weapon from prying eyes; otherwise, she keeps her lightsaber out of sight.

Ebberla has refurbished astromech droid called R9-N7. Arnine for short, the droid assists the Jedi in piloting her craft as well as other technical requests that may require a second hand. After being rebuilt by Jedi techs, the droid’s snippy attitude was less desired. Deciding to scrap the astromech droid, Ebberla offered to take Arnine believing they were over-exaggerating, however, as the Corellian would soon find there was no exaggeration. By the time Ebb decided to take the droid back, it had taken a liking to the Jedi and Ebberla decided she would keep it around for a little while longer.
