Thanks! So what are the major predictions. I can start a strawpoll or something if there's enough interest.

Jeb Bush in the primary (gave money to his PAC), and Jeb Bush in the general (will give more money to his PAC).

My suspicion is most here will vote for Hillary Cinton.

I'd like to see a female candidate and see how they do, but I'm not digging Clinton.

But I assume she'll be picked regardless, simply for her gender anyways. Which isn't bad within itself. It's new and edgy, much like what most Americans would like to see these days on the level of the surface.

Yeah it kinda is though. Selecting her just because she's a woman is as bad as having selected Obama just because he's black.

Oh wait most people did do that.

Guess you're right then.

Yeah... I'd vote for Bush over Clinton. Even though I'll feel dirty about it. I might create a straw poll so we could see what people think.

Edit: Straw Poll http://strawpoll.me/4191413

Is there a site you guys know of that provides preferably non partisan information about the candidates that plan to run in the primaries and perhaps the independent/third party candidates as well? I've been looking for myself but i'd much rather defer to anyone who has more experience with getting this info.

Generally speaking, finding a non-biased source is very difficult. I would just try to read into their political careers and past tendencies.

Might sound like I'm joking but sadly, the US media aren't exactly known for their quote/unquote journalism (i.e. opinion-less). At least Jon will gun for anyone, I guess. Also, CNN America has got Anderson Cooper (and that's pretty much it). Not really sure how much of 360 will actually translate actually looking into candidates, though. CNN International has got a few others, namely Cristiane Amanpour and, with a little luck, Richard Quest.

MSNBC is considered a democratic channel, and you can always tune in to FOX News for your republican needs and "THERE'S A WAR ON CHRISTMAS!" shenanigans.

Hope I helped.

Jon Stewart is a conformist faux-rebel. He's also hardly "neutral" between the two factions, but then the Democrats and the Republicans are hardly that different in any case.

As far as "non-biased" sources, there is no such thing. Read what you like and make up your own mind what the truth is.

If it winds up Clinton-Bush, I'm throwin' away my vote on Jill Stein or some other no shot-er.

If you're on the left-side of things, there's a good argument to be made for voting Jeb Bush, IMVHO.

Very well put, o Dickless Queen. (sounded a bit cynical, I know, but it really wasn't)

You are right. Stewart is not neutral. Don't think he's ever really hidden the which candidate he's leaned towards (at least for a good decade or so), but I don't believe the show is partisan, per se. Political commentary is, by nature, opinionated. That's why it's commentary. There are, however, 2 reasons I mentioned him. The former being the fact that he's never really considered himself "News", even though that is what they do, some of the time, which is the exact opposite of most pro-republican/democratic venues, in which partisan-based political Commentary is branded as News.
And the latter being that the Daily Show will actively display critical errors in candidates, regardless of their party or the show's opinion on the person. A true skeptic (the character he plays, at least) whose show revolves around debunking the not-so-white lies every politician hauls around.

Me being the kind of guy that chooses to vote for a person rather than a party, I enjoy knowing the kind of stunts they've pulled and, like you've stated, draw my conclusions from it. Voting in someone because you're told to ultimately defeats the purpose in having freedom to choose. No matter who it is you defer to.

These be my 2 cents, anyhow. Take them as you will.

Jeb Bush has the distinction of being the only Republican governor of Florida to be elected consecutively. Also he has a nice card he could pull, an interracial family. His wife is Hispanic.

Really? I'd probably do what most of the country does and simply not vote. :P

It's not like there's a chance for a third party candidate to really matter, outside of costing one of the two main parties the election by splitting the vote. Cause both the reps and the dems got about 40% of the population locked in their voter base, so yeah, no real chance to win without one of the parties losing all their supporters.

I'll probably not vote at all, or at least vote for the Libertarian party, if there even is one. None of the canidates, Rep. or Dem. are in my interest

Looking forward to 4 more years of news anchors saying, "In other news, President Bush said..."
