Availability: Limited.
Modularity: Internal parts; Engine upgrades and tuning; Weapon upgrades. (With Engineers)
Composition: Titanium and CNT Polymer frame, Durasteel, Ultrachrome and Reinforced Duraplast body.
Description:
Original development by the Misriah Development Arsenal Industry the F/A-23E was built as a potential successor to the F/A-19, the companies most successful fighter so far. It was built to function as a advanced multirole fighter with space superiority in mind, bringing heavy firepower into a fight with high mobility and speed. The offensive weapons of the F/A-23E are many, being armed with a set of beam cannons, ion cannons, internal micro-missile launchers and nine hard points for additional armaments and missiles. With the option to upgrade the ships weaponry with a next generation particle beam gun, and a swiveling/rotating beam cannon turret. The F/A-23E features an unusual four-engine design that mounts four, high mobility boosters upon the main wings. A single FF-3011/C engine on the F/A-23E produces slightly inferior thrust to that of the F/A-19 FF-3001A engine, but the total of four engines in the F/A-23E can produce overall thrust that exceeds the F/A-19.

By far the most impressive capability of the F/A-23E is the fighters amazing operational versatility. The F/A-23E is designed for multipurpose deployment as fighter craft, attack craft, fighter/bomber, reconnaissance and command/control craft for unmanned combat aerial vehicles (Ghost fighters). The F/A-23E achieves success in these varied operational roles by exchanging modules, which allow different pilots to utilize the mission specific characteristics of the customized F/A-23E unavailable in the standard model. Despite all these remarkable advantages, the F/A-23E unfortunately suffers from a high prize tag that has made the fighter unsuitable for mass production.

You seriously gotta explain some of this stuff, mate.

Active stealth. What does that entail? Does it make him harder to spot on sensors, or does it make him ACTUALLY invisible, which is next to impossible, and requires the EXTREMELY rare styggian crystals?

Also, pin-point barrier system: What? Is this a shield technology? In which case, you can remove the military grade shielding entry. Most CRUISERS don't even carry two seperate shield generators, nevermind an Interceptor, which is in general quite small and designed for speed and firepower.

Also, you can't claim that this ship is an Interceptor, and then say it's designed to be multi-purpose. Interceptors are, as said, quite specialized ships. Going for speed and firepower over durability, sensor suites, etc. etc. Just state that it's a -multipurpose fighter-, rather than an Interceptor or a Space Superiority Fighter, again a totally different beast.

And then, the power. With those guns, a reasonable hyperdrive, active stealth (?) and double shields (?), how the Fraggle Rock does it get all this power?

Also, energy converting armour? Do you have any canon precedent for this? Otherwise, I think you'll have to write a seperate tech entry for that in order to get that approved.

To answer the first question. No, the ship does not turn invisisble, just makes it a whole lot harder to spot on sensors and alike.

Second question. The pin-point barrier system is borrowed from another another universe of sort, added it because I could at the begnining. Though it is going to be removed because it serves little to no prupose.

Third question. I messed up the description quite misserably and I will correct that.

Fourth question. The most demanding weapons are optional, they will not be mounted on the ship at all times. As for the power system it get's it's power from Six FF-3011/C Stage II thermonuclear reaction turbine engines.

Fith question. Also something that I borrowed from another universe, the idea is to use surplus energy to enchance the armor. If that is going to be kept or not, I havn't decided yet. If the admins decide that it should not be there, I will remove it.

If you mean "energy absorbing" the way I think you do, then that's a no; an equivalent does not exist in canon and I'm not inclined to pass one. This is what shields are for, brah, no need to make up something when a technology already exists for it. For the record, the stealth sensors you're mentioning are called sensor jammers, a canon tech which takes many forms. Just place that there, and you're good to go.

What he is saying about the shield is that any power that is produced from the shield generators can be routed to the shields as extra protection. If I am wrong then please say so.

You are quite mistaken Malno, the idea of energy converting armor is that surplus energy from the ships power source is used to strengthen the ships hull structure, nothing else then that.

And alright Xeno, i'll just edit in Sensor Jammer instead of the Active Stealth Antena System.

Just out of curiosity, why is Full Stealth almost impossible? We're what.. 1000 ABY? If I recall a man by the name of GOTO had an invisible Yacht 2000 years BBY.. If the materials are rare I understand, but other than that I'd imagine full invisibility would be more than probable especially when it's in the creative process in reality.

Saw he didn't plan on going outright invisible, just a curiosity of my own.

Think star trek. They polarized their armor or something, since they didn't have shields.

Not what I was thinking, didn't even know about them doing that. I was thinking of the Energy Conversion Armor on the Valkyries from the Macross universe, but I suppose that the way you describe it is sort of the same way they do it in Macross.

Star Trek does too have energy shielding. It's much more prominent than it is in Star Wars, as their energy shielding inhibits them from doing certain things.

Should I have? There is no reason for me to watch it as I hold no interest for the franchise.

My comment wasn't aimed at you. But, yes, yes you should. It was an awesome movie, I highly recommend it.

Yeah, that's what I figured.

G0-T0 was a droid, and even then he did not have full invisibility. His ship was fully invisible to sensor detection, which is how no one was able to find him. It was sensor deflection, not cloaking.

Now cloaking does still exist. But due to the abundance over millenniums of harvesting the materials needed, said minerals became extremely scarce and are considered a precious resource. To a marginal degree, they do still exist, but by and large, cloaking technology is restricted to the militaries of major galactic powers.

Anyways, well done Nir! Approved.

Not to mention said resource is also considered a brilliant lightsaber crystal for a Dark Sider.
