Valek gave a nod, noticing that there was some concern in Quentell's face, most likely not wanting to injure his new student. He then listened on what he would soon accomplish, and what Quentell just did as he moved an object without much stress. He obviously had this down for quite awhile. Once he saw this act, and heard he will learn this without thinking it, Valek gave another nod that he understood.

"Alright then... tell me." he said.

"Where do your skills lie? What are you good at? I don't mean the Force, but I mean pratical skills, like swordfighting, merchantile, piloting..."

"I make weapons. The factory where I took you too was where I construct swords and firearms, though only of the Slugthrower variety. As well as making them, I am also quite capable of wielding them in the heat of battle with keen precision. You could say I know electronical devices as well, fixing and slicing them and the like."

The factory that he worked at belonged to his late Father and his Father, and was also the one who taught him how to use the blade and the gun. Valek learned them quickly, and when he lost his path sometime in his life, he used it for his own needs as a mercenary. He also needed to learn how to operate the machinery in the factory if he was to keep it running.

Quentell listened and thought. He had seen Valek's marksman skills and he was impressed. He also mentioned that he was a good swordsman.

"So, you're a warrior." Quentell said with a smile, but very serious. "A warrior, like me. Good marksman skills, and you say you are also good at swordfighting. That is important, because you will handle a lightsaber. Now you understand the basics of telekinesis, I would like to do a little sparring match with training sabers."

He moved over to a small box and grabbed two training sabers out of it. "These aren't lethal at all and will not do much damage. I would like you to improvise. Duel with me, and use the style you would use in any other swordfight."

He handed the training saber over to Valek.

"Do you have any questions before we get started?"

A Lightsaber. That was a weapon Valek knew of but was never able to construct one himself. He lacked the instructions on how to build one and some of the crucial parts needed, not to mention skill to wield one. He accepted the training saber as he held the handle in his gloved hand, looking over it slightly. It felt slightly heavy, as if it was just a sword handle with all the needed parts tightened together inside.

"Only one. Am I to build my own lightsaber when the time comes later?"

Quentell nodded. "Yes, you will build your own lightsaber near the end of the training." he said.

He then ignited his training saber and looked at Valek. "Now, lets do a little sparring match. Like I said, improvise. You do not need to use a specific form now."

He waited for Valek to make the first move.

Nodding, Valek gripped the handle like he would his long sword as he pressed his thumb onto the activation button and activated the saber, watching as the beam shot out of the handle and formed the laser. All the weight felt like it was in the handle, which meant this would prove... different then it would wielding a sword. Doing his best, he took two steps towards Quentell and swung the saber towards his head.

Quentell quickly brought up his own saber and blocked Valek's strike.

"Feels odd, doesn't it? As you can feel, the weight's only in the handle. The lightsaber isn't just a sword like any other. It's a unique weapon. Good strike though, but you'll have to be faster."

He then slashed with his saber towards Valek's left leg. He went for a direct strike, to see if Valek was able to block it.

Valek actually had to take a step back as he saw Quentell's saber go towards his left leg. Moving his saber infront of his leg, his training saber was slammed into by Quentell's at the last minute. This would take some getting used too. Trying to maintain the thought on how this weapon was wielded, He managed to thrust Quentell's blade away as he thrusted his saber straight towards his Master's chest area.

Quentell quickly pulled up his lightsaber to block Valek's strike. From this, he could tell that Valek was quite a good swordsman indeed.

"If I was a split second later you would have hit me. Good work. You still have to get used to the lightsaber, I see, but still a good move. Now, show me some more."

Quentell stepped back and waited for another strike.

The weight of this weapon was something else, and Valek decided he needed to get a little creative. Taking a step back as he gripped the handle with both hands, he suddenly ran rather quickly at Quentell, his saber raised as it came slamming down vertically towards his master.

Quentell brough up his lightsaber and held it horizontally to block Valek's attack. There was a flash as the two blades collided.

Quentell pushed Valek back, by pushing with his saber against his and then went for a powerful slash aimed for Valek's right shoulder.

Valek held his saber up half way vertically as Quentell's saber clashed with Valek's. The attack was blocked, but due to Valek's novice skill with the lightsaber, he felt his own blade pushed back slightly towards him when it was struck by Quentell's, the blade delivering a shock to his right shoulder where Quentell was intentionally aiming form. Feeling the small pain in his shoulder sparked something in Valek, and it forced him to do the unpredictable. He was told to fight how he would, and that is what he did when his right foot left the ground and performed a quick sweep toward's Quentell's legs in an attempt to knock him down while the sabers were still locked.

Quentell had not seen this coming and he dropped to the floor. However, he quickly jumped up and took a defensive pose. He looked at Valek and smiled.

"Very good. This is what I call dueling. Your lightsaber isn't your only weapon. You can kick to surprise your opponent, maybe even punch his face. You can use Force powers, which you'll learn later on, or you can even draw a blaster and start firing. Be creative while dueling, be smart. Also, becareful you don't get hit by your own saber blade, for if these were real ones, well... Believe me, that would hurt."

He took a few steps back and deactivated his training saber. "Well done, Valek." he said. "In a real fight, as soon as you gain the upper hand, try to defeat your enemy. Kill if you must, but we prefer to just knock them out. Your lightsaber is a very powerful and obvious solution to problems, but remember to only use it when you really must."

He put down his training saber on a small table and decided it was time for something new. "We'll do some more dueling later on, but I think it's time to go on to the next part of the training, but before we do so, do you have any questions? Maybe suggestions? Requests, things you want to learn? If any, please tell me now."

"Only one."

Valek deactivated his training saber, letting the handle rest in his gloved right hand. He soon no longer felt the shock in his arm, letting Quentell's advice on the difference between these and the real ones soak into his head.

"Do the Shade Knights, this organization, hope to achieve something that the Jedi or the Ospion have or cannot? Aside from not devoting yourself to one side of The Force, what is it that The Shade Order ultimately seeks?"

"What the order seeks?" Quentell repeated the question. "We indeed seek balance between the Dark Side and the Light Side. We also want to bring an end to this insane war with a victory for democracy. We don't like dictatorship. That's what we, as an order, see as our goal. But it matters more, what you seek. You, as a person. What is it that you ultimately seek, Valek? You don't have to answer me, for it might be personal and you want to keep it to yourself, but if you do want to answer, you may now."

"I... do not know. I thought I should do what I was good at, which involved killing others, destroying things, and steeling; all for money. But no matter how much I accomplished, it never made me feel any different. That all changed when I met you on Corellia. I will most likely find what it is that I seek during my time with this Order. But I have talked enough for now and should continue on with the training, if you allow it so."

Quentell nodded. "Alright Valek. It's no shame you don't know your personal goal. In time, you will find out what it is. You will."

He then walked over to the door of the room.

"For the next part of the training, let us go outside, for we don't have enough space here. It's force power training. So if your headache becomes a trouble again, please tell me."

He showed Valek the way and after passing through a few corridors they stood outside of the enclave. On a field. To the west of the field were a few rocks. On top of the highest rock, one could overlook the whole enclave and the area around it.

"Here's where I usually go with my students, to teach them Force Powers like Force Speed and Force Jump. As you can imagine, the training room is too small to practise those powers."

"Do you think you can call upon the Force, like you did back in the training room? If you think you can't do it yet, we will meditate some more here and I will teach you how. For me, open air helps me to meditate better. If I'm in a peaceful area of course. I often go outside to meditate in the forest, for it has some peaceful areas. This here is quite peaceful as well because not many other students or knights come here."

"I believe I can, I feel a little more in touch with it after moving that box."

Valek looked down to his right hand as he gripped it tight into a fist once before releasing his hand into an open palm. He was somewhat faint, but he could feel some sort of energy around his hand now, as if it was some unknown magic waiting to be casted. He knew what it really was though, and he was now going to learn how to use it on his own being...

"Good." Quentell said. "To begin with, you should be aware of the two sides of the Force. The Dark Side and the Light Side. Tell me, what do you think the Dark Side and the Light Side are about?"
