I dropped a bomb of an insult on a girl in high school that my friend dated (I didn't know they were ex's)

He thought it was so funny, we've been best friends ever since.

Beginning of High School. Met him in the library, had a chat about nerd shit, then found out he got off at the same stop as me. The rest is history.

How I meet a few of my friends:
"Josh" I met him in 6th grade, I just move here. First day of school 6th grade and I pick on him. Later after school he was on my bus and I sat near him. We started talking and we became friends.
"Justin" He younger brother of Josh by 3 years. I met him though Josh. He way cooler then his bro.
"Tim" He know Josh long before I. He move away then move back. One day he got on the bus at a stop. When I first met him he and I did not like each other but we got stuck in a class together and started talking and we'll friends.
Other friends are people I met though Josh, Tim or on the school bus at the time.

Sadly he's right. People change, people grow apart, circumstances make friendship impractical, et cetera.

I had one best friend for a solid fifteen years or so. He had to move away last year, but we had been getting less close anyway. Met him on my very first day of kindergarten and we just hit it off in whatever way kindergarteners hit it off.
