So this website has been getting on my nerves for a while now and I was hoping somebody could give me some advise... I keep running into issues with threads dieing or people having no interest in the threads I have started... I understand people like Miranda (my padawan's Master) have RL issues, but that doesn't help the second issue of interest... can somebody help?

I have started a shatterpoint thread for people to learn it or start learning it and it only has 11 views... If anybody is interested in that please let me know...

Trust me, you're not the only one facing these issues. I find it better to be persistent on getting people to post and what not. Otherwise, I'd go do some other things that aren't so important within the forum to keep yourself occupied. Building relations with other characters is a good idea.

Ah well I didn't even see it sorry. I would gladly join but ah would a padawan be able to know shatterpoint let alone help others learn it?

And whenever you make a thread send me an invite, I try to do as many social threads with Matsu for building and can't do everything with Xyrael and Natise.

Being persistent is good. Reminders are your friend. From what I've noticed a few times is not that people purposely don't post, usually, but they don't because either they don't realize it's their turn or believe some else is suppose to post before them.

Or they're online at midnight and all the unread threads suddenly retag themselves as read, and you completely miss any new posts. Happens to me routinely.

Another thing you might want to try is not posting threads without a core network of RPers you often RP with who are absolutely willing and able to go into a thread you create. You could spend a lot of time in other threads by other people in order to build networks and friendships with other RPers. Without those relationships, it makes it difficult for a newer user to attract interest to their threads.

That's not something anyone can change. It just is what it is, but that's at least one suggestion for how to deal with it.

I don't have "issues" per se, it's called working full-time + PhD. :'( I'm completely swamped atm but I'll try and get posting as much as I can when it's physically and mentally possible for me to do so! It's not that I don't care or am not interested, on the contrary I wish I wasn't so swamped so that I could RP all the time! Hopefully after the first round of the assessment period is finished I'll be able to be more active. My sincerest apologies if you feel I am neglecting you :( . I think all the advice that has been given here is really helpful!! Miss you all xoxox
