Which do you guys prefer? The respectable-looking glasses, or the weird little pieces of plastic you put on your eye?

Today I tried contacts for the first time, and they're a pain in the ass to put in and take out. Glasses, however, can be slipped on in less than a second.

I wear contacts. It takes a bit of practice to be able to put them in, but once you figured out how to put them on (and, for hard lens users, without the lenses being irritating while they're on), it's a breeze. I don't even need a mirror for visual aid.

Glasses.

I have no eye problems but I'd wear them if I could.

Some people look sexy in glasses. Others would do well to get contacts.

My eyes are perfect so I never have to face such questions. ^.^

Contacts. By a long shot. A first, contacts were a real pain in the arse to put in, but after a little bit, they get easy to put in. They seem to just jump in your eye. But glasses.... They really suck to wear. Sure, they come on and off really easily, but the nosepads can irritate your nose, the lenses need to be constantly cleaned, the frame sits very obtrusively in your field of vision... In short, with contact lenses, I feel normal, whereas if I wear glasses, I look really dorky and really off-putting.

Some people can sell the "glasses" look, but not many. Oh, and just for the record, contacts aren't plastic- they're silicone. =)

I have never tried contacts and have just stuck with my glasses. Honestly I don't even realize i'm wearing them unless I am tired and go to rub my eyes.

Not for me. Your nosepads might've just been too tight. And you don't have to clean your contacts? That just dpends on what frame you have. Mine stays out of the way just fine.

Fine then, you have little fake boobs covering your eyes. :CStern:

I had the same problem with mine, and I agree with Ares that cleaning your contacts is no where near as annoying as cleaning your glasses, especially if you get a lot of excercise and sweat a lot. I also don't like the fact that whenever I go into a new environment, lets say... getting out of the air conditioned car and into the hot parking lot, my glasses would always fog up for a few minutes. My vote is still for contacts.

Glasses 100%. For one glasses are cool, really suit me and make me look smarter just by wearing them. Add to that that I am short-sighted and I was told NOT to wear my glasses when doing theings up close like reading and working on a computer but are required to wear them for things like driving and watching TV, taking contacts in and out everyon 5 minutes would drive me insane!!!

I use glasses but for the most part, I don't really need them as I'm short sighted and I could easily do most things without them.

I only where my glasses when I need to see something in detail more than 10 feet away. Chalkboards, movies, etc.

I don't need either.

But if I ever did, I'd use contacts generally, glasses to appear smart/badass, depending on the situation/glasses.
