Tap. Tap. Tap "Work darn it." A holo of a young Chiss springs to life. "Finally, its about time this thing started to work. Anyways, my name is Gratha'aro'nuruodo, although most people just call me Aaron. The year is 1,023 ABY, ten years after the Sith Imperium defeated the Galactic Alliance, and eight years after they left my people to rot and deteriorate. Kriffin' scum. But that's beside the point, this a log of my life, a journal perhaps. Let me highlight the basic and most important things that you ought to be aware of me.

At the age of thirteen I was admitted to the Thrawn Academy on Rhigar. I would remain there for the next five years, studying and training to become an officer of the Chiss military. At the age of eighteen I graduated from the academy and was admitted into the CEDF. It would be two years later that I saw my first active battle at Endor. I didn't fight at the wreckage of the Death Star or the Pride of Tarlandia, but I did have my share of kills. It was there that the left side of my face was burned. A thermal detonator had gone off, I was far enough away that it wasn't lethal, but I was close enough to be burned by it. My time in the bacta tanks didn't help and I'm left with these scars. I could have had surgery to restore my face to normal, but I wear them with pride, pride that I had fought for my people.

That was the only battle I would serve in, the Galactic Alliance would fall soon after at the hands of the Mandalorians and Imperials. My people had spent trillions of credits in the war effort helping the Sith. Eventually we had to take out loans from the Hutt Cartel and then we had no choice but to default on it, the Hutts took the fleet that we had built using the loaned money. Then, with nothing to contribute to the Imperial war machine, the Sith Imperium cut their ties with us. We were left with a collapsing economy and not even a second thought after all we had done to help them. The holo of the Chiss disappears, the recording incomplete.
