I don't think Reach is going to be all that great. Without the Chief it ain't the same.
Wait, I thought there were lots of Spartans at Reach? So won't there be lots of Master-Chief like characters runing around?

people arent exactly interested in these types of games anymore unless they do something drastic with the multiplayer and make it more COD Modern warfare 2 / Battlefield Bad company 2 like

Halo 3 was huge when it came out, millions of players. I'd say people are still interested.

Yeah but people like to play a game and have something to achieve. Halo games are getting bland in the Multiplayer department, we might have seen Bungies greatness come and go with Halo 2 being with the Multiplayer they set up, it changed the industry. Now they just are milking a dying cow.

The Halo Universe is huge, they could make an unlock system that would be really cool, and Reach would be a great game to do it with with the story that surrounds it. Each Spartan was great at individual traits, the Masterchief was a leader/tactician/all around bad ass. Whereas others were great scouts/snipers or demolitions experts. Be cool if they combined a BF:BC2 with a Modern Warfare 2 ranking system, or just use the Bad Company one they have to unlock different guns and gadgets for your respective class kind of how Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is. Game has a lot of potential, problem is Bungie wont use it and it will just be another Halo 3 with better graphics and some new levels.

Well they are adding to it, such as the assassinations and the jet packs....so you can't say it will just be another Halo 3 with better graphics.

What? Bungie never had anything to do with Tribes. That was Sierra Entertainment, which went under two years ago.

Unless you mean they should buy the license and make a brand new Bungie-Tribes game.

I know they had nothing to do with each other, but Tribes was a good franchise, and Bungie could do a good job.

I figure we can use this for the Halo Reach thread, but look what was posted on Halo Waypoint. There are once more three editions of this Halo game.

The special editions come in two formats: Good and Better. I mean, Limited Edition and Legendary Edition. According to the press release, the editions will contain the following:

Halo: Reach – Limited Edition
In addition to the game disc and manual, the Limited edition includes:
• Game disc housed in recovered ONI ”black box”
• An exclusive Elite armour set for use in multiplayer modes
• Artifact bag containing Dr. Halsey’s personal journal and other classified documents and effects that unravel long held secrets from the “Halo” universe

Halo: Reach – Legendary Edition
The complete “Halo: Reach” collection. In addition to the game disc, manual, and the complete contents of the Limited edition, the Legendary edition includes:
• Noble Team statue expertly crafted by the artisans at McFarlane Toys. Individually molded, hand-painted and individually numbered, this statue is a must-have for any serious “Halo” fan
• UNSC-themed custom packaging
• An exclusive multiplayer Spartan armour effect
Video of it's contents

The Limited Edition will cost $79.99 US and the Legendary Edition will go for $149.99 US. Also don’t forget, if you hung on to your copy of Halo 3: ODST, the Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta begins on May 3rd!

Anyone who spends $150US on an exhausted franchise need to be institutionalized.

Lame, Id love special elite armour. But im not going to pay extra for the game. XP

Overall though, Im worried about a decent amount of things that I heard about the multiplayer of this game.I hope that they arent as game breaking as they sound, because I simply dont want another modern warefare 2 type of thing that begs me to use it.

I played it an hour or so before the servers seemed to crash- pretty fun. The melee is kind of annoying (in a different position), but it's just a matter of getting used to.

Hit me up if you want to play. JediDan04

DMR is overpowered as expected, and the asr is still a piece of shit. No surprises really. To me it feels a lot like Halo 3. just... better.

You're high. I've gotten three times the kills with the assault rifle than the DMR- it's my favorite weapon.

Meh, no headshot bonus. And I havent not shot someone in the head yet. :/. ASR just kills too slowly for me. Ive found it useless in every halo so far though. Ecspecially with damage not carrying over from shields to health from melees, so if I nail a melee I can insta kill even if I dont feel like bxb.(Which unfortunately is back in reach.) The game feels too easy overall xp.

The grenade thing is super gay though, do you agree with that?

The AR was a pretty bomb weapon in both Halo 1 and 3. Are you on crack, or were you just never too good at holding the trigger down while your reticle follows a target? That space between shotgun and BR range was perfect for the AR in Halo 3, for example.

Yeah I used to be bomb with the AR in Halo as well. Had a program to make your xbox think it was system linking with other xbox's over your computer and played it like Xbox Live.

Was great fun, and I got more kills with the AR than the Pistol, just have to burst fire in Halo 1 and it'll rape guys.

Lol, I just never saw a reason to use it when the pistol and the br both had faster kill rates. And why the **** would you use the asr in Halo CE? The pistol killed people in three shots. XP. The smg does more damage in halo 3 and can be dual wielded. The asr has no redeeming feature unless you fire it in perfect bursts for the bonus headshot damage that only exists on the first shot. XP. ASR has horribly shot range to do efficient damage, and any br user or pistol user will simply walk backwards if you're dumb enough to rush them. And if it comes down to melee, you always lose.

Its probably why mlg players refuse to wield them, and everyone with high kill levels stays with the br/ pistol.
