Okay, so I read a 'fair' portion of the general guide-threads or whatever, but now I'd like to hear it in real-time so to speak. Does anyone have any basic tips of how one should embark on this new journey that is SWRP? I mean, beyond the character creation and whatnot.

All I can say is just join a thread to see how things go. From there, you can better understand how factions might work and how the game progresses. You basically need some in game experience first. [Brand]

Once you get your character up sign up in their respective Faction sign-up threads (usually in the OOC Board or Information Board). If you're trying for a Force user faction you'll need to be selected by a master, who will train you to Knighthood. In the military this is not required, and you can immediately jump into the action.

OPEN threads are there for you to pop into, ASK threads you must talk to the starter, and CLOSED threads are not for you.

Overall, it takes a little getting used to, but feel free to PM me with any questions, and stick around. The site has good people and a great writer base from which to draw from, and if you find the right people to write with you'll enjoy your stay. :)
