The Harringta space station; a nuetral ground that doesn't float any world. It simply makes its own path in the galaxy. It was where Jainee usually found herself before being found by the Jedi, delivering supplies and making trades for the republic. It was a nuetral trade zone for both the republic and the Hutts. For Jainee and her crew, it was a chance to spend some well earned credits on trinkets that were exotic and not found anywhere else.

The Harriot, Jainee's freighter, docked carefully to one of the millions of open ports on the station, getting ready to allow Jainee and her crew to enter. Jainee cut off the engines and walked out of the cockpit with her first mate, Kellyn, by her side. "This is supposed to be an easy delivery, right? Just some food and other sorts of goodies," Jainee asked. She was given a small break from her training as a Jedi to rest. Her idea of rest, though, was sailing through the galaxy with her crew.

"Yup. We're supposed to be getting a huge payout from this job, Cap'n," Kellyn responded. Jainee's blue tail flicked with excitement at the idea. When Kellyn said they were to expect a large payout, it meant very close to seven digits. Jainee couldn't help but smile at the thought.

"Captain, you know the ship engines need a tune-up, right?" said a young human boy. It was Jack, the ships' mechanical officer. Jainee nodded to him, having heard the same thing fifty thousand times over. Jack groaned and followed her. "So can't we have an inspection crew on this station come in and install the parts we need? I can't do it alone, and I do kinda want to relax this trip," he complained.

"Knock yourself out, Jack," Jainee said with a smile as she handed him a few thousand credits. Jack jumped up and yelled like a little girl, running back from where he came and into the station. Jainee giggled. "He's such a riot," she said. Kellyn agreed.

When they finally got to the boarding ramp that lead onto the station, the whole crew was waiting for Kellyn and her. Jainee inspected them all; Jack, Iroht, a fellow amaran who was the ships' hyperspace engineer, Chase, a female Twi'Lek who was the ships' medical officer, Adyle, another human male who was also a medic, Jarod and Kyler, male Twi'Lek twins who were also mechanics, Haren, a female human who was their navigator, R4-CE, an astromech droid who performed many functions in the ships' mainframes and performed system diagnostics, C1-4KE, a humanoid droid that served as Jainee's off-ship representative when it came to negotiations, and finally, Kellyn, Jainee's first mate who was another fellow female amaran.

"We all know our job here; to deliver supplies to this station and avoid aggressive negotiations. We can expect a very large payout from this job, so let's just have the officers of this station pick up their cargo and have some fun. You all have one galactic week and then be back to the ship for departure. Don't spend all of your money, and have a good time," Jainee said with a cute smile. The crew cheered and hurried off the ship until it was just Jainee and Kellyn left. "Okay, Kellyn, let's make sure they get their load," Jainee said as she walked into the beautiful entrance to the station. Kellyn nodded and followed. The men were waiting their for her, datapads in hand to inspect the goods. Jainee was expecting an easy trip, but carried her lightsaber just in case.

((OOC: Feel free to join, anyone. This can be a violent thread, but is preferred if it isn't. The crew are NPC's, but I do not want them killed as they are important to Jainee. Other than that, feel free to throw yourself in :CSly))

((OOC: Seems like a fun thread, so here I am =) ))

Sometimes, things just don't work out the way you want them to work out. It was a lesson Koran Mak had learned a long time ago, and he'd learned it the hard way. These days he was usually prepared for trouble, but this time (he needed to refuel his ship or else he'd be stuck somewhere in the endless empty space) he was just lucky to come across a space station. If he didn't find the station when he did, he'd be in some real trouble. Then he'd have to contact his CARD friends and he'd have to wait a loooong time before they'd finally be able to pick him up.

He made it to the station's hangar and he was very happy about it. After docking his ship, he walked out of the cockpit. He went to his sleeping quarters and picked up his backpack. In the backpack he carried some additional supplies, some extra energy cells for his heavy blaster pistol and some food. He snatched his black jacket off the bed and put it on, over the pink shirt he was wearing.

Yes, pink.

It was a shirt he'd borrowed from Sonam, because he didn't have many shirts at the moment. He wore blue combat trousers and a utility belt. On his right hip, in a holster, sat his heavy blaster pistol. He also had a comlink on his belt as well as some extra ammo clips. His lightsaber was clipped to his belt, but he'd conceal it before heading out the ship. Just in case.

The Kiffar swung the backpack over his shoulder. As he walked towards the exit of his ship he unclipped his saber and tucked it away in one of the pockets inside his jacket. If there were any Jedi Hunters on that station, he didn't want them to think he was a Jedi. Of course he'd be able to utterly devastate them by simply lifting a finger, but he wanted to avoid that. It wouldn't exactly help the situation if he got involved with a murder, even if it was self-defense.

He sauntered down the boarding ramp of his ship, into the docking bay. A dock worker approached him. 'Hello, traveler,' the Twi'lek male said. 'Welcome to the station. You'll have to pay a docking fee if you want to stay here. That's because—'

'—I know,' Koran said with a smile. He quickly looked around, and then focused his attention on the dock worker again. He waved with his hand and said: 'I can stay here for free. You will refuel my ship for free.'

As if hypnotized the dock worker said: 'You can stay here for free. I will refuel your ship for free.'

'Why, thank you,' Koran said. 'I'll return here shortly, but I'll just take a look around at the station.'

'Very well sir,' the Twi'lek dock worker said, 'enjoy your stay.'

'Thanks again,' the Kiffar Grey Jedi said. He shook the Twi'lek's hand and walked towards the entrance of the station.

At the entrance he suddenly sensed something... someone... in the Force. He looked up and saw a pretty Amaran girl up ahead. The Kiffar shrugged and just moved on. There were lots of Force Users aboard this station, he was sure of it. And besides, he was no Bogan nor Jedi. Not anymore. He didn't have to recruit anyone.

Jainee and Kellyn were walking through the boarding halls just outside the docking bay where her ship was located. She wasn't paying much attention to the level of force sensitivity she was feeling there, simply because it wasn't uncommon to find force sensitives in such a large and populated ship. What she didn't expect, however, was the force signature in the large kiffar that had just passed her. She could determine whether it was because he was attractive, or because of his unique force sensitivity, that made her turn and get a second glance.

"Cap'n?" Kellyn asked curiously, looking back and forth between Jainee and the man who passed by.

"Excuse me..." She said nervously, not entirely sure of what she was doing. Her lightsaber was within grasp if she needed it, but she had a feeling she wouldn't.

"Cap'n, what the hell are you doing?" Kellyn whispered. Jainee gave her a silencing look. She turned and faced the Kiffar if he chose to acknowledge her existence. Her tail swayed back and forth nervously. She flipped a few strands of blue hair out of her face.

Koran walked down the hallway, his hands tucked in the pockets of his jacket, when suddenly that Amaran appeared in front of him. He almost bumped into her, but could stop just in time.

'O, sorry, milady, I didn't see you,' he apologized. He found it rather odd that this Amaran stood in front of him all of the sudden. He had the feeling that she needed something. Maybe she thought that he was a trader. Or maybe she was a trader and wanted to sell something to him. Maybe she never set foot on the station before and came to ask for directions. To be honest, if it was any of these three things, Koran couldn't help her. He had never been to the station before and he wasn't looking to buy or sell things.

'Can I help you?' he asked. He wasn't really looking to get involved with another's issues, but it just wouldn't be polite if he just pushed her aside and walked on without looking back. And besides, she was good looking for an Amaran. She had a nice fur and pretty eyes.

He looked at her, curiously. He was taller than her, and so he had to look down. Some other people passed them by as they stood in the middle of the hallway. Koran brushed a few of his dreadlocks out of his face and wondered what this was all about.

"I-I'm sorry," Jainee said, flustered. She looked down, trying to remember why she really even stopped him. "This is gonna sound really weird... Um, I'm a Jedi... I felt your... Force signature, and it's not like anything I've ever felt before... You aren't light nor dark, but in the middle... Oh! What was I thinking! I'm captain Jainee Heron of the Harriot. This is my first mate, Kellyn. May I ask your name?" Jainee asked nervously. She wasn't going to leave the Jedi behind after she had just become a full fledged padawan, but she was very curious to this sort of affiliation.

"Nice to meet you," Kellyn said with a polite courtsey. If Kellyn wasn't the typical red furred amaran, she could pass for Jainee's sister. Jainee liked her blue coat, though. To her, it was unique and held its' own level of attractiveness. She felt like a stand-out, yes, but not in a bad way. Kellyn had the same face and body as Jainee, but with a red coat. She was more of the usual Amaran type as compared to Jainee. But Kellyn didn't mind.

The towering Kiffar looked from Jainee to Kellyn, and from Kellyn to Jainee. Well, this wasn't quite what he'd expected. He couldn't help but smile. That had been different in the past. When he was still a Dark Master of the Bogan, he tended to get angry really fast. O, when he thought of how much he'd smiled the last few weeks, that filled him with happiness. Yes, he really felt good. Very good. His pale-brown eyes twinkled.

'O, uh...' he began when he realized he was supposed to answer to her question. 'Sorry, just had an absent minded moment. Uhm... I'm...' he hesitated for a moment. He was still kind of suspicious when people asked him for his name, but that was understandable, considering what he'd been through. He decided to just take the risk, because this girl didn't look like (or feel like) a Darksider. He sensed no Dark Side-aura around her. Not at all.

'I'm Koran,' he said, 'of Clan Mak. From Kiffu. Nice to meet the both of you.' He extended his hand to shake first Jainee's, then Kellyn's. It was a big hand, that would most likely cover the Amarans' entire hands. It was kind of a comical image.

Jainee took his hand and shook it, taking in the sensation of having her hand engulfed by a much larger one, and then Kellyn did the same. Jainee smile as she looked up at him. "Koran, huh? It's a pleasure to meet you," she said politely. He seemed like a nice enough man, respectful and calm. He was fairly built as well. Kellyn thought the same thing.

"What brings you to the station here?" Kellyn asked. Jainee looked over at Kellyn. She hoped she didn't start prying too far by asking a bunch of questions. The had just met the guy after all. It would make it odd if they did a mini interrogation there on the spot. She looked back over at Koran, her blue eyes once again taking the features of his muscular arms.

'How I got here,' he said, 'now that's kind of a stupid story, actually. You are allowed to laugh at me if you feel like it, because that's what I deserve, I suppose.' He grinned. 'You see, I was flying through space with my vessel when suddenly some red lights began to flash. I looked at my dashboard and saw that my ship was almost out of fuel. It's truly a matter of sheer luck that I came across this station, otherwise I'd be floating through space. And then I'd be in some real trouble. Now you may laugh.' He spread his arms: come on, laugh at me.

Then he began to laugh himself, because it really was stupid of him. After all he'd been through in his life, you'd think he wouldn't get into trouble like this.

'And what about you two? What brings you to this station?' he asked.

"More or less, it's business. The republic hired my crew and I to bring supplies to this station. More things involving the cease-fire between the republic and Hutts, I imagine. For now, my crew and I are enjoying some well deserved time off," Jainee said as she stretched her arms behind her back. She shifted her weight to one leg and smiled. She was starting to feel a bit more comfortable around him. He was an honest guy.

"We have a bit of free time, if you'd like to join us. We know this station pretty well," Kellyn said with a smile. It was true, they'd been there enough to know it by heart. "And if you're wanting to pick up some gifts, we can show you the more unique gift shops around," she added.

Koran raised his hands and shoulders at the same time: why not? He smiled to both of them and then said, to both of them: 'Lead the way. I've never been here before so I trust in your greater wisdom.'

When they walked down the hallway, some of the other people who walked by looked up in surprise when they saw the towering Kiffar and the two Amaran girls. Granted, it was not something you'd see every day.

'Where are your crewmembers?' he asked curiously, first looking to Jainee and then looking over to Kellyn.

"Oh, they're out anywhere. They're enjoying their time they have, probably blowing their credits," Jainee said with a short laugh. She hoped her crew was having a good time.

"We'd all been so busy since Jainee was in training, and now that she's back, we can actually get another good paying job. As much as Jainee tells me I'm a good captain, I veg to differ. That's why I'm first mate, and she's captain," Kellyn said. Jainee smiled slightly.

"What kind of ship do you own?" Jainee asked.

'I have a light freighter. It's nothing special,' he explained. 'Two sleeping quarters, one cargo hold, an engine room and of course a cockpit. It's a fast ship, though. And what kind of ship do you have?'

Meanwhile, Koran looked around the station. There really were lots and lots of traders. He even saw a few mercenaries and some bounty hunters standing about. They passed by a group of smugglers who were talking about contraband. He also sensed quite a few individuals who seemed to be sensitive to the Force, but that was normal. Force Sensitives were everywhere.

"My ship is a bit of a large freighter. It was commissioned on Coruscant when I received my piloting license. I named it the Harriot after my fathers' old ship," Jainee explained, noticing the amount of bounty hunters and mercenaries that were starting to appear. It was more than there usually was on the station. They were honest hunters looking to trade, from what she could feel, but she also felt one or two that were hunting something. "She's fast and holds together. We'll be here for another week, though. Engines need a tune up."

"According to our mechanical officer. The ship does a self routine check almost every other day. I only assume he's just worrying," Kellyn said. She looked around at the many traders in the merchant hall, holding up prizes and odd looking trinkets from Hutt worlds that no one would've ever head of before. There was one that caught her eye; a set up with several Jedi artifacts and lightsabers for sale. She'd never heard of anything like that. She figured Jainee would enjoy a peek at what they had. "Cap'n, over there!" She said as she pointed to it. Jainee looked over and was about to walk over to it.

Koran looked up when Kellyn pointed out the merchant who was trying to sell Jedi artifacts. He looked at it, a little bit confused. The merchant even sold lightsabers. The Kiffar wondered if those sabers were even real, or just some of those cheap-ass lightfoils.

He followed the two Amarans over to the merchant. He took a look at the items. The hilts of the sabers looked pretty, but he doubted any of these matched his own lightsaber.

'Good day,' the merchant said, 'see anything you like?'

Koran looked up to the merchant. 'These are lightsabers, aren't they?' he asked, as if he didn't know the first thing about Jedi stuff. Of course, he didn't want the merchant (or any of the other people inside this station, except for Jainee and Kellyn) to know that he was a very powerful Force User himself.

'Yes, these are fine lightsabers the Jedi use in combat,' the merchant said.

Koran glanced over to Jainee. She'd told him she was a Jedi. He wondered what she thought of this. He looked back to the merchant and asked: 'Where did you get these? Did you kill a Jedi?'

The merchant laughed out loud. 'O, no, sir! No I didn't! Where I got these is... a trading secret.'

'I see,' Koran said. He crossed his arms and glanced back to the two Amarans. He wasn't interested in buying any of these weapons, because he didn't think that any of these were that good... and besides, his own lightsaber was the best he could get. Someone else might disagree, but a lightsaber was always something personal. At least, that's how he saw it.

(Time to spice things up for a short bit of time :3 feel free to end or prolong this as much as you'd like)

"These aren't real lightsabers," Jainee said plainly. She held one of the lightsabers that was almost exactly like her own. It was a unique hilt with an intricuit pattern cut into it, all silver and red, but Jainee knew one thing about her lightsaber; it was the only one of its' kind. It was a family heirloom of hers' and used to look like the one she held in her hand until she got it, then hers turned blue and gold. "You should consider what you're selling before you sell it, and realize that you'll piss people off for selling fakes," she said, then turned to look around but jumped in shock. One of the hunters was right behind her. Immediately, she knew what he was; a Jedi hunter. What was worse was he had a lightsaber of his own on his belt.

"But you fell right into our trap, Jedi. See, I've learned several tricks, such as masking my presence in the force. All it took was for you to walk right over, a beacon of light in a place like this. Didn't the Jedi teach you anything?" the man asked darkly. Jainee backed away slowly, keeping her hand near her lightsaber. Kellyn grabbed the lightsaber Jainee was just inspecting and ignited the blade. A red beam of light hissed forth, echoing of the dark side with every second it remained on. Both the hunter and Jainee looked surprised.

"You said they didn't work!!" The hunter yelled. The merchant simply chuckled.

"I said I'd track a Jedi for you, not that they weren't real. What's the matter, hunter? Can't move forward when things don't go to plan?" The merchant chuckled. Kellyn held the blade up and pointed it at the hunter.

"Not another move! Take one step and I'll ram this thing into your skull!" Kellyn said nervously. She looked back at Koran for help.

((OOC: Awesome =D ))

'Well, I'm not trying to sound arrogant or anything,' Koran said to the hunter, stepping forward, 'but I can destroy you in the blink of an eye.' He took his heavy blaster pistol out of the holster. He cocked the gun and aimed it at the hunter's head. If Koran would pull the trigger now, it'd be a shot to the head, point blank. The sight of a towering, muscular Kiffar, armed with a heavy blaster pistol, was frightening.

'And who says she's a Jedi, hm? What if... she studied the Jedi and just happens to know a lot about them? Imagine you kill one who's not even a Jedi. Imagine how stupid you'd look. Now, I'm only going to say this once; get the hell outta my sight.'

He saw the red saber Kellyn was holding in the corner of his eye. He just hoped she knew how to handle a lightsaber, or else she could injure herself badly.

Then, he saw a few more shady looking fellows appearing behind the Jedi Hunter. Apparently, this dude was not alone. It seemed like he had some backup in case things went wrong.

'And I suggest you tell your mates to piss off as well,' Koran said, looking the hunter straight in the eyes.

Jainee took the hint and closed her robe over her lightsaber to hide, but made sure it was still easy to get to. She noticed the other men coming from behind, about three of them. She wished the rest of her crew were around, considering they would outnumber the hunters badly. But her crew were most likely in the other merchant sectors. It was a very large station.

"Who the hell are you? And do you even know how to use one of those things, lil' girl? Lemme show ya," the hunter said as he pulled out his own lightsaber. It, too, was red, but the hilt was more basic and commonly used. Jainee recognized it when her father got a new apprentice every few months or so. This hunter wasn't that skilled. He merely had the blade just for show.

"Trust me, I know how to swing and cut a head off," Kellyn warned. Jainee was worried for her. "So put your saber away before either I cut your head off, or my friend blows it off. I'll let you choose."

The three fellows behind the hunter drew their own blaster pistols. Koran saw it and knew that this would get either nasty or very nasty. Apparently it was very nasty, because the Jedi Hunter ignited that toy-saber of his.

'I've fought and killed plenty of Jedi and Dark Jedi,' Koran said, looking the hunter straight in the eyes. That was the truth. He towered over the Jedi Hunter and the Hunter's lightsaber didn't intimidate Koran at all. He pressed the barrel of his blaster to the man's head and said: 'So, what's it gonna be, huh?' His finger was on the trigger.

The Hunter glanced at Koran, and Koran could see that the man was pretty nervous now.

'Back off!' one of the Hunter's friends shouted. 'Or we'll gun you down!'

Koran frowned. 'And then what? I'm no Jedi, the girls ain't Jedi. There are no Jedi here, guys. Maybe if you try on Coruscant, I heard there's some kind of temple there. Now, either you guys go, or this is gonna get messy.'

The Jedi Hunter deactivated his lightsaber and dropped it to the floor. He held up both hands: I surrender. Koran looked from the Hunter to his friends and smirked.

'Apparently,' he said, 'your mate here is smart.'

'Put the guns away!' the Jedi Hunter shouted, a little bit tense. 'Now!'

When the thugs finally realized that they were simply outmatched (even though they had a larger group) they tucked their weapons back in their holsters. They glanced at each other and now they looked a little nervous as well.

'Ok,' Koran said, 'this is what we'll do. You,' he pushed with the barrel of his gun to the Hunter's head, 'are gonna take a few steps backwards. Then you turn around and all of you idiots bugger off. Pray that we won't meet again.'

The Jedi Hunter slowly backed away, like Koran had told him to do. Then, he and his friends quickly ran off. They realized that this Kiffar and these Amarans just weren't the types to mess with. Koran tucked the gun back in the holster and then bent down to pick up the Hunter's saber. He turned around to face Jainee and Kellyn again.

'Well, ladies,' he said with a slight smirk, 'that was not quite what I'd expected. I just hope this didn't ruin your day.'

((Of course not, mate. XD it only gets more interesting and fun when things become unexpected. As long as the thread is alive, I'm fine with anything.))

"You managed pretty well in a tight spot," Jainee said with a grateful smile. Kellyn was still shaking slightly, but managed to turn the hissing red lightsaber back off. "It takes a lot to be able to kill both Jedi and dark Jedi, though. Care to talk about it over dinner?" She asked. She was curious about Korans' life and past. She found herself wanting to know more about him.

"The red Amaran, there, is a curious one. You would throw your life away for a friend by picking up a cursed weapon?" The merchant asked. Jainee was curious as to what the man meant. Kellyn simply nodded though. Jainee and Kellyn had been friends since children, so Kellyn would've died many times for Jainee, and vise versa. "I see. That lightsaber is of your race. It used to belong to a very powerful dark Jedi, a dark master, in point of fact."

"Wait, who, exactly?" Jainee asked. Her heart suddenly stopped. Could it be? Her father had two lightsabers after all?

"Oh... It's been a while... The holocron was sold already, but the bogan was called Uthral Heron, I think..." The merchant said. Jainee looked down, her face suddenly riddled with sadness. She missed her father, even if he was a Dark Jedi. "If you want it, you can keep it... You seem to know that name well to bare an expression such as that," he said. Kellyn looked at Jainee.

"I'll hold onto it for you, Cap'n," She said. Jainee smiled, and then looked at Koran. She forgot he was there for a moment.

"I'm sorry, Koran... My father... He was Uthral Heron, a dark master who was slain by the Bogan himself in front of me... I know it's a wonder I'm a Jedi after that, but it's what he would've wanted..." Jainee said. She forced a smile before looking at the saber hilt in Kellyn's hands.

"Well, let's go get something to eat, eh? C'mon, Koran," Kellyn said with a smile, putting her arm over Jainee's shoulders.

Erik was relaxing in the station's galley/cafeteria(or restaurant). The atmosphere was busy, with groups of various kinds mingling and intermingling. He sighed. For all he knew, things seem to be going good. He made his delivery to the contact waiting onboard the Station, and he was paid well.

At least it all seemed to be well.
